    Default Hot Techno

there is a DJ/group called Hybrid, that has a lot of excellent stuff out.

One CD I have is called "Remix and additional production by...". It is phenomenally good, though some of the tracks are a bit too mellow for SC use, though these are not at all boring, and intriguing to any fans of techno. This CD has an almost orchestral sound at times.

There is a fantastic remix of the Filter song "Take a Picture", which is breathtakingly beautiful.

Track 10 is by Monk & Canatella, is called "Enter the Monk", and is about as fine a high energy dance track as you can get.

Here are two tracks which can be played when you want a bit of a rock sound in your mix.

    "The Fury" by Baby Anne

"Join Me" by Lightforce, which goes out to The Firebird

These two are mixed together flawlessly on the CD called Orlando Breaks 4 (not as good as the outstanding vol.2, or the nearly as good vol.3, but still excellent). "Join Me" has some slower bits with piano, but all in all is still very powerful. Also on this CD is track 19, which is one of those sensuous-female-vocals-with-a-beat type songs:

    "The Dream", by Kyngnova

Also, look for a song called "The Flipside" by Moloko and Aphrodite......another song is absolutely INSANE when qued correctly: Freaky Flow "Jungle Scratching". I Mean Whoa!!!!!!

If you don't use it at the club, keep it as part of your personal stash. Brilliant Jungle.

I think I've got 5 versions downloaded, a wonderboy remix, a porno remix also DJ Caffeine and DJ Rip remixes. Wow, so in addition to the above mentioned two I guess thats 6 versions. I really like the Wonderboy remix.

Yes, I guess I figured. I save these songs for dead nights when we can pretty much do whatever we want and play ANY kind of music we want.

I prefer some music to make me slip away at home, mentally. There's stuff that does a pretty good job of it for strip clubs. (I like to perform in a state of meditative trance). Poo, probably not Freaky Flow . You are right Veronika.

    If you like Aphrodite, check this out--a CD in the Mixmag series, mixed by them--called Aphrodite:The Takeover Bid. it has two especially good tracks;

    "The Bomber Style"--by Aphrodite

    and

"Come to Me", by Eskovah, featuring Karry. I don't know who the hell Karry is, but by God the woman can sing! This is my favorite track on the CD, it combines the usual hopped-up jungle beat with some beautiful, sensuous vocals, hard to do, but they did it here! The part where she sings "I wanna love you down..." is irresistable.

Alright, Velvet, help me out, I told you the name of my favorite Aphrodite track a long time ago, and since I have moved I can't find anything, much less that damned CD! Do you remember what it was? It was a lot slower and more powerful than their usual.

Oh, and check this out! On the Rusty Nails IV CD, Nine Inch Nails and Aphrodite do a collaboration that is excellent, "The Perfect Drug". This is the CD I mentioned with the remixes of that David Bowie song "I'm Afraid of Americans" that everyone jumped on my shit (LOL) for saying was Nine Inch Nails. Well, there are two remixes, by Nine Inch Nails, and both are different, and better, than the original Bowie song.

Jungle is not really my favorite kind of techno, but a lot of it, like this, is very good. More techno tomorrow...

OK, I found it, it is called "Aphromoods", but it is very different from the usual, more frenetic Aphrodite. This one is slower, sexier, and very powerful. I had a dancer offer me 50$ for the CD once, claiming she actually got off from dancing to it, LOL. I'm not sure whether I believe that, but I didn't sell it to her, as I love this song, and value it as one of the more distinctive techno tracks in my collection.

I really love that "fuck on cocaine" song. My best friend uses it at work and she's the only girl around here who has it. Also, the "red pill" matrix song is really cool, I feel in love with it during finals week. You can listen to it over and over and still wanna hear it again.

Fuck on Cocaine, or "Sex on Cocaine" is great, the problem is that its been done by alot of people, there's at least a hundred versions, and its a bit older as music goes. I'm not much into Baby Anne, but Aphrodite is okay. Another Dj to look into is Dj Mystik and Dj Mystic, same name, different people. I also like the ever classic Lords of Acid. Its hard to find good songs because there is sooo many damned different Djs.

Yes, "Interesting" is a good description.
Not sure exactly why it is so popular.
It is not a bad song, but nothing to write home about IMO.

There are a ton of remixes already on the p2ps.

Paul Olkenfole (please correct my spelling if I am wrong) did a remix of the Sarah Mcglaughlin song that I think is called "Breathe". It totally blew my mind! [dazzled] It sent tingles through my body and told me I had to dance to it. If anyone knows if this sounds like the correct title please let me know.........

If you like the Sarah McLaughlin remixes, there is a CD that has about 10 really hot ones on it--it is a bit expensive but worth it! I just got back from a trip so I can't find it yet, but I will look for it and post more about it tonight.

There are also two or three remixes of her songs by Delerium which are really hot, if a bit slower than Oakenfold--I like them even better, though--more on that later as well.

Lords of Acid did do that damned "Pussy" song, which is regrettable. It was funny the first three times I heard it, but has been played to death and beyond, and is understandably offensive to many women.

But Lords of Acid do have some really hot tracks which are very, very different from that, and infinitely more danceable. Not all of them have been overplayed, though several are overdue for retirement. The Farstucker CD is very very hot, and sounds nothing at all like "Pussy".

I have to get ready to teach a class for which I am totally unprepared, so I better get my ass out of here for now...
