Default Something i have learned about stripping

    Hi all,
When i go to work and have fun (i love to dance) and don't think about all the money i want to make that night, i do very well with the customers.
If i go to work not feeling like i want to dance tonite, and try very hard to make money, i make less.
It shows. My whole structure is off base, and i am not as productive when i try to make the bucks. When i flit around the club laughing, and talking, and not even thinking about money to be made i do very well. I guess somedays i just need to call of work if i don't have it in me to dance at that time.
    Hope that makes sense.

Also, something that I have noticed is that when I feel GOOD about myself I tend to make money on a consistent basis throughout the night. When I have taken the time to style my hair, my nails are nice and neat, I planned what I was going to wear before leaving home and when the makeup is just right I'm all over the club making my presence know and I know everybody wants me. When I know I look good I think the guys pick up on that. Now on the other hand when my nail polish is chipped and I missed my hair appt. again, my dress has a stain, I rushed through my makeup application and I feel like shit because maybe I didn't get enough rest I talk to less guys meaning less $$. Just a little something I learned

    I agree Tori,
It's like going to any other "real" job. You don't go in to work with chipped nails or sweats on. Why would a dancer who depends on her/his looks and talent go looking a wreak?
I have gone to work in a rush, and did not wash my hair, the whole night i felt dirty. And find i was not as productive.. I spent alot of time in the ladies room trying new styles, boy what a wreak for me that night became.
    Thanks for your input.

A dancer I lnow told me how it's all attitude. Even girls who aren't as "hot" do very well if they feel good about themselves. She told me this in a discussion about breast augmentation. Her point was that the customers don't really care about breast size. The reason girls do better after a boob job is simply because they BELIEVE they will. The new boobs give them a better attitude. But it's the attitude not the breasts that translates to success.

mopey I'd agree that a girl's improved attitude with a new set of big boobs definitely helps, but IMHO so do the big boobs!

The #1 thing for me is just to keep moving, even if I’m not in a good mood and I don’t feel particularly good about myself. The reason we do better on days when we feel better is because we are out there workin’ the club. Even on an off night, you make money by staying on your feet. It can be hard to weather the rejection when you already feel down but if you keep hustlin’ sometimes you can work yourself out of a bad mood.

    Hi friends,
This may sound corny, but in my Cosmo mag. It has an article on how to take over, or work a room..in any situation!!! I have read it 4 times in the past 4 days....and Attitude sums it up for me. I may look a little stuck up to dancers who are new and don't know me, but i walk in like i own the club. I mind and know my own business! Lots of smiles, hellos and walking on air really makes a difference. I see lots of girls who hold their heads down and don't say hi to others. How sad! However i am afriad to suggest to them how to work it. Don't want to seem snotty to anyone. That can be a tough call. I wish all newbies would read about attitude..then use it like their bible!
Pamela PS maybe i will drop a couple cosmos in changing rooms with the article open! *hint*

and when u go to work when u need the money u wont make it
customers can see desperation in your face
but sometimes after say 2 hours and i havent made any money i start getting mad and for some reason i make money then..
my girlfriend used to say 'whenever u get pissed off holly u make money' and it's true it start being a bitch and it's like''u, me, we're going for a dance ,lets go' and it works
    go figure
    blessed be

Another thing that definitely makes money is exuding confidence on stage!! I see girls just walk around, staring off into space and barely make any money on stage. When I go on stage I act like I am "all that" and the guys pick up on it. I act like I own the place and the guys love it.

I totally agree with all the previous posts. Attitude is what it is all about in the end. :-)

There are nights where I am getting so pissed off with the customer and lack of money heading my way... that it is amazing how the power of just a $20 tip on stage can be. I've had nights where I've started to go downhill (attitude wise) and then get tipped $20 (or even $10!) on stage and.... ** POOF ** bad mood/attutide be gone.

Getting that first tip and that first private/lap dance is what helps me along even on the slow nights. Oh yeah... I also have my "makes me sociable" drink which is Coke-Cola mixed with Red Cordial.

All that caffine and suger makes me a little hypo hence I *have* to talk with someone to release that energy.

One trick I sometimes use is Ill actually put some money on my stage if its slow so it kind of helps me look like Im making money even if Im not. Chances are some customer may see that and think that he knows he to see what Im about.

You also need to always dance the same whether there is a full or empty stage. Dont zone out or look pissy because it's empty. I know its hard but believe me its worth it to keep a positive attitude.

Another thing I sometimes do is if one of my regs is there, I may give him a few bucks to come up and tip me, sometimes its just takes one to get things going!

The same thing happens to me all the time! If I go to work feeling good about myself, in a happy and confident mood, it shows in my attitude, performances, conversations, etc. My theory? When you exude positive energy, you attract good things to you. Plain and simple. And that affects all areas of your life, not just life in the SC. So keep smiling people!!!!

I definitely do better when I'm in a good mood, when I feel good about myself, when I'm not worn out, etc. If I try to work too much I get exhausted and start slowing down. If I'm feeling bad about myself it shows, no matter how much I try to hide it. If I'm in a bad mood I have less patience and snap at people more. If I haven't had enough sleep I just can't move right, my brain is slower and my reflexes and balance are off. If I'm feeling bad about my environment I get testy and anxious.

Heh, I think I've just answered a question that's been on my mind lately: why have I gotten so picky and intolerant about the clubs I work? Because I know if things aren't cool I won't be at my best and I won't be as profitable as I should be.

Well, I noticed that if I have sex before work, I make more money.

One thing that has helped me too is I no longer drink alcohol other than maybe a glass of wine the entire night. Even if the customer orders me a drink the waitresses know to bring me a virgin version of that. This has really helped me focus and have fun without the alochol running me.

It helps give me a better perspective and a much better performance. That in turn leads to more ld's and more customers buying me off the floor.
