I love techno, too. Used to go-go dance at a few clubs and also used it a lot for stripping.

    Happy Ones are:

--Boom Boom Boom--Venga Boys (that's right--this song worked for me!)

    --Where's Your Head At?--Bassment Jaxx

--Led Zepplin's "Babe I'm Leavin' You" Remix--Paul Okenfold

    --Bob Marley's "Rainbow Country" Remix

    --Dreaming--BT

    --Miracle

    --"Let's Get Loud"--Jennifer Lopez

    --Higher and Higher--Alice Dee Jay

    Darker ones:

    --Fuck With Your Head--DJ Rap

Can't think of any more darker ones.

Vaden are you from around Orlando? You are listing some of my favorite artists and tracks...

I love all kinds of techno except the housey schlocky stuff, but Breakbeat techno is my favorite. This sound is very big in Orlando. Detroit has been disappointing as far as the techno scene, which is supposed to be big up here, but seems to be mostly house sounding stuff. But maybe I haven't been to the right clubs yet.

I love and have played everything you listed except the Urbal Beats 1 track.

Have you checked out Urbal Beats 2? It is a double Cd, and the tracks #5 from both discs are fantastic, being hip-hop/techno mixes. The one from CD1 is a Method Man remix called "Make 'em Move". The one from CD2 I don't know the name of--I got these second hand without the case or covers, but it is equally hot--someting like "I Want my Planet Back".

If you like these artists, you must like:

    DJ Icey
    Eric Beretta
    DJ Huda Hudia
    Dave London

and DJ Rob E, who is probably my favorite.

If you are near Orlando you should pick up The Orlando Breakz series, especially vols. 2 and 3. Vol.1 was just alright-nothing spectacular, and vol.4 has it's moments (two tracks are especially good).

I have them Djoser! I am friends with DJ Konception and DJ Fixx. My ex knows DJ Whatt and my room mate hangs out with DJ Baby Anne so, I am kept up to date on alot of new tracks. A close friend of mine even did the back up singing in one of Fixx's latest tracks which is also his girlfriend.

I am further south from Orlando.

    I love break-beats also.

O.B.E, stands for "Out of body experience", check it out!
It's a more relaxing tune to just chill to

I will keep you up to date on any new jams!

    Milla:

    Darker Techno would be:

Le Syndicat Electronique - anything ('Philosophe' is their/his LP) (Invasion Panete Records)

Porn.Darsteller - 'Romance' and 'Private' LPs (Invasion Planete Records)

    Beta Evers - Passion e.p. (Kommando 6)

Dopplereffekt - everything (there is a decent collection, 'Gesamkunstwerk' on Gigolo Records compiling most of the original releases)

    Ultradyne - e.p. on SCSI

Adult. - anything (surprised the few electroclashers on here didn't mention Adam and Nicola - this is the real deal imitated by shite like Miss Kittin)

Bam Bam - Where is Your Child? (so dark it will drive your clients away unless you work in a leather bar)

There are two compilations called SERIE NOIRE (on Eskimo), that bridge New Beat, Old Techno and Darker New Wave into a fairly cohesive package.

There's a great new compilation of older French electronic on Tigersushi called SO YOUNG AND SO COLD... the title track is real dark.

and last but not least my favorite piece of dark (real Detroit) techo:

    NIGHT DRIVE - Model 500

Serie Noire, that sounds like an irresistable combination, I will be checking that out...

Are you from Detroit? Could you recommend any good clubs that don't just play house? Preferably ones that let under 21 year olds in (as my girlfriend is 20).

    DJoser:

Nah... I'm a NYer currently stationed in L.A. You didn't go to DEMF though a few months ago??? That was a crazy party... electro and electro breaks djs from all around. I don't know the Detroit scene... though I know the climate is back to old Chi-town house and acid (and all that noodly Theo Parrish disco stuff.) I personally, being a DJ for many years, love it... but I am sure there are some old Detroit style techno/electro spots.

This is the website for Drexciya/Ultradyne and related artists
    http://www.submerge.com/

and also Mike Banks/Underground Resistance site:
    http://www.undergroundresistance.com/home.html

email them I'm sure they can help...

Being from Florida... I'm surprised you can't find the booty clubs... booty is HUGE in Detroit (that came out wrong but sounds so right!!!)

    And Milla:

I also forgot to mention Drexciya and UR. Great dark electro. Also check out Blake Baxter.... the sleazemaster... probably good for dancing.

    BTW:

not my style but people who like Miss Kittin and Felix type 'clashy; stuff might want to check out Touch of Class Records. Good runway music... especially "Fashionist" by Waldorf. And the "Techpop" compilation and "NYC Electroclash" comps are good for this as well.
