I am planning to work next week.
Is christmas eve going to be slow? What about the christmas day?
What about the new year eve?
I need to let the manager know my schedule. Please help me.

Before I started dancing, it seemed like everyone went to strip clubs on new years. So, New Years should be good but I would stay away from X-mas. It could be hit or miss. Does anyone know about how the whole month of Jan. is?
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.

The day after christmas is usually pretty good. New years is good, but I don't like it, lots of kids with no money (depending on the club). January is bad. Everyone is recovering from Christmas and getting ready to pay taxes. It starts to pick up the end of Jan or middle of February.
Of course, all of that is different in different places and clubs.

With Christmas and New Years forming a 4 day weekend this year, I would guess that from Wed. night Christmas Eve on that very few family men will be anywhere near the clubs. The consecutive 4 day holiday weekends will probably also mean that there won't be many travelling businessmen either - if there are, it will probably only be on this coming Monday and Tuesday nights.
I would guess that the weekend after New Years will probably be really good, because by then the husbands will be so sick of being home with family for consecutive days that they'll be looking for an excuse to get out of the house !
In the meantime, as Miss George points out, it doesn't mean that you can't make a lucky connection. Some guys who don't have families do get very lonely and very generous at this time of year. If you happen to be the only really 'hot' dancer in your club who was willing to work the holiday you may be able to take advantage of such a lucky connection. Actually, this seems to be more apt to happen on an early shift too.
I also completely agree with Lena that, in most places, January and even February are usually pretty bad. As she said, on the household expenses side there are leftover Christmas bills, heating bills in the North, re-institution of the Social Security tax in the paychecks of guys who earn more than $86,000 per year, speeches from their boss about cutting expenses after their business closes the books for last year, having to pay quarterly estimated income taxes on January 15th, plus simply catching up at work after the Holiday season etc. Southern states do get some vacation business, but not as much as in Feb or March.
It really won't be until income tax refunds and year end bonuses (if there are any this year - well, they'll be better than nothing) start getting paid in February and March that you'll see club business and earnings levels start to pick up again.
I worked Christmas last year....most people didn't even know we'd be open, even if they were willing to come in. It wasn't that good. Christmas Eve was pretty sucky too.
I would try Friday though. You have to consider this....a lot of guys are "home for the holidays" and will want to get away from the family for a day or maybe hook up with old guy pals and go out. And you know what guys do when they go out!

I've always made really good money whenever I've worked Christmas Eve, Day, or the day after, and New Year's Eve and Day - I always work at least one of these days every year. I guess we get a lot of people in town that are visiting family and just become desperate for a break.
If I had to pick, though, it'd be Christmas Eve and New Year's Day.
Yuck, if I had to stay with my family on x mas I'd be desprate for a break too. So.... wouldn't day's be better than nights since people usually get together for dinner?
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.

Business will be slow from christmas eve to mid january. Actually it usually does not pick up again until march- so hold on to the good money you are making now!!

I would choose Monday and Tuesday. The day after Christmas has been ok for me the last 2 years. Christmas Eve many clubs are closed or if they have a day shift close between 5-7 with some exceptions.
When I worked Christmas Eve day in Houston last we closed at 5. it was very slow and the only money I made was $200 from a regular who came to see me or I would have made nothing. Houston is a family city and the city you are in makes a difference.
It is hit and miss on finding generous men during December. Many guys are tight as hell with their money this month. It is hit or miss on whether the guys who come in on Christmas or the weekend of have money to spend.
I've had good luck with the 22nd and 23rd.
