I took the weekend off of work because I was feeling a bit stressed-lots of cheap/teeny bopper customers, drama with the girls at work, tired of being asked out..etc...etc....
So tonight I decided I was going to have some "me" time-grab a book, some popcorn and relax.
So on the way to the store-I first get a call from the club manager wanting to know why I wasn't there (ummm... I asked for it off two weeks ago...) after getting bitched at for a bit, he finally gets that I'm not coming in.
Then I'm pulled over. No biggie, my headlight just went out and I even had the new bulbs in the car with me-no tickets, just a delay.
Now to the scarey part.
I'm at the checkout with my book and popcorn (btw-Orville came out with a new flavor "Cinnabon"-yummy!!!) and up walks one of my customers. Thankfully I wasn't with anyone-so no one would find it odd me being addressed as "Tia". After exchanging hellos and other niceities-he continues to wait for me to cash out-and even grabs my bags. Hmmm.
So as we exit the store I thank him and go to retrieve my bags to leave- he won't let me have them, insisting that he be a gentleman and walk me to my car. The parking lot was very crowded with everyone trying to be prepared with the storm NY is supposed to be hit with, so while I'm feeling extremely uncomfortable, I wasn't feeling unsafe-yet.
We get to my car and I unlock it with the remote (which unlocks all the doors), he puts bags in the back (hatchback type thing). So again I thank him and wished him a Merry Xmas if I didn't see him in the club first. So I begin to get into my car and he jumps in the passenger side!!!! OMG... now I'm more than uncomfortable. I looked longingly at my cell phone which was on the dash between us-thanks to NYS "hands-free" cell law. I asked him to leave and he insisted I just talk to him for a couple minutes. I finally said "look, I'll talk to you at the club later, or at the police station now-I'm very uncomfortable please leave." After what seemed like an eternity and several more pleadings on his part (everything from talking to him, giving him a kiss, going someplace w/ him etc..) he finally got out of the car. I left shaking.
Looking at it now, I realize I made several mistakes in attempting to be nice. Very stupid on my part. Luckily I made it home to enjoy my popcorn.
Be careful ladies! :o

Where do these guys get their nerve. When someone is nice to me, I don't assume they want me. Tia you are very lucky. I used to go everywhere by myself, nowadays noway! It does suck that sometimes I sit here and do nothing because nobody wants to do anything. Do you have a panic button on your key thing? If so just set it off next time. Take care .
I had forgotten to replace it-this was a blinding reminder. I definitely plan on replacing it-and letting the club know about him too.
