    Default Shoes

    Typical Newb Question:
    What about the shoes?

Do your feet ever get used to them/the pain? How long until your feet are comfortable with these awesome sexy shoes that kill?

I've been wearing my seven inchers around the house and can only work up to 4hrs. before they begin to KILL. Obviously I don't want this happening at the club... so again any veteran advice or tips would be just dreamy thanks!

Do not start out in 7 inch heels. Best to start out in 4 or 5, and work your way up if you want to wear 7 inchers.

My feet are less sore than they are numb. I think standing on the ball of my foot cuts off the circulation in my 3 middle little toes and they stay numb for about 12 hrs after I take them off. I'm hoping it doesn't cause anything perment.
At my club you sit with customers a lot and sitting helps let your feet relax for a bit. We dont have lap dances but at other clubs the girls take the shoes off for the lap dance, again giving your feet a break. So you wont be on your feet the whole 8 hrs, you'll be sore for sure your first week or two, or always I suppose, but the numbness is worse than the soreness for me. If anyone has had the numb little toes let me know if is becomes permanent or if there is a way to fix it.

Girly, now that you've got 'em, just keep practising walking around the house and when you walk, walk tall with a straight posture. Higher heels can kill your posture if you do not walk properly in them so practise doing that.

If you really are not a heel person, ask the club where you work at if you can do stage shows or LDs barefoot. I've seen some girls get away with it and still look graceful. It will it break down the time you're in heels.

But just incase, do purchase lower heels. It really is wiser to start small and work your way up.

hee hee I agree Cinammon... however I'm a shorty... I just love the way my butt, legs and tummy "firm up" instantly with these higher heels. But realistically I think I'll need to humble myself with some 5's. lol.

Seven how tall are you? I'm 5'5 and I think my 6in are just fine. I saw a girl in the club with what looked like 7in..shoot, they could've been as tall as 8in for all I know. Anyway, she couldnt' even pick her feet up! She could only "scoot" across the floor. She looked silly. Watching her walk around like that was my final conclusion as to way really tall heels never appealed to me.

I bought these squishy blue inserts from Dr. Schoell's from the drug store. I place them in my shoes beneath the ball of my feet. They're not big like the usual shoe inserts (which are as large as a whole foot). They sort of look like blue jelly. If you can find this I'd really recommend it.

There is no need for 7,8, inchers unless you are doing a fetish thing. I rarely see girls in 5, 6 inchers fall, but ALWAYS see even graceful girls eat shit in higher heels. Trust me, 1 inch isn't gonna make you bank more!

AND, use shoes with wide or rounded heels as well, then get the skinny heeled shoes. I also recommend having straps, and possibly closed toes as well for more stability..meow!

So long as they don't feel like they're gonna fall off, there shouldn't be a prob. I never really had a problem with shoes hurting my feet too bad, even when I just started. I would really really suggest you wear thigh highs too. Lots of girls (but not me) take their shoes off at my club when they're doing lap dances, they say they get better leverage. It might give you a bit of a break too. If they start to bug you, just plop down next to a customer and strike up a convo so you can rest

settle for the lower heel and just try to lose a few more lbs. :/

Sara, I think I've seen what your talking about and never thought of using them with heels... love that idea! Woot!

The other thing--there are friction pads you can buy to put on the soles of your shoes if they smooth-soled. GOOD IDEA. If your shoes have slick soles, you're much more likely to slip and hurt yourself. If you can't find the pads, try scuffing the soles of your shoes up on rough pavement--anything to give you a bit of traction.

    Default Re:Shoes

When I first started I had one pair of 6 inchers and a pair of 8 inchers given to me by a friend. My 6's broke and so I had to wear the 8's for a long time and let me tell you I had to get used to them so fast, and many a time I "ate shit" at the club wearing them but I can wear anything now. My best advice to a newbie is look for the chunkier style of Pleaser's, they have a wider base making it easier to walk in and harder to fall off of. I wouldn't get closed toed shoes, as far as they go they hurt my toes terribly and they don't give me any extra stablity. Open toes are way more comfortable. When your dancing and your foot slides down the shoe you don't want them hitting the end of a shoe!

Seven inchers are actually the most comfortable for me. I don't like the 6's but starting out it's different.

When I started dancing I went to the store and the clerk helped me a lot. She told me Jante is my best bet, and started me in a pair of clear plastic shoes one size smaller then my normal shoe size ( they stretch with body heat) and gave me inserts called silver lining. The first hour my feet were killing me, but then after dancing a little the shoes stretched to my foot and now are as comfortable as any pair of my normal shoes. Heels was a big change for me since all my other shoes are flat. Maybe ask the sales lady in your area to help you pick some, that way she can sow you what she's got, and adress your specific needs with all the different shoes.

YES YES YES! Pads are a must. They sell them at stripper shoe stores, from the house mom, and even at Walgreens now!

I also like wearing knee high boots, or any boots, will be more stable since your foot and ankle are held securely inside. BTW, I almost always take off my shoes in VIP....maybe that isn't too sanitary?

BTW your avatar is damn hot!
Thanks Seven! That's actually my very own sexy hip. If you look closely, I have my boy's "stuff" all over my side....uh oh...Katrine being bad, hehehehe...... :fucker:

i bought a pair of 7 inch stilletto heels w/ platform at one of the local stores here... because that's the lowest shoes anyone carries in stock out here.... I am wearing a regular pair of 3 inch chunky heeled sandal-type shoes now... waiting for a pair of 4 1/2 inch heels with a smaller platform and wider heel on them to get in this coming week.... NEVER start out on stillettos OR 7 inchers! I about broke my neck because I wanted to look sexy... I'd rather look a little dorky than constantly losing my balance and feeling like I'm going to make an A$$ of myself!

I find 7 inchers to be more comfortable than the 6's. On 7's my foot is at less of an angle because the platform is higher. Feels much better, plus my toes don't qet so squished. The Pleaser brand with the chunky heel is great for a newbie. Heck I've been doing this for years and I STILL feel wobbly in the pointy heel plastic shoes that most girls wear.

Another thing, if you do move onto open toed platforms, I would suggest taking caution to make sure your toes don't slip forward. That can happen by wearing higher heels or shoes made out of material that stretches (e.g. with leather straps). That insole/footpad idea is also good for preventing that. Goodness knows, I only learned that after my third pair of platforms! What a pain in the ass!

i once saw a girl in a cheerleader outfit, dancing, well backfliping, in regular tennis shoes. really it works with the outfit more. just some clubs dont allow that even to compleate a costume.
