"if so, why are there only about ~800 (give or take a hundred) registered dancers on this site. That means, only 1% of dancers are on this site. Whatcha think?"

That's probably about right. Just because someone is online doesn't mean they search for work related websites.

Other sites like flirt, forplay, and such would probably be more accurate, since so many of us have bought stuff there. I was a dancer for 5 years before I ever heard of this site, but I had already been shopping at the online clothes places. If they (the stores) keep stats on customers, it would be a better estimate of how many strippers are online.

Just cause they arent signed up here doesnt mean they arent online. I just discovered this site within this year, and been dancing ten. I have had a computer since 1991.
I used to work for computerland world and learned everything many moons ago back in the good ol "DOS" days. So making guesses at this I would say is impossible to gage.

I would say a LOT of dancers are on line. I live in an area that has about 80% of all households with computer and internet access. So email is a great way to keep track of customers. However I do travel to other areas where internet is not quite as common. I get comments from customers like "Oh I don't do computer stuff."

I do give out my cell number, sometimes. I have never had a customer abuse this privledge, but I am vey picky about who I give my number to. I do call customers on the phone when I am having a slow night. Nothing more flattering than hearing from a sexy girl on an othewise dull evening. Usually the customer will manage to come in to the club that same week if not the same night I have called.

I give out my hotmail address to dancers I like, and that often changes the relationship.... One asked me to comment on her term paper. She sent the MS Word file and I marked it up. She got an A and we connected on a different level.... Another was afraid of being alone in a storm, so I kept my IM box open in the corner of my screen while I worked.... People often reveal themselves on the Internet more completely than they do in person.

E-Mail is a good way to make sure somebody is working before driving to the club. Seems to work better to ask for e-mail address when you first meet her esp. if she checks it every day.

I think email's work the best, they are convinient ( you deal with them on your time ), they are anonomous [evil] I answer some of my wife's email's. They did save her a lot of regular's though. She was out for 6 month's with a " bad knee " [halo] ( he'll be 2 this june : Ignaytious, we call him Iggy ) all the time corrosponding with her customer's to keep them informed on when she will return. She came to work at a different club when she came back and they all followed. The phone on the other hand I feel is an intrusion on your privacy, it give's them access to you any time. For a single girl with interest's outside the club IE; private party's , phone sex, webcam.... I think the internet is still a better option. As for pic's, she post's them on my website so she send's them there.

This might be more common than most customers think. I'm always wary when emailing a dancer with a live in significant other. I've heard stories of ex-boyfriends of dancers who have complete access to their emails because they know her password.

Hey don't get me wrong when I say that. We sit and read them together and I either answer them or assist her in answering them. It's something we do together, not that I do it out of spite behind her back. As I have said B4 I own the club we work at and I sit all night long and watch her grinding all night in lapdance's ....... jealousy is not part of my vocabulary.

I have about a dozen or so of the hotmail or yahoo type addresses from local dancers. The number is growing of late because I started my own business selling clothes to dancers (no website yet, doing it all locally; so no, I'm not pushing my busines.) I gave out my email address with catalogues, so its a mutual thing.

For the sake of the dancer, I'd say email is much better than phone. You can always delete an email and say you didn't get it if asked. And with hotmail, yahoo or other "free addresses" you can always claim it was broken.

My club has a message board. I arrange my playdates through the private messaging system. Since I have to drive 2.5 hours to get to the club, I won't go unless I can confirm my regular dancer will be there and is expecting me.

Hey Fish, it's Brad Pitt from the other board, I had no idea it was a 2.5 hour commute to the club. Is that one way or round trip? This would probably mean you live closer to that big west coast city notorious for its liberal laps. I'm curious why you would choose a much more conservative club, in a much more conservative city, that's farther away. I mean, the dancer quality is similar, aren't they.

    Hey Brad:

That's round trip. And you are right. I am much closer to the city. GCC is definitely light contact. A friend took me up to Sac a couple years ago. It was my first intro to Gentleman's Clubs. Some of the stories I've heard about clubs in the city make me feel like I'd need a body condom just walking in the door to prevent getting any stds. I'm not sure I'd like those clubs. One of these days...maybe we'll plan a road trip. LOL.

Just to put things back on topic. Any dancer that does not have a way for customers to contact her is costing herself $$$. e-mail works for me. One girl gave me her cell phone. I was a good boy. Only called twice to arrange dances at the club. The 2 calls were worth over 4 figures. Iwould recommend to any dancer that she have business cards printed up with the e-mail addy. Give them to any customer that is well behaved and you would want as a regular.

I have an email address with a fake name ( to protect my identity) that I give to customers. It is a great idea because you can flirt and stay in touch with out of town customers. It is a great way to let them know your schedule. Much better than a phone # AND you can also email them photos too! They LOVE that! Just make sure to make the photos revealing and sexy but not nude...whet their appetite, so to speak...

The only contact I have with any of my customers out side of the club is an e-mail. It is simple and easy and no hassle at all. I agree that it is a good idea.

Wow, a thread from 04-24-2003. Ladies, although I agree it’s a better idea to give out your anonymous email address (hotmail, yahoo, etc...) instead of a phone number, I would encourage you to use caution when using it. Only use your anonymous “stripper” email addy for its intended purpose and never put personal information in the email. DO NOT use your “stripper” addy and post to other non stripping related forums unless you dont care what others may find out about you.

The internet can remember your postings on any forum/website for a long time. Things I have posted on the web seem to last about 3-5 years and a few postings using my real addy date back to 1998! I only use my WiseGuy_TX addy for the pink or blue sites.

As you know, if I smell a troll here I do a little research to see if something jumps out as odd and post it for your consideration. …just being me I guess. When your “stripper” addy is handed out, your customer may do his own research to see what he can find out about you. You gals can do the same research on your customers. To find out what info may be out on the net, enter each of these in the search engines below.

    • Anonymous “stripper” email address: [email protected]
    • Real email addy: [email protected]
    • Your phone number in quotes: “333-456-6789”
    • Real name in quotes plus your city and add the plus sign: +“Jane Doe” +Dallas
    • Stripper name and your club with the plus signs: +Trixie +Jaguars

Another thing I would add, depending on what you use for an email client or program, is to keep an eye on how your address or identity is displayed when you send messages out. I have, on more than one occasion, found out the real name of a dancer through no action of my own, because the email client or program (such as Microsoft Outlook) will display it alongside the address. For example, I may know the dancer as Bubbles, but when I get a message from her the From line reads:

    From: Susie Realname [mailto:[email protected]]

I always check back and make sure whether or not this was intended, or if she minds that I now know her real name.
