    Default Sexy Blues (Guitar) Music?

    Hello,

I'm looking for really Sexy/Sultry/Sensual/Sensuous Blues (preferably Guitar) Music.

Obviously, I'm looking for blues on the slower side.

Here is a link to the sort of music I'm talking about.
Unfortunately, it doesn't start at the beginning (which has a really hip-swankin' bass/snare drum into Guitar intro...you can just visualize a girl struttin' onto the stage as this song starts out).
    Click on this link:
    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=music...

Then go to the track called:
    • "In One Hand (and Out The Other)" - by Smokin' Joe Kubek

If anybody has any suggestions that fit the aforementioned criteria, please let me know.

If you have a great suggestion, but it doesn't have a guitar or isn't predominantly guitar, post it anyway.
I just happen to like Guitar-driven blues,....but I'm always open to new things.

Blues is kind of my thing; but the only guitar greats I can think of off hand are:

    Buddy Guy
    Jeff Healey
    Eric Claption
    B.B. King
    Robert Johnson

Bad ass blues: (not really guitar)

Leadbelly~ Where did you sleep last night

Etta James~ Sugar on the Floor

    Bonnie Raitt~ Guilty

...Oh hell, don't get me started Too early in morning, more later.

I've just never really dug SRV's music... and I'm a Texas girl! Sorry; but I listed what I liked... not who's infamous. Don't think he was not talented, it's just not my thing.

Oh, can't forget about Jeff Beck!

So sorry I didn't think of him until now

So he's not the greatest singer, nor did he make the best career moves; but he's a damn good blues/guitar player.

Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee, "Walkin' Blues"--one of them is blind and the other is a cripple, and I forget which is which, but by God they can both play the blues.

Listen to that radio show called "The Blues Hour", or whatever, hosted by Dan Akroyd, the surviving Blues Brother. I wrote down some excellent and VERY danceable tracks while listening to that show, but left the list in Florida, dammit!

The soundtrack to From Dusk 'til Dawn kicks ass, especially "After Dark", but in some clubs it has been overplayed, often by me, lol.

Led Zepellin I always liked, but dismissed too readily as being dinosaur rock. But the more I listen to them, the more I like them, which goes for Hendryx as well. But it definitely takes the right dancer to pull this off, and many I have worked with would be very pissed off if I sprang it on them, lol.

    The Black Crowes.

A set that makes me tons of money is:
    Remedy followed by
    She Talks to Angels.

Also this set gets me tips like crazy and it is quite bluesy:
    Outfield-Your love
    Journey-Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'

Also forgot to mention a lot of Bruce Springsteen and John Mellancamp. Like Dance Naked!

More swanky and wicked is all of Tom Waite's Heartattack and Vine Album.

Also I like to dance to Van Morrison's Wild Night followed by Into the Mystic.

I'll see if I can come up with more.

Jeff Healey---Blue Jean Blues (pretty sure that is the title)

Stevie Ray Vaughn---Riviera Paradise, Commit a Crime, Tightrope

    Jimi Hendrix---Red House

Also look up anything by Kenny Wayne Shepard (If you like SRV you'll like Kenny)

I'll agree with the Joe Satriani comments above. Have all of his albums, and he is definately someone who can do it all with a guitar.

    Simply amazing music.
I've heard that a good signiture sets you apart from everyone.

I think PhillyDJ and DJRev are right on with the From Dusk till Dawn sndtrk.

I recommend any female entertainer to rent this movie and/or check out the soundtrack for ideas for dance and some great ballzy music.

The Selma Hayek(sp) feature dance with the albino python was an absolutely religeous event. The soundtrack went right with the outrageous bar.

BTW: Anyone out there looking to name their club should consider 'The Titty Twister'!!

Tito and the Tarantulas have some great stuff that you really should listen to. Their a hispanic heavy rock/blues sound that smells alot like SRV(he also has a great track on the sndtrk).
