    Default Thighs...

    I'm wondering if any of you all have your thighs as a "problem" area as I do. I am a thin small boned person, but for the life of me can't seem to lose my thighs. I think it's genetic. I feel pretty comfortable with my body in general but have always been sensitive about my thighs. Do any of you all have any good tips on how to lose flabby thighs and get a firmer smoother thigh and butt? I have thought about suction but I'm really scared about the results being bad and can't even afford it at the moment. Does the lighting in a lot of clubs hide these kinds of flaws?

    Oh the thighs!! The bane of ever woman's existence....
    Well one word: Stairmaster. If you set the machine on high resistance it can work wonders. Also, never underestimate basic squats. They really tone up the quadriceps and glutes. I've also found the Nautilus trainers adductor and abductor machines work well. I don't know what anyone else's experiece has been but resistance and weights have done it for me and done the most to tighten up the muscle in my legs. Cardio is also important. I run 4-6 miles probably 4 times a week. I know running hurts a lot of my friends knees, so maybe spinning will work. I'm in college so if I have a lot of reading to do I will go to the gym and just bike for an hour or so while I do work. Hope some of this helps!

    One word: Pilates

    It tones up alot of areas and increases your flexibility without much trouble on your end. You wouldn't believe how much some of the simple moves tone !

    Do it often... that's basically how any exercise regime/program works in the end... you have to do it regularly: at least 3 times a week.

    I have tried everything. I think with me it is genetic as well. I have thin arms and legs...Kinda, (legs), but i have an ass that i can't downsize, no matter what i do/don't do. So i live with it.

    When i started doing lifts with leg weights they started going away for me

    When you say flabby , do you mean weak muscles or fat on your thighs?
    If your muscles are weak do squats for your quadraceps, leg bicep curls for your hamstrings and hip abductor exercises for your glutes. Also stair stepper and treadmill will help.
    If it is fat, then take some fat burning cardio workout.
