Default How long do your regular customers last?

I was just wondering, how long do your regular customers usually last? What happens to them? Did they lose interest? Did you dump them? Did they stop coming in? Did they start visiting a different dancer? I guess I'm just trying to figure out stripclub stuff, and also trying to find out stuff about myself.

My regular customers have always been spotty at best. Most of the people that always dance with me when they are in the bar, come in sporadically. I have had guys that would come in on certain days to see me, or sometimes guys that are there every day that will dance with me at least one a week. Sometimes they lose interest, sometimes I stop talking to them, sometimes they stop coming, sometimes they start dancing with someone else...My point is, I don't think there really is a way of figuring it out or making generalizations. I don't really care why someone doesn't want to dance with me, as long as they don't waste my time and expect me to talk to them anyway.

All of my regulars seem to come in sporadically. They might come in more regularly if I worked the same schedule each week, but I don't. The cool thing is one of my favorite regulars was one of my first customers back when I started in January.

If a customer visits me more than three times, he'll usually continue to visit me on a regular basis. The problem is, I never know when they're going to come in again.

Usually not more than a few months, most don't even last that long. 90% go away for the same reason--They start asking for dates.

It depends on how often they came in the first place. I had a regular for a year, but he only came in twice a month....and he only spent about 60 bucks each time. Very big money customers last only a month or so. Guys who spend about 100 a week last a couple of months....I got a lot of those from my ex husband-he'd point his army buddies in my direction...most of them were really nice.

I got lucky..I had a regular who had been coming to see me for more than a year.. twice a week.. and spending
600-800 dollars one night and about 200-300 the other night. After a while they start to get on my nerves and so did he. He kinda sensed it and stopped coming for a while. I wasn't sure if he was ever going to come back and just a few weeks ago I saw him again!I only see him maybe once every week or two now but I think if I give him some time he'll be back the way he used to be. You never realize how good you had it till they're gone!!!

I agree, it seems that the regulars that last the longest come only once per month. If I had to pick between a regular that came every other day and once that comes once a month, I would pick the once a month regular, that way I could form a better relationship with them.

I had a fabulous weekly regular for months who spent 300 every time, like a moron I decided to take time off. Then he dissapeared.

Now I have another very good regular who stops in 2x a month, not the biggest spender though, but good. We'll see how long this lasts........

Best part of people who become my regular guys: they understand its just entertainment! and never anything more than enjoying each others company & dances. Amazing!!

I never have regulars for more than a few months. Most of them get too demanding of my time, gradually require more and more time for same money or same time for less money, and hound for dates. I usually dump them when I get tired of dealing with them - there's always another. Most also get too clingy / emotional. I swear, any man who thinks women are more ruled by emotion is fooling himself! It's definitely the men, they get all lovie/sappy/mushy/hurt/offended/whatever and harbour it far more than any women I've known.

It’s not surprising that some of you ladies jettison Regulars after a relatively short while. While my bartending and your dancing is obviously the different, the "regular mentality" is the same for both jobs. Regulars think that the money they spend on you eventually entitles them to get more than the job itself offers or allows.

I have a very good crowd of regular customers at my bar. Most of them are merely appreciative with the extra effort I give to take care of them, and tip accordingly (which keeps me thriving - they are my bread and butter). However, a few of the crowd take taken the attitude that since they have tipped me a lot over the weeks and months they are entitled to get more. One guy insists that I give him every third drink he gets free (which, if I get caught doing that, will get me fired). Another guy drinks all different kinds of types of drinks during his stay at the bar. I generally buy him one of the lower end drinks, like a glass of wine, rather than the single malt scotch the he likes to have after his meal. He at some point has decided that what I buy him isn’t good enough. He wants the more expensive drinks bought for him (which, if done on a regular basis, would get me in trouble). There are a few others who think that they should get multiple drinks bought for them on every visit.

What these people, Regulars at Bars or SCs, don’t see that at some point the money you spend on us can become irrelevant. We are very appreciative of your generosity, because we live on your tips and tips alone. However, we are also human beings, and work under strictures enacted as a condition of our employment. You demand more of us than you should; we forget the money you would have given us, because it no longer becomes part of the equation. Additionally, the reality is that although we are thankful for YOUR tips, you aren’t the ONLY one tipping us.

As a regular, you are entitled to our deepest appreciation for your generosity. You take that and demand more, you effectively destroy all sense of our appreciation.

I've noticed that the girls who have really long term regulars are the girls who have really good boundaries.

Oh, I have great boundaries, and have managed to keep a select few regulars since I started at my club a year ago, which is way out of the norm for me, but these guys truly do appreciate what I do and truly understand that I'm not available outside, in fact aren't interested in that. The rest always want more, always want to get me outside the club, and I get tired of that - or they see they're not getting anywhere and move on. And of course there are a few I just get bored of, but then in that case there wasn't that much chemisty to begin with, just something that was fun for a brief time. In my case, most of the time the fact that I have boundaries and stick to them is a hindrance to keeping regulars.

