I'm considering having a breast augmentation. Anyone else have one? What should I look for in doctors? How long was it before you started dancing again? How did it affect your dancing and income?

Yep.... had one, but only AFTER I quit dancing. For a variety of reasons, I had a trans-ax incision (that's armpit) and went with smooth, round, unders (McGhan 450's). That took me from a "barely B" to a DD.
With my incision, I could have been back at dancing in about 3 months, but would still have a slightly visible scar. With other incisions (areola, for example), you could be back dancing in a month or so. In the very heavy "touch" clubs, you might want to wait a little longer, until the pocket fully heals.
If you want more info, I can refer you to some excellent web sites and advice.

The dumb kid is back!

Never had a BA, but if you read the thread ASU Racer posted the link for, I must agree with the information about researching your anesthesiologist-to-be as well.
This is because I have had not one, not two, BUT THREE separate incidences of anesthesia screw-ups, one of which resulted in a spinal fluid leak that theoretically could have allowed foreign pathogens into my spinal column. Note, however, that only one of these was an NA, and the other two were actual doctors. My dad also had anesthesia problems as a result of a doctor screw-up, and he almost died on the table.
So, even if they ARE an actual doctor, research them anyways.
You may also want to see if it is viable to do some form of the modern twilight sleep, which for me was a combination of Demerol and Versed (side benefit? Versed causes a mild form of amnesia - you won't remember any of the surgery). I don't know if they can do it with a BA, but it would seem like a slightly safer way of going, because you are not technically all the way under - you are still very slightly conscious. But generally speaking, you don't feel anything and are pretty much unaware.
Just a thought.
