    Default Pubic Hair

Hi, I wanted to know if you girls remove all pubic hair or prefer the landing strip look? Also, I've been waxing, but was wondering if any shaves down there, and if so, please help with suggestions and tips. I notice that when I shave, the hair grows back really yucky, and ingrown hair, and I can't seem to shave all the way down to the roots. Any suggestions?

Also, customers, what do you like better?

It's all clean shaven for me. I can't stand any hair there. It just feels much more comfortable for me. Shaving twice a day morning and night has stopped any kind of ingrown hairs for myself. As far as what men like, I'm not quite sure on that one. When I danced in South Florida I had mixed reviews on the clean shaven look. I had many girls critique me saying that it looked like I was a little girl, but ofcourse I could care less what other women thought of it. As far as what the men told me, many would ask why I shave all of it. My response was always the same, "It just feels better and cleaner for me". Now that I work in Philadelphia I don't get the question as much because the clubs are predominatly topless.

I too shave everything...taking the time to shave a landing strip is just too much of a hassle for me. Up until now I have only worked at topless clubs but tonight I am starting at a nude club...I guess I will just have to see what guys opinions are. Either way, I don't think a guy will base his decision on who to spend money on soley on pubic hair. I would like to try waxing but I would think it would hurt too much, and it takes too long to grow back before you can wax again. I dont have too much of a problem with ingrown hairs, but I hear that applying men's deoderant to the area afterwards is a really good remeady for ingrown hairs. Hope this helps!!

When I dance topless I shave it all, when I dance nude I leave a landing strip. I am naturally blonde and like to have the opportunity to prove it.

I can usually get away with shaving only once a day, and only get irritation when it is a very warm day. I use baby powder and Bikini Zone to keep razor burn and/or ingrown hairs from developing.

I almost have a bush compared to most of the women I dance with - I just like the look of a little more hair down there. I do scrupulously shave underneath, though, and the sides. I use an electric razor and no longer get razor burn. Nothing else worked consistently.
Some guys have a preference - some will tell me they like the hair, some prefer clean-shaven, but it's really not an issue like hair color, body type, face, or boob size. It's up to you. Hell, I work with some gals that go to the trouble to sculpt a little flying V down there. That usually gets some tips doe to the curiosity factor. I experimented with a little heart for a while but the upkeep was ridiculous .
Also, I like what Rochelle said about proving she's a natural blonde - if you are or if you're a natural redhead, definitely leave a little to prove it - guys just love that.

If I can offer my own perspective; I like both styles- shaven and smooth.
Although in my state (PA) I should clarify that I have rarely been shown that bikini area until after hours as the girls are legally prohibited from dancing nude in Philly.
But when we go out and spend time together I tend to lean more towards the feel of a fully shaven (clean shaven) woman as she feels better against my body in most cases.

Quite often although the woman will go to great lengths to trim in a nice V shape the hair has become quite coarse from all of the shaving and the tanning beds and over time when we are together it can be very irritating.

As an aside I had the opportunity to travel to Brazil last winter with a few "friends" and after a few days on the beach and watching the string bikinis (both front and rear) that the girls in Rio wear along with a few nights out at the club scene and the girls had made several female friends and they explained the "Brazilian wax" and how it supposedly heightens sensitivity.

I thought that it might be interesting so I went with them to a local spa and watched one or two. They use a wax with lanolin in it and a wide applicator, the "trick" is to use hot (steaming) towels with witch hazel first and then to treat the area with an oil (I believe it was Neutrogena based on the smell and no- I am not gay or anything like that I do however spend a lot of my time with woman and you learn what smells like what).

The end result is very sensual IMHO, it feels very smooth and it lasts for most girls about 3 weeks.

On the other hand I have a friend who is also a natural blond and her hair is as soft and as thin as silk and it feels fantastic. I have another friend who hates the shape and size of her “vertical smile” and she very carefully grooms herself to hide the height or over all distance that her “smile” appears to start at. So maybe it depends upon the women’s natural hair texture and body shape as well?

    Thanks for listening,

Q, nude clubs aren't prohibited in Philly... there's several of them.

    Alanna,
The only one that I have ever been told of is in Reading and it is a bring your own beer place called Al's.

I guess I am going to have to get out more.

    Q,

Daydreams, and Show n Tell. Both nude in Philadelphia.
BYOB. I don't know if you will like these clubs as there are sort of aimed more torwards 18 to 21 year olds. Also, known to be a little seedy. But, it could be an experience. Good luck!

I shave a bigger heart shape - I sometimes have symetrical issues and shave it and start over tho. In general, the heart makes me more money than a landing strip.
I never shave completely because the little girl thing is just too perverted for me. But, if you have a young look and don't mind the little girl thing, shaving completely can work really well for you.

nude clubs in PA are all BYOB cause that's the law. but since they don't serve alcohol, they let in the under 21 folks (who generally have no money and/or are shopping for a girlfriend). Scarlet's in Allentown is also nude, but that place has really gone down hill. Erv's (also in Allentown) is nude, too. Al's is ok... the neighborhood really sucks though. i know a couple girls that work there... at least, i think one of them still does.

Just a thought. Maybe a lot of men like the clean shaven look not because "It's a little girl pervert thing", but because guys that like to go down on girls find that you don't get the hairs in the back of there throat. And when having sex it feels better. Just a thought. I asked a couple of guys yesterday at work why they perefered the clean shaven and that's what I was told.

