    Default Hollywood Celebrity Diet

Anyone tried this? Does it work, and how does it work?

I know it's pretty darn silly, but I am desperate! I am auditioning Monday (eeek! It came fast!) I'm starting to freak a bit

    Don't bother,

The reason you lose weight on this diet is because you pee out all your waterweight: the result is you look like a deflated balloon and any cellulite is actually ENHANCED (think about it, the fat is still there, but the fluid that makes your skin taut is gone)

I did it once for a wedding, and it got rid of some bloat....but the 7 lbs I lost were right back on as soon as I ate solid food. If you were trying to fit into normal clothes for a special occasion, I'd say go for it.....but if you're going to be baring it on stage...it's going to give you the opposite effect of what you want!

I do something before I have a shoot that works great for me - it works pretty much the same way, but personally I don't see any cellulite being more noticeable.
8am - hot water with lemon
    10am - fresh squeezed carrot/apple juice
12pm - glass of grapefruit juice & glass of water
2pm- hot water with lemon or herbal tea
    6pm - spicy V8
8pm - glass of pineapple juice & glass of water.

if you have a little cellulite, try using (this sounds gross but works) warm coffee grinds as an exfoliant in the shower, and an hour before your audition cover the problem areas with hemorrhoid cream and wrap in saran wrap.

and yes, beautiful britney is right - this is just a quick fix - you put the weight on once you go back to a regular diet unless you change your diet/exercise!

    Hope this helps...

Don't bother with stuff like that Liberty. It's nothing more than a laxative. Diets like that aren't healty for you. I say just stick w/ a balanced diet and plenty of exercise.

Actually, the one i mentioned is a dieuretic and removes water weight - not waste - and is not a laxative. I do not believe in the use of laxatives or things with laxative properties , ie: dieter's tea, etc. Which is only bad for your colon and is indeed unhealthy! Yes, cinnamon is right and regular balanced diet & exercise is most healthy, though in Liberty's instance she didn't have the time alloted for the long-term results and wanted a quick fix. It is completely harmless if a liquid-diet is done for one day(24hrs), and is actually very healthy to remove the toxins from your system! I am leery about the Celeb diet, though, since they want 48 hours, and am not completely sure if it has laxative properties or not.

hehehe I decided to resurrect this old thread because I'm doing the Hollywood diet.

It's 48 hours of water and the bottle of diurectic/laxative type drink.

I did it with a stict fruit and vegetable diet and I nearly lost a pant size of water weight over 2 days! (although it says not to eat, uh, whatever! hahaha)

I don't look shriveled at all... I look revived!
I thought it was an excellent detox! But make sure you are eating the right stuff with it.
And you should keep your calorie base low... and try to keep all your fats omegas!

You might be able to do the same thing just doing an organic juice diet.
but i'm telling you I lost inches around the thighs and stomach!! I came downstairs and my sister said I looked toner... like I had been working out alot the past two days.

    I'm very satisfied!

Good for you ScreaminPeachez!! I have this thing and havent taken it b/c Im afraid I will be living on the toilet for those 48hrs.
I know its part laxitive but did you have to "go" alot?
Ive been such a chicken not doing it. I know its a quick fix thing and not permanant but it would be nice to look better for my new club and for shoots.

I think you can accomplish the same thing with regular juice (I did). It's not a quick fix, but it's a good jump start. I did it for 2 days and then went on a strict diet of fruit, vegetables and lean protein. It's been 2 weeks now and the results are incredible.

I pooped a lot, but it was always solid.

yeah Emily I would mostly agree that the hollywood diet is similar to a juice diet!

I wasn't on the toilet the whole time... the majority of what you're drinking is water.
It's really gentle... your stool isn't loose or painful. It just helped all the impacted food from the past couple days be gently released.
In fact it helped curb my appetite, yet I could still eat.
My diet was strictly vegetarian with beans and tofu as my protein.

If your doing any fasting diet take it easy, no sense "rushing" it. And only do it if you'll be doing moderate exercise. Particularily in the heat.
I can't imagine sticking strictly to the hollywood diet and only drinking the "drink" with water.
    UGH!

Emily, what kind of juices do you prefer.
I myself am a carrot fan.. but I'm looking to find other good anti-oxidants that don't taste too bitter. Are there any good combinations that are tasty?

Ok, I had the above views 2 years ago! I still have the same views..but dayum I got a photoshoot this week, and I need to drop some lbs!! Hopefully I will lose some inches with this. After this, I'm going to eat my fruits/veggies/lean protein.

I drink Carrot and Ginger Juice for energy it's great.
But remember if you don't have a good juicer stuff like ginger and garlic will stain and the smell is really hard to wash off.
