Default I still can't feel my toes!

My feet aren't sore from the shoes, they are numb! I wore 6inch heel, 2 inch platform shoes for 8hrs for 3 days in a row for the first time. My 3 middle toes are completely numb and it has been over 48hrs since I last had the shoes on. Did I do permenent nerve damage. Anyone elses toes numb?

I've had that happen before and the toe feeling eventually came back. Give it a little more time before you really worry. You should get a new pair of shoes with a wider toebed asap or else you do run the risk of permanent damage! No closed toes, either. Something like these: http://www.jante.com/shop/product_in...products_id=39. They have a wider, more square toe bed and the heel is really only 5 1/2 inches. These clear plastic shoes can be blow dryer heated to better fit to your feet and therefore not hit any bad pressure points.

My trouble always came from the narrower shoes... they just pinched me in the wrong place.

Yea I had the same thing happen to me too. I just bought my 6in heels with the 2in platform. I walked around them all day (4hrs) in my house and my middle 2 toes were numb. There was another post about this a while back too.

It happens. The first few days I ever worked, my toes stayed numb for about 10 hours after my shifts. The numbness doesn't happen anymore, but I'm sure I've severed some nerves down there.

Try to give your feet some rest occasionally. After working for about 6 hours, I try and take a break. I'll usually go to the dressing room, take off my shoes, eat a snack, redo my makeup, etc. That way the blood starts recirculating to my feet again.

Hmm would it be such a bad idea to have one of your regulars give you a foot massage?

I've had that happen before. The doc said it was nerve damage and probably temporary and he was right. I think it took three or four days and the feeling started to come back, but it was at least a week before I had it all back.

For me the trouble is the plastic shoes that melt as your feet sweat and slip farther down and then they basically act like a big rubber band.

Pretty typical- don't worry! Do like they said, get a shoe with a bigger toe, and try and free your toes every now and then through the night. They'll toughen up after a while!

Go see a podiatrist. If you are pinching a nerve you may as well be cutting off the circulation as well. Try to find better fitting shoes. Not only can improper footwear deform your feet but they make you host to foot diseases.
