Hmm...making deals for dances...should be done sparingly and with some thought behind it. Otherwise, it just ends up costing you time and money. Plus I've often found that the guys looking for really cheap deals are usually the worst when it comes to trying to get "extras" on their dances as well!

The place I'm working at now takes a percentage of your money, so there's no way I'd even really be able to cut any cheapie deals, even if I wanted to. But there are ways to sell more consecutive dances without really being cheap, not using the 2 for 1 ploy.

The club I'm at now lets the girls sell blocks of time in the VIP area. So if you mention something to a guy who has bought a few dances or even a regular that its "half an hour of dances for $200" in the VIP area kind of deal, thats a deal I could live with. A free song should only be given to a good regular or to someone who has already spent alot of money.

Nowadays, there is only one situation in which I would do a 2 for 1 deal...that is if i'm dancing for a regular or someone who has already spent alot of money, and our dances are interrupted by a stage call. At that point I apologize to the guy, and tell him that when I come back from stage, the next dance they get from me will be a ONE 2 for 1 set for the inconvenience of having to wait. Does this work? It sure does, and the guy always looks very happy and eager for me to return!

And I've often found that for the really really good looking girls, most of the customers are willing to pay full price!

Here's what I don't get -- If you are making, on average, $100 an hour moving around the club asking each customer if he/she wants a dance, why not make a non-VIP Room time deal. Let's say $150 for an hour.

When my husband and I go to OG we aren't going to go to the VIP room:

- at OG the floor gives just enough pleasure . I don't want him getting any more than that.
- We like the energy of the main room
- We're just not back room people.
- There are two of us
- Etc.

We would, on the other hand, like to just relax and not be thinking about "how many dances is that?"

I guess I see $150 an hour on the floor as a win-win. The customer gets a few more dances for the money. The dancer gets more money. Everyone is a little more relaxed. The customer gets to not think about money for an hour. The dancer doesn’t have to worry about it either.

If I were dancing, I would be happy to trade a few dances for not having to hustle for an hour. As it stands, the only time deals seem to be the VIP room at something ridiculous ($500 per hour, + doorman tip, + drinks, +++++).

Anyone care to explain where I am going wrong here?

I know this thread is terribly old, but I just found it and I thought I would try to refresh it a little. I think in certain curmcanstances it's ok to cut prices or to give a free dance every now and then. Ie, "you buy 4 dances and the 5th one's free, and every 5th one is free after that too..." Our dances here are $30 a song, so if I do 4 and one free I still get 4120 for my time, and guys usually end up tipping me because they think they got a better deal. And no matter what I would rather compete with a girl who is cutting prices than giving blow jobs/hand jobs, ect; anyday! I also give out a pic of me to guys who buy a certain # of dances per night too. I also gives them something extra to keep and that was they might come back for more later. I have 36 pics to choose from to give away. It's kinda like collecting baseball cards. Every time they come in they get a free dance(after 4 or more) and a different pic. I tell them to collect them all! LOL I'm such a cheese head, but hey it has been working lately. So in the end if a guy want sall 36 pics, I will by the album to go with it and give it to them free!

Say for example a guy does want the whole set, that's 4 dances for a pic and a freebie = $120. Minus, the $30 for the free dance, and the $0.40 for the pic. I would have made, $149.60, But instead I have made $119.60. And maybe a future regular. But he might not have gotten so many dances if he would not have felt like he was the one who won out at the end of the night. You guys can understand this right? God I hope so.....

I never haggle for the price of dances. I always pay full price and tip no matter if I'm the only guy in the place. I want to be remembered. The next time I go in when it's busy I get all the attention I want from my favorites!

I, too, will not haggle for a dance. I have on many occasions, however, gotten a dance when offered a deal by the dancer whereas I would not have gotten one. Naturally, it's all a matter of the environment and economics. If the bar is filled with patrons willing to spend full price, then offering deals would be nuts. If, however, you have a night where people are being frugal, then you are likely to make more by knocking off 5 bucks, than wandering the floor for 15 -20 looking for the guy who is willing to pay the additional 5.

As for other dancers not liking it? BIDNESS IZ BIDNESS

The only deal I make is the one that requires the guy to give me MY MONEY!!!! Half priced dances? Are you people crazy? If they are drunk enough I tell them the dances are 20 instead of 15 so I get outta paying the house.

I will never, ever offer a discount to anyone who asks for one... ever. But if it's a regular, I will offer a deal, and sometimes I will offer deals after two dances just to keep them going. Usually the guys I offer deals to tip me the difference plus extra for being so "nice", so actually I wind up making more money than normal by offering deals. I don't think deals are as much of a problem between girls as "extras" because we have a WHOLE lot of that going on. Most girls just get mad if girls are giving BJs for the price of a dance (it happens).
