I did to find a good tax guy. I live in San Diego area, does anyone have any advice? I don't want to randomly pick someone out of the phone book.

I don't live in San Diego, but I have two suggestions. You might ask the girls at work if they have a good one they use. One advantage to that is that he would already be familar with your line of work. Also, if you have regulars that are small businessmen, you might ask them to reccomend someone. Just make sure that they are okay with you telling the tax guy how you met.

I got lucky my tax man used to strip! but i am in Florida. I would think you would want one with knowledge dealing with people in the adult industry.

Ask the manager/owner of the club. They should have a good one who knows the ins and outs of this business in your area.

i would just ask him how many dancers he has done taxes for and maybe ask your co workers if they recommend anybody in case this guy doesnt work out.but if he is not aggressive and willing to show you a few things on filing taxes as a dancer to help you save money than i would consider getting someone else...just make sure he or she is not up tight ..for example scared of bending the rule per say.no liying or cheating just showing you all the things you can write off and the things you are not familar with. hth
