Has anyone else noticed that the clubs are emptier now. I made $30 yesterday!![]()
Is it because of the whole taxes are due thing? When will business pick up? People have told me that summer gets better.

April 15th, we ran 52 customer's through the door, my wife grossed 280; 120 from lap's/ 160 stage. It was the best tuesday we have had in 3 month's. Ministry was in concert in town that night too. Go figure, although Wednesday sucked but she still did 90 gross, we had like 40 through the door. I hope the weekend fare's well.
Anklefrog-
What city do you dance in? I'm in Vegas and we have those $30 nights too. And seems like more and more of them. It's been hit or miss, mostly miss. April is a slow month here. I think it's a combination of alot of factors right now, hopefully things will pick up, I won't dance much longer if they don't.
Our club has been dead for the past couple of weeks. Dead Dead. Today I made no money. I ana't do this if it continues either. To top it off we have, like, 20 new girls. The dancers have consistenly outnumbered the customers for the past couple of weeks. April 15? I don't know.
I dance in LA, but I know what you guys mean - lots of new girls. Yesterday we had about 12 girls on the day shift and 2 customers between 11-2pm (after that I cut out and went home). A lot of customers will come in, and leave when they realize they are the only guy there. They feel weird and 6 girls will pounce on them - shit, I can't blame them!
I hope things improve soon!

Things were pretty decent in Reno until just before tax time, then *boom*: $180 April 15 and $40 last night. I've always been told that April was bad here; I moved to Reno only a year ago so I'm going to believe it'll get better.
Last week of April last year (my first in Reno) was pretty good: spring ski season with a lot of skiers and snowboarders from Tahoe. I'm crossing my fingers since two major storms have just dumped snow on the Sierras...

Not here, it has been a little slower than usual for the most part, or maybe it's because i am not dancing as much as i "should'.
But the tax deadline did not seem to bother business.

I have to commend all of these posts I see here. I was beginning to feel afterreading all of the posts on this site about girls always making $500+ a night and that they wouldn't take their clothes off for $200 that I was the only one being real.
The business is going down . Read Collettes article on the General Board about 3 San antonio clubs forced to close.
I made $140 on the 15th and $215 the day after + club pay of about $40 a shift.
I have $100 day each week and mixed in with $300-$400 days.
It just depends on who comes in the club. There are WAAAY too many dancers in the big city clubs nowadays and guys are not as interested in throwing $20's at girls who won't date or fuck them.
This business is on a downward spiral and again I really appreciate all you guys who are honest about your earnings. NO ONE makes $400-$500+ EVERY night anymore.
My friends in texas say it is slow with tooooo many girls and when I worked in LA last summer, I too worked in a juice bar where we had 4 customers and 24 girls.
Summer is not neccesarily better as guys go on vacation with their families and the clubs get slow. It just depends on where you work.

Crazy Bob those figures you gave are real and that is my experience dancing plus I work in smaller clubs now and your wifes figures are about on par or even higher than the big city clubs today.
Wheeew! Finally some figures that are real!!!
I have not had a night under $400 for months. Honestly. I feel awful for the girls who work in an area where the business has been affected, but our club is certainly doing fine. (topless bar, no extras or touching) I put a post for the club if girls want to come make money here.

After dancing for years, I can tell you from experience (and records kept of my earnings) that the week taxes are due is one of the slowest weeks for strip clubs. Most clubs are lucky to even see a customer on April 15th.
I usually take the middle two weeks of April off, and go on vacation every year (as tax week and easter are historically the slowest weeks of the year for me). This year, for some silly reason a friend of mine pep talked me into working the week taxes were due, and once again, my experience proved correct...no $$$ to be made during tax week. If I were actually travelling to a club to work this week I'd be LOSING money! And this year, with taxes AND easter hitting on the same week, things will only be worse.
LOL too bad all of us girls couldn't unite and take the whole month of April off.
Thank god I had relatives unexpectedly show up on my doorstep today, giving me a good excuse to not go to work the rest of the week!![]()
Well, things have gotten a little bit better. When I have a few days where I make crap money, my self esteem goes a little down the drain. I know it sounds bad, but it's true. If I have a few good days in a row, I feel a lot better about myself. How horrible is that, that my mood is affected by how much money i make? I'm not greedy, just trying to pay my bills and live normally.