Always want something more, I dunno.

I believe there's always some level of emotional attachment between a regular and a dancer. And as long as it stays at the level at which it is, i.e. regularity, it's OK . Regularity in itself, is an attachment as well as a commitment.

Over time, a regular goes through a sea of ups and downs in his life, whereupon a dancer seems closer and more supportive. And, with the regular there is sometimes a desire is there to attach. A dancer can often correct those attitudes, without breaking it off, just by gently getting him to realize that that's not what he wants and why. If you want to go the extra mile.

All of the dancers I've been regular with, go through much higher and lower points than I do and a regular can be a supportive source. Best he does not get really involved, though! No matter how heart-wrenching the stories are. And they are.

When I say regular, I'm talking at least six months and at least once every two weeks. Less than that, is just play-time. The previous two of mine were over four years and the other about two.

The current one, six months and will go on a lot longer. It's casual and sweet and OK. She has my number, I have hers and she only uses it right now to alert me as to whether she can come or not or call on a birthday.
I will do the same. As long as neither of us flinch, it's OK.

With the latest one, it's somewhat more controlled. It's an hourly rate (my choice). So each of us know what is expected. I think she likes the arrangement.

Did I just say anything of use...lol?
??? Maybe, I'm not the usual regular. (But that would mean I'm an irregular regular).

Ramble, ramble. It's late...gotta go. [bye]

It's been strange for me when it comes to regulars. I mean I've had some that have come and gone, but surprisingly enough, I've had a LOT that have stayed with me since the time I've started dancing (5 years) through a club change and everything. Some even come in every week from out of town. No, I don't provide extras, and I don't date.. so I can't quite explain it. Even the girls I work with have noticed as I always get comments such as "well you always have a lot of regulars". I often have them asking me how I do it, and to be honest, I don't know.

I was a regular to a girl when I lived in Vegas, I would stop in and see her probably twice a month. This went on for a year until I moved out of state. I do stay in touch via e-mail and when I go to Vegas I always look her up, that has been three years now.

Over the course of 7 years mostly at one club :

My longest highroller lasted 6 years and I still send hello emails from time to time when he crosses my mind and I'm retired. I hardly ever did dances for him- he liked to chat and have 2-4 drinks. He paid me 100-300 for my time, depending on how much cash he had on him. He was too smart for the 10% atm He came in like clockwork Wed nights and sometimes on Sun. after golf. He was the only one of them that I let get to know the real me in full color detail. I could have been happy dating him if I didn't need monogomy- he was a corporate playboy

I had another regular who spent some nice cash for about 6 months then I had to let him go because he fell in love with me. He was a nice person and I did care for the guy, but for one I was dating (my now husband) at the time and the customer just wasn't my type romanticly. He'd pop up every few month's to see if my situation had changed untill I quit that club. Each time he spent less and less- which I understood. I still sat with him for half an hour or so because he was sweet and smart.

I had another pretty big spender for about 3 months a year for 3 years. He was a retired snowbird who liked my stage shows. He'd tip me a Ben each rotation he was in the club.

Another retired gentleman who came in very late - I think he had insomnia actually. He's was so cool ! He'd tell me stories about his life. Jerry was the best dirty old gentleman

Then I had Mark- who was rumored to have millions and he did tip practiculy everyone who said hello to him. But he only let a dancer stay if he really liked her and then he tiped a 20 every few songs. He had about 2 other dancers he favored over about 4 years, me included. He liked to sit and have a full course dinner. He was interesting and I had some intelligent conversations with him but got a little off after a few glasses of wine. I think he takes some sort of stress meds regularly which re-act bad to alcohol. He'd get a little funny but if he's used to you it's managable.

I saw people take advantage of him- waitress and dancers used to skeem to pad his bill. Stuff like order a bottle of Dom while he was in the bathroom :o and so I felt a little protective of him after that so I'd tip extra to my floorguys to keep certian greedy people busy while he was in the club

As a customer i think the idea of being a "regular" is a bad one. It's a sure way to find out how she REALLY feels about you,LOL...and i thought i was being such a good boy...*pout*
Another problem i have is i want to be a regular to this certain girl but all she does is tease....."i'll be right back".."i'll come and find you","i'm on stage soon" ...bah,forgetaboutit....

TB you could lead me on any time. You are gorgeous. It would fatten your bank account plus we could pretend that its real. I like that. Miss D almost has a downpayment for a house.

What about a cell phone just for customers? You could give out the number and make them feel real special and you could let them know when you were at the club...
