I thought it would be cool to make a mix with songs about stripping, but I can't think of many. Does anyone have any ideas?

The only ones I can think of off hand are Lapdance by NERD and (kind of) I just wanna love you by Jay-Z. But if i think of any more I will let you know.![]()

"A Lapdance Is Better When The Stripper Is Crying" - Bloodhound Gang
"Girls Girls Girls" - Motley Crue
"Bed Of Roses" - Bon Jovi (makes mention of strippers)
There's some others I'll try to dig up later. It surprises me how many songs mentioning or about strippers there really are.

"Stripped" by Rammstein (of "Du Hast" fame--a German heavy metal band doing the Depeche Mode song of that name). I don't know what the original sounds like, even though I'm a big Depeche Mode fan--but this version is great, driving beat, excellent lyrics "Let me see you stripped..." etc., and this heavy sounding German accented guy singing, perfect for exotic dancing. It's from a tribute CD to Depeche Mode called "various artists for the MASSES" put out by 1500 Records in cooperation with A&M. It also has a great Rabbit in the Moon "Waiting for the Night" if you like the Rabbit style.
"Stripper" by Lords of Acid, but on this friend's CD I burned they call themselves Farstucker, I forgot the name of the CD but it has 2 more songs I use a lot and are equally good for exotic dance, "Slave to Love", and "Rover Take Over". If you like the sexy women who sing for them you'll love these.
At the risk of repeating myself "The Power is Mine", also by Lords of Acid is also a great song for this, though the lyrics don't describe stripping per se, they directly concern the effect you will have on those guys when you do.

Don't know who sings it, but i thought evry1 had heard it. "I'm a stripper....................................so unzip your zipper...................". It goes on and on, but the beat is duh, duh, dun.........uh, duh, duh, dun............uh. Its sung by some chick, I'll ask the DJ or maybe one of the ones on the board knows what I'm talking about. There is a cd, not the tired cd strip club joints...i hate that cd, but a cd called songs about strippers.
Tabledance by tela is another.
Nastydancer by kilo.
"Come what may although I often say realities come from dreams, but approach all lies with open eyes because NOthing in this world is EVER ALL it seems."

"Sexy Dance", by a guy named RC or a band called RC with a guy named Ruben Cruz---whatever---its on a pretty hot compilation CD produced by Dr. Dre called The Aftermath, but I think there are more volumes now, so look for track 12 on the back and make sure its the right one.
It starts out with this sexy woman saying "Would you like a table dance?" in a very effective way, and then slides right into a very smooth R & B jam that is funky enough for serious R & B fans, but won't piss off the rockers. Tell the DJ to start it only AFTER he finally shuts up (LOL) and with the volume high, or you'll miss the intro. If he's a dick he'll screw it up or won't care, but it's still a hot song.
"Stripper" is that song, Divyne, but watch out, that one will not last through too many repetitions. There was a girl who would ask for it several times a night and I wound up playing it more than I should have (I rarely play the same song twice in a night no matter how good it is) as I was trying to keep her happy, and I started getting a little tired of it. It's still good, though, not like "Show Me Your Pussy", my least favorite Lords of Acid song that I am sick to death of (if I really, really like a girl and she really wants it I still play it, but try to talk them out of it first).

Lapdance by The Jon Spencer Blues Explotion (On theiralbum Acme+)

"Main Street" - Bob Seger
"Baby Likes To Rock It" - The Tractors (I think)
These two are stretches: "No Scrubs" - TLC, and "Pussy Control" - Prince (even if I do hate that song)
On the downer tip, there's always "What Would You Do?" by City High
I'm sure we can come up with some more...