Totally understandable Anklefrog....when I have those bad days of anywhere from $0 to $30 or so. It's very hard mentally to deal with. Because you know you are capable of making more and it gets discouraging. I try to remember on those days, it's not me. Somedays, too many lately, the crowd is just not spending, or maybe there is a lack of a crowd.....My boyfriend is always giving me pep talks since the economy has gotten so bad. I get down on myself when I shouldn't.
It doesn't mean you're greedy, lately just paying the basics, car, rent etc can be a struggle. It's just the state of the economy right now. And getting another job almost seems worthless since most decent paying ones aren't hiring, if anything thay are downsizing.
We need to hang in there, if it doesn't change....think long and hard and move on.
When attractive women are willing to take their clothes off and entertain can't make a decent living at it, you know there is something wrong with this country.
honestly you can believe what you like, my worst night so far this year was 250. i HAVE to make at least 3 a night as i only work out of town for about 9 days a month. i travel 500 miles round trip. it is worth it though. we have people in the door no matter what. now if i was working during the week maybe i would make less. although my best friend does work during the week and does fine. however she did have a 150 night last week.

It all depends on where you are and what kind of customers your club typically gets. Luckily, the ups here seems to make up for a period here and there of downs <crosses fingers for the upcoming year>.

About the april fifteenth thing... I haven't made good money since the begining of the year, but the first two weeks of april were horrible, averaging ten dollars an hour. This week was much better, averaging forty nine dollars an hour. I really think it would be neat if we could pool our group knowledge to know which weeks were good/bad in what parts of the country...
About the income thing... I think most girls, most of the time, can make 1-200 a night without travelling. I don't think very many girls are averaging more then three or four hundred a night. But I think we've all worked with, or been, the girl who always banked. I know at my current club, I usually average two to four, but there are a couple girls that have been there forever that seem to be willing to *ahem* go the extra mile in the champagne room, that consistantly average seven to nine hundred a night.

Thanks for making me feel better everyone. Things have been going great for me the past few days I've worked. I think I'm super-stressed cause I'm going on vaca next week and when I'm gone rent's due. I'm going on a 4-day Baja Mexico cruise (all alone!!!!) and can't wait. You know how it goes though - you want spending money to have fun, but still worry about the bills that don't stop just cause your're outta town. Well, I hope things get better for everyone and we can all make a ton of $$. Have other's heard that Summer time is a season of lot's of money? Does it depend on the aprt of the country?

From my experience, there haven't been fewer customers, but they have been spending less, which is frustrating. But this was only last week.
I was doing pretty badly in January and Feb ($100-200/night). Then it really picked up in March and the beginning of April ($400+/night). Last week was awful. Luckily I got a guy to do an all-night-in-the-champagne-court on Saturday night to make up for all the previous bad nights during the week. Most of the time I end up making money off the several guys buying 5 or fewer dances rather than one big spender that makes my night, so I am more focused on the number of customers, usually.

The girls at the club I frequent... all say April is traditionally the slowest month of the year.

I read on a (since long-dead) SC review site that no matter what time of year, no matter what time of the month, there is going to be a slow period (or at least an excuse to think of it as a slow period).
It's always slow at the beginning/end of the month, cuz that's usually when the rent is due. And it's always slow in the middle of the month, cuz that's usually when the car and utility bills are due. If it's January-April, it's because you have to prepare to pay your taxes. If it's May-September, it's because you paid your taxes. If it's October-December, it's because of the holidays.
You get my point...no matter what, there's going to be *some* reason people aren't spending.

I really dont get upset anymore if I have a bad night. IT HAPPENS! Then you turn around and have a kick ass night, and it evens out. That is the biz.
I used to get upset when the club was empty, and I started witht he excuses....but it would ALWAYS be something.
Jan. is after christmas and people are recovering. Feb. is Valentines and people are saving. March/April is tax season people are broke. Summer is slow cus everyone is out doing other things enjoying the weather. August is back to school....people are broke after buying their kids school clothes, etc. Then it becomes winter and it is TOO freakin cold. Nov. is Thanksgiving and people are w/ families...Finally comes Dec. and again we have a "guilty holiday" people are w/ families, and they are broke.
Forget all that!! All is takes in ONE guy to make your night...im sure we all know that by now. One guy can fork out hundreds...Ive just learned to stay positive, and take the good w/ the bad!!