It was surprising to me how most men that I talked to were in the kind of "To each his own", mentality. As opposed to most women who actually seem to take offense by it. Just a thought.

Wow, thanks for the replies. My question is, how do I shave without having ingrown, stubby, hair. I hate that, and it doesn't look good. I'd rather not wax if I didn't have to, because it hurts so damn much, so what helps with peventing the ingrown hairs? So far I've heard baby powder? Also, are electric shavers better for this than the disposable ones?
Most girls at my club shave it all off.

I have had the best luck with an electric razor. It will take a week or two for your hair to adjust to this - to be really smooth - but it is the only thing that has worked for me. I usually have hair but even when I shave it all off it does a terrific job - especially with the sensitive lip areas.
Although it doesn't work for me, I know plenty of girls that swear by Bikini Zone. My problem is that I have such sensitive skin that I will even get breakouts on my rear from shaving the sensitive "inner thigh" area.
Don't shave for a week or so, if you can, to let all of the irritation and ingrown hairs go away, then try the method of your choosing. You'll probably have to experiment with a few but trust me, there will be as many recommended ways to shave as there are girls that post on this board.

How about lazer hair removal? I'm extremely sensitive to shaving, and every method just doesn't seem to give perfect results ...

i'd be interested in having my "personal area" lasered off for good, too. however, i've yet to find a place that does laser hair removal, and i have no idea what it costs. actually, i'd like to have all the hair on my legs and underarms zapped off for good, too. what a blessing to never have to mess with razors, razor burn, cuts, Bikini Zone, baby powder, speed stick and all the other paraphernalia that goes along with hair removal. in the long run, i'd imagine that laser hair removal would be more cost effective also... i don't even want to know how much i spend in a year just to get rid of the hair and deal with or avoid irritation.

I hate hair - I ,too, shave everything. Everything is just so much cleaner. The only problem is tight g-strings and camel-toe. Oh well. :-/

Desiree- It's really good to exfoliate before you shave - unclogs the pores and makes the skin smoother for a close shave. Also, the best razor I've used is the Turbo Mach 3 for men. It's fabulous - change the razor fairly often - the biggest thing that causes ingrown hairs is an old razor. When I shave it's literally babysmooth - you can't even see any stubble - and it's because of the shave cream - I use the Dermalogica shaving emolliant - a water soluble oil that clings - so there are no air pockets like shaving gel/cream creates - the shave is ultra smooth. The next best thing to it is the Aramis Lab Series Shave Cream.

    Good luck!

Some places require you to have a minimum amount of hair if you are dancing nude. I know that when I danced in Atlanta and portions of Florida in 1996, if you went nude you had to have certain amount covering you. So for some people, that may be the rule of the day, regarding what their personal preferences may be.

personally, i wouldn't work in a club that required that i have a certain amount of bush any more then i would work in a club that required me to, say, dye my hair green. what i do with my bush is a matter of personal preference outside of dancing... it just so happens that a baldy is more acceptable then a bushy as far as dancing goes.

I have to agree with Alanna, it is very strange that a club (or local laws, whatever) require you to leave a certain amount of hair in such a personal place. I have never heard of such a thing. ??? So I guess if a girl did get it all lasered off she would have a hard time finding work in a nude club in Atlanta/Florida? (assuming the rules are still in effect.)

i would guess that the local law was designed to hide certain female parts with the hair. some girls' parts are... er... more visable then other girls' parts. but that hair law sort of defeats the point of a nude club... if it needs to be hidden with fur, why not just hide it with a g-string? i'd think customers would rather see a g-string then a fuzzy beaver anyway.

ya know, since i've been shaving off mine since the day it first appeared, i've sometimes checked out the area that requires hair maintenance and marvelled at how hideous it would look if i ever let the whole business grow back... *gasp* ALIEN!!! :o

All right, I'm going to defend the hair. I sure don't have an all natural look, more of a triangle in the front is my style, and I'm told a lot by guys how much they like it and are glad that I don't take it all off.
The Atlanta laws are strange but true! I would have loved to have been at *that* city council meeting - "Our next item is minimum amount of hair required on the pudendum of nude entertainers." And you know what this led to, right? If you are a nude dancer in Atlanta that likes to shave clean, you have the option of buying a little bitty racing stripe wig to stick on down there when you work.

I have to defend hair too. I have a racing stripe and I get alot of comments on how "clean" my "area" looks from customers. I think it's about grooming and keeping the hair that is there trimmed. Just yesterday I had a guy at my stage comment about how put off he was by the dancer onstage before me's "bald beaver" - as he put it. A couple of other customers nearby joined in and agreed. In general, the guys know we grow hair, so as long as it's properly groomed, I think a guy is more likely to be put off by a "bare girl" than a "strip girl."
Also, some girls have REALLY ugly genitals and calling attention to them by shaving bald is a bad idea. (Although the majority of the ladies with this particular shortcoming seem to be completely shaven - go figure.)

Personally, I prefer shaved with hair up-top. Trimmed triangles, stripes, and other shapes.

But bald kinda wierds me out...I don't want to think of babies...
We all imagine ourselves the agents of our destiny, capable of determining our own fate. But have we truly any choice in when we rise, or when we fall, or does a force larger than ourselves bid us our direction. Is it evolution that takes us by the hand, does Science point our way, or is it God who intervenes keeping us safe.

So much struggle for meaning, for purpose. And in the end, we find it only in each other. Our shared experience of the fantastic. And the mundane. The simple human need to find a kindred, to connect. And to know in our hearts... that we are not alone.
