This is relatively obscure(though I have no doubt Tre and McCain will have heard of it), but David Lindley, who was really more of a back-up musician for bigger names than his, has a great song called "Your Old Lady(Sure Looks Good to Me)".
But though it is ultimately danceable, it would definitely be considered not-so-modern rock, and if you aren't accustomed to that genre, wouldn't work well.
"Bad Bad Thing" by Chris Isaak
"Criminal" by Fiona Apple
These work well in combination, unless you've got a bunch of hip-hoppers or techno fans in the house.
You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star.

Garbage-Vow
Don't make me spank you!

Listen to 10 minutes of any Country Western station.
Off Spring.....whats that song? She did his best friend, shes drunk again and looking to score.
"no self esteem"??? Or "Low self Esteem"??? Good song.
Yea right PJ,
Your cheating heart will tell on you!!! Oh gosh.
Pamela:[*]'Self Esteem' - The Offspring
From 94's 'Smash'. The band's third album.
"I wrote her off for the tenth time today
And practiced all the things I would say
But she came over
I lost my nerve
I took her back and made her dessert
Now I know I'm being used
That's okay man cause I like the abuse
I know she's playing with me
That's okay cause I've got no self esteem
We make plans to go out at night
I wait till 2 then I turn out the light
All this rejection's got me so low
If she keeps it up I just might tell her so
When she's saying that she wants only me
Then I wonder why she sleeps with my friends
When she's saying that I am like a disease
Then I wonder how much more I can spend
Well I guess I should stick up for myself
But I really think it's better this way
The more you suffer
The more it shows you really care....Right?
Now I'll relate this a little bit
That happens more than I'd like to admit
Late at night she knocks on my door
Drunk again and looking to score
Now I know I should say no
But that's kind of hard when she's ready to go
I may be dumb
But I'm not a dweeb
I'm just a sucker with no self esteem"
---------
Although Scott Weiland's lyrics are always open to interpretation, I'd suggest 'Plush' by Stone Temple Pilots, from the album 'Core'.
...."Where ya going to tomorrow?
Where ya goin' with the mask I found?
And I feel, and I feel
When the dogs begin to smell her
Will she smell alone?
And I feel, so much depends on the weather
So is it raining in your bedroom?....."
"The elastic retreat rings the close of play as the last wave uncovers the newfangled way."

I would have to say the following choices should qualify:
"Special" - Garbage
"You Oughta Know" - Alanis Morissette
(although Tre disagrees with me)
"Woman To Woman" - Concrete Blonde
"Don'T Think Of Me" - Dido
"How Does It Feel" - Ian Moore
"Similar Features" - Melissa Etheridge
"Like The Way I Do" - Melissa Etheridge
"Seven Year Ache" - Roseanne Cash
"Some Fools Never Learn" - Steve Wariner
"You Can Dream Of Me" - Steve Wariner
And, as PJ stated, roughly 1/3 of the country-western songs that have ever been played on the radio. Look no further than any Reba McEntyre greatest hits compilation.
Personally, I was always fond of the classic "Why Don't We Get Drunk And Screw".
McCain
Kinda girly pop, but: So in Love With Two by Michaela
R.Kelly and Ronald Isley: Downlow (remix)
Dru Hill: Touchin You its slow but sexy, off first album I think
Shirley Murdock: As We Lay defintely oldschool, but Kelly Price and somebody did a remix of this is 2001
Kinda funny I just keep thinking of r and b songs. Guess cause a lot of them are about cheatin too so its not just country anymore.
"Come what may although I often say realities come from dreams, but approach all lies with open eyes because NOthing in this world is EVER ALL it seems."

I have played that "Down Low" remix many times, but never realized what the hell he was singing about--always too busy looking for the next song, or whatever--well now I know...
And "Plush" is one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands. Those guys are great.
Prester_John, you cracked me up with that one, if you are always this funny, you'll make a great DJ. It's not that damned hard to do, but you may find--ironically enough--that your obvious intelligence may work against you, if you are not careful.
I will either post some advice on getting started here, or send you a PM soon, right now I have a deadline to meet.

Never explain yourself to anyone, because the person who likes you doesn't need it and the person that dislikes you won't believe it.

Ooooooo Oooooooo .... this song never fail's to send a shiver down my spine;
All Saints - Never Ever
Sexy, Slow and ohhhh the bass line
On the other end of the spectrum .... Sam Kinison doing Wild Thing
If McCain can reach with YOK, I can add this one.
(Plus, I've been waiting for a moment to mention it.):
[*]Boots or Hearts - The Tragically Hip
(Every Canadian knows who they are.)
One of my personal faves, (and that should speak volumes.)
"Well I think that there's a problem here
Her voice just don't sound right
But I left myself on her answering machine said,
"I'm back in town tonight"
I feel I've stepped out of the wilderness
All squint-eyed and confused
But even babies raised by wolves, they know
Exactly when they've been used....."
"The elastic retreat rings the close of play as the last wave uncovers the newfangled way."
Dirty Diana by Michael Jackson
Hit em Up Style by Blu Cantrell
and....Boom I fucked your boyfriend by 20 fingers (although I have never gotten up the courage to play it)
I don't know the name of the guy who sings this song, but I think the song is called "Stutter" It's something about some chick stuttering when she is lying about cheating. Since I mentioned it, and now it's bothering me..Does anyone know the artist and the correct title?
Now I just remebered some lyrics....
"Now I know your lying
Because when your replying
Stutter, stutter, stutter"
Now I just remebered some lyrics....
"Now I know your lying
Because when your replying
Stutter, stutter, stutter"
>> "Now I know your lying
>> Because when your replying
>> Stutter, stutter, stutter"
That would be Stutter by Joe & Mystical
You're right. The name of the song is "Stutter". It's sung by Joe ("Faded Pictures", "Love Scene", "All The Things Your Man Won't Do") Yeah, I'm a fan