Trance/house
theres that song, "In your eyes" by Luz Divina. Its on the Louie Devito cd. That song is about 6 minutes but gets me going...
Beautiful Child by Madeline...its awesome.
From the aforementioned Gordon Lightfoot:
'Go Go Round'
(2:40) From the album 'The Way I Feel' (1967)
Alone upon the sidewalks of despair
'Twas there she wandered
With her suitcase in her hand
Her fate she pondered
Only a go-go girl in love with someone who didn't care
She met him on a night so rare when her friends were there
And the band was groovin'
When he gave a glance that said how much he would like to meet her
How was she to know at the time
He would mistreat her
In her case she danced for him although a hundred eyes were turned her way
And before the set was through he knew
She would be his loved one
Only a go-go girl in love with someone who didn't care
Only twenty-one, she was a young girl just in from somewhere
He's playin' up in Michigan with a group they call The Intended
With a kiss, and a promise, he was gone
The song was ended
But as she walks, she waits for him the pavement is a shoulder for her tears
But in her heart she knows there is no way
She can hope to change him
Only a go-go girl in love with someone who didn't care
Only twenty-one, she was a young girl just in from somewhere
Only a go-go girl in love with someone who didn't care
A go-go girl in love
"The elastic retreat rings the close of play as the last wave uncovers the newfangled way."
Thanks everyone for all the suggestions.
It seems kind of surprising though that most of the songs are by male artists.

Ummm... ok, it's pop, it's played, but it's a classic...
"Private Dancer" - Tina Turner
McCain
Body Language by Queen
Stripped by Depeche Mode
Skin Tight by Ohio Players
isn't there some Billy Squire? Help me out DJs
and for pros...
Easy Money by Rikki Lee Jones
Roxanne by the Police
TINA TURNER...GOOD ONE, McCAIN!!!
For a little bit of fun:
'Glass Sandwich' - Primus (From 'Tales from the Punchbowl')
He stood in line with the rest
and waited for his chance
To take his place behind the glass
and watch the ladies dance
It's the nature of things
He stepped into the darkened space
The air was thick and warm
He drops the coins in one by one
The scene unfolds before him
He stands looking eye to thigh
as she looks down from above
Only to be recognized
as his former love
It's the nature of things

Also, 'Let me Entertain you' - Shakespeare's Sister
"The elastic retreat rings the close of play as the last wave uncovers the newfangled way."
Merely Lurking...You are correct. That is why I said "for the pros" short for prostitute! You know your lyrics! TaTa LZ
I guess it won't help you girls too much, but there is a cool one I sometimes use called "Male stripper" by Man2Man / Man Parrish. Kind of an underground classic. The Rammstien version of "Stripped "IS excellent. Depeche Mode have a song called "Master and servant" which is great for S&M themed shows. Remix is ace too.

You couldn't dance to it but The Heart of This Thing by Garrison Star...
I saw you dance and everything changed
everything changed
At the heart of this thing I had such good intentions
you never mentioned that you wouldn't last the day
at the heart of this thing
i'm no good at pretending
i couldn't help resenting what i would never hear you say
out of my mind
and i'm on some kind of chae
while you decide just to lock yourself away
but your sure to shine and you know i can dream
you know i can dream

Another one that is a bit of a stretch -
"Dance Without Sleeping" - Melissa Etheridge

What CD is that on, McCain?

Since I'm here:

"Anastasia Says" by Darling Violetta:
"Anastasia says she's dying to get out
Been doing this for so long
Stop this going down
I would if I could
I would if I could
But the money's too good
The money's too good
Daddy buys her jewelry
She's got a new tv
She dates rock stars and actors
Dreams of being on the big screen
I would if I could
I would if I could
But the money's too good
The money's too good
Dance in white stilettos
She needs to make the rent tonight
Johnny wants her after hours
For only a little while
I would if I could
I would if I could
But the money's too good
The money's too good
Anastasia says she's dying to get out
Been doing this for too long
Stop this going down"
I think that says a mouthful about this job...
McCain
I just thought of this one. Motley Crue's "Hell on high Heels" I use to use that. Great song.
There is no better buzz then busting a nut.......
The Curve is more powerful then the sword .. Mae West
Mother Love Bone's Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns. There's a line that says "Chloe dances at the tables in the French Quarter."
