I just got new white tips done yesterday, and was planning on painting my toenails since my shoes are open-toed. Do I need to have my fingernails matching? Or would it look ok to leave my fingers like they are....sure look pretty

I would leave them like they are. You say they sure look pretty. All that counts is what you like on your body. And no, you do not have to match nails and fingernails, anymore. That trend went out along time ago. I like nice bare clean filed toenails myself. And white tips look great on nails these days. But this is coming from someone who does not have either one done. I just let my nails grow (not long at all) and keep them natural. Same for feet. Pamela
I ALWAYS match my finger and toe nails. I do white tips (french manicure) too, so I always have my feet done the same. You can either have them painted that way or have white acrylic put on which lasts MUCH longer.
BTW, guys seem to LOVE this look. I think it makes you look well put together, like you're paying attention to the details.
You can buy a french kit at the store with the white polish, or with white stickers (which is supposed to be easier to use) for your tips. If you don't want to go this route, it will look nice if you polish your toes the same base as your nails, and use the white nail tatoos (usually butterflies, flowers or hearts) on your big toes. If this is too much, I would just use a shiny pink or beige tone, like the base on your nails.

I personally like to keep my hands and feet looking "neutral" basically, I can wear any outfit, and won't look tacky. I like white tips. It looks more clean and polished to me.
