I know cowboys are guys too...haha
But they seem to just watch and sit there drinking beer.
Are there any songs(western or cowboy type songs, I mean) that might get them up to tip ?
I mean ones that are good dancing songs, not just rowdy songs?

I don't know if it will work on cowboys but last night I got one hell of a dance to Rob Zombies cover of Brickhouse. It was cool she did not mind me dancing back to her and we where singing it to each other. Very fun![]()
Don't make me spank you!

I once saw a girl in a super redneck town dance to that song.... You don't haaaaaaaaaaff to caawwl me darlin, daaarrliiin....EVERY dude in the place was standing up, draft beer mug or pitcher raised in the air, singing at the top of his lungs, throwing money on the stage with his free hand. She wore a chaps set and HAD to have made $100 on stage that set. It was a small club.
Dude. That song is by David Allen Coe and it's called "You Never Even Called Me by My Name." It is a classic redneck song, guaranteed to bring down the house in any redneck or sailor bar.
I'm a closet redneck. I used to barrel race in high school and was a member of the FFA. (Oh, the shame...)
Do play:
Chris LeDoux and Garth Brooks, "Whatcha Gonna Do With a Cowboy"
Hank Williams Jr, "Family Tradition" (another classic song, every redneck in America is born knowing the words)
Hank Williams Jr, "All My Rowdy Friends (Are Coming Over Tonight) This song is fast, preview it first, and make sure it is NOT his other song called "All My Rowdy Friends" (Have Settled Down)
"Marie LeVeux", I think by the Charlie Daniels Band.
"Texas Tornado", by Alan Jackson
"Jose Cuervo", by Shelly West
Do not play:
Garth Brooks, "Friends in Low Places" This is considered "dork country". Overplayed and only enjoyed by urban cowboy pussy wanna-bes.
Anything meant to be line-danced to, such as the Rednex "Cotton-Eyed Joe", unless you can actually line dance to it in your platforms.
He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you. ~ Friedrich Nietzsche
what part of the country are you in? try playing "local" stuff, im not a big country fan but being from texas ive grown up drinking to guys like robert earl keen and pat green. brings back good memories for me
She thinks my tractor is sexy
Should of been a Cowboy
Wink
These are the best ones to dance to for country
(I'm in central Texas too, "M". I've heard LOTs of country music, but never thought of them as stripper songs, ya know?)
Wow!
What Great suggestions, everyone!
(I'd forgotten about "Jose Cuervo"...Great Song, Lilith!...but how easy would that be to dance too)
Thank you Very Much, everybody!
Jose Quervo...you are a friend of mine
Devil went down to Georgia
Lousianna woman, Mississippi Man
smart, pretty, horny.........pick two.
"Trouble"Travis Tritt
I Would Never Belong To Any Club That Would Have Me As A Member - Groucho Marx
Hey guys!
Thanks for those ideas. But I just found a song that illustrates the kind of tempo and Heavy Back BEAT that she likes to dance to. It doesn't have quite the Horny message we usually like her songs to have. But it has a few good lines, and the Heavy Back Beat.
It's the old Janie Frickie song, "He's a Heartache (Looking for a Place to Happen)"
If you can get a copy of that and listen to it, you'll see the kind of Heavy BEAT and tempo I'm looking for.
She's good with slow erotic songs to, but is a really high energy dancer that Really likes to drive to that Heavy BEAT!
Check it out, please.....and if you know any others like that, please tell me, OK?
Aaron Tippin - Kiss This
Alabama - Dixieland Delight
Alabama - Mountain Music
Alan Jackson - Gone Country
Alan Jackson - Who's Cheatin' Who
Alannah Myles - Black Velvet
Allman Brothers - Midnight Rider
Bellamy Brothers - Redneck Girl
Need more ideas?
thanks bdoc,
I know most of those songs. And I don't think they have the naughty suggestive message that I'm looking for.
I'll check on the "Kiss This" song, though. It does sound(from the title) like it Would have that naughty message content I'm looking for...hehe
thanks
ok, the ones I gave you so far are pretty much redneck anthems now. Naughty suggestions? Hmmm, try Confederate Railroad's Trashy Women. It works great especially is you have a LARGE blonde wig. hehe
Brooks & Dunn: Boot Scoot Boogie
maybe?
it's the Intardnet, let's all have fun and nothing is personal. it's all an illusion.
I love that one! I've never danced to it, though. She thinks my tractor is sexy

BIG & RICH "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy"
Whoa, tough one. The tempo of country music makes it hard to dance to......I think some of the cowboys are shy too......
My half-joking suggestion for Latina dancers is to play all of Marty Robbins' songs about loving little Mexican women, and then make big velvet-painting sad eyes at the cowboys....ha ha ha ha......
Don't forget "Man Of Constant Sorrow". Seems to bring them to the stage almost as fast as David Allen Coe.
redneck woman

wanna good one for a dancer with attitude??
Reba-Take it back
Its like country meets big band swing.
I actually mixed it with You can leave your hat on bye joe cocker.

Gosh, just the other night I was forced to dance to country music because of the girl on the "music-choosing" stage. They were songs I had never heard of, and difficult to dance to, but I did my best. Actually, I think more people flocked to my stage than hers!

Oh inna west texas town called El Paso there lived a little Mexican girrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl.
ehem sorry MadMaxine took me back there for a minute.

"out in the west texas town of el paso,I fell in love with a mexican girl"Originally Posted by ArmySGT.

Great country classic song, might be rough to dance to because its so long and has many tempo changes from slow to slower.lol

"she ain't into cars or pick up trucks, but if it runs like a deer man her eyes light uuuuuupppppppp"
she thinks my tractor's sexy has worked suprisingly well for me in a country set and is a lot of fun.
Save a horse, ride a cowboy is an obvious one that works well....unless it's been used earlier, which if anybody did a coutry set then it probably has been.
I think there's a fair amount of shania twain that can sound country, but not scare off the guys in the bar who aren't into it.....she acts as a middle ground I think.

Yes....save a horse ride a cowboy (for the 3rd time) I have seen this one work out really well. Ummm Redneck Woman by Gretchen Wilson........Kick off your boots by Hawg Wild (while I hate that song, it may serve your purpose) You could do the new Boots by Jessica Simpson...kinda country in a way?
