Default Bad end to a year.

Sorry had to get this off my chest. My friends just don't understand it seems.

First i pull my 3000GT out today to take to work, and have no friggin front grill. One running light is smashed (glass around the light) and the other running light that is not smashed is not working. Now my front end is scratched to hell from the people or person who either kicked it and pulled it out or just pulled it out. Ass. I know this happened when i parked my car for shopping, no way at home, fence and too many dogs. Especially my one who lives on my screened porch right by the spot i park my car.

Also work at the hospital is going very bad right now too. What the hell else?

People can be so damn petty. Why ever go after someones car or anything for that matter?

Had to vent, sorry all. No one else cares, say i am soooo over reacting. Yea i can tell them that when i buy my own FUC*ING grill off eBay...

Dang, didn't you realize what happened to your car once you were through shopping?? That was terrible, having your car vandalized that way. It sucks My guess is that you reported it already.

~warm symathy hug~ damm, your right people can be so petty, but don't worry about it, you better than that. just pick yourself up and keep going... I wish I could give you a real hug but a virtual one will have to doo. anyway, keep up the good fight.

I really do feel for ya. Something similar happened to me. I parked my car on the street to later find it with $4500 worth of damage. People drive so fast down my street, and the city refuses to put up speed bumps! Anyway, one month, $4500, (and $900 for a rental) later, I pick it up from the shop to find damage they did, that they won't claim. My stereo has been tampered with, an interior light is busted, and there arre dents on the hood. Ii think it may be time to hire a lawyer. All because some ass didn't have the decency to fess up to a mistake-make that two asses.

Oh my God, Pam. Jealousy is such a bitch. I know this is not the first time they have gone after your car. I would get an alarm installed fast. At least it will capture attention.

Replacement parts for Japanese sports/luxury cars are so expensive that dudes just take the easy pieces off parked cars. I doubt that it was anything personal. Where I live you make personal statements by smashing windshields.... People get stressed out/go nuts during the holiday season. So would I if I took it seriously.

pam that sucks, sorry to hear that...try a salvage yard before e-bay to get a price estimate. at least it wasnt the other car i have a feeling that would have been even more expensive.

Let it out Pamela, better here than going postal at the mall. Remember Fla. still has the chair. For some reason, I feel real sorry for your insurance agent Monday morning.

Damn Pam I'm sorry to hear that! But I agree with SW2 on this one, I think it was more likely some dipshit stealing parts for profit or his own car, not something personal. Heh, I once had the ragtop of a car cut in three places so some worthless punk could steal my stereo! I know it was either some kid or junkie, who only would have gotten maybe $20 or so on the street for that stereo, wasn't anything expensive at all. But the damn ragtop cost me $1500 to replace! Aarrgg!

I know it doesn't help to think it was just some random asshole ripping your stuff off, but at least you could be somewhat assured it was nothing personal.

True story told to me by a Detroit auto dealer: Customer brings his new Buick to the repair shop. The whole front end had been stolen. Somehow the thieves found the time and had the opportunity to take the front end off the car. The dealer takes the car in for repair and starts shopping used car lots, salvage yards, etc. for a front end for this Buick. Bought one. You guessed it---a perfect fit because it was the stolen one. Tracking backwards they caught the crew and they all went to prison. The demand for used parts causes this problem. The insurance companies will not pay for new parts unless you can prove that a reasonable search failed to locate acceptable used parts. You must almost prove that no used parts are available before you can get approval for new parts. This takes a lot of time. So there is a hot market for used parts. Some are stolen on direct order and I bet your grill was selected, IDed and stolen to fill an order.

I'm so sorry, Pamela! 300GT parts are so expensive too. I'm still waiting for a response on the ragtop for my Mazda which was knifed and my stereo and checkbook stolen X-mas Eve. This is the second time and AAA only paid for partial replacement last time. I'm right with you searching on ebay for replacements.

It sucks but better the car than something happening to your person. Still, I don't think you are overreating. Vent away! What a time of year to have that happen!

Pamela I am so sorry to hear this. Who the hell would do this to you? Do you think it was random vandalism or was it personal?

You can always vent here...we care

Sorry Pam. It's not right that someone like you, that is so helpful to other people, has something like this happen. I had two 1988 Trans Am GTA's, during my twenties, that I had spent a lot of money restoring - one was stolen and the other was busted up from someone trying to steal it. You work hard to have something you want (and something nice) and dick heads like that smash it up and steal parts!

Pam, don't you know when and where your car was damaged? Not that that's all that important but it could have been a hit and run or it could have been an attempted parts theft.
Crime hits us all. The way I avoid it is I don't have an expensive car. Cuts down on the vandalism a lot but still someone actually tried to steal it.
I'm sure your lull at the hospital is only temporary. The medical industry is one oif the few that is still booming now. It'll pick up again.

Sorry ladies to hear about property damage it could always be worse. At least yall didn't get hurt by some a$$hole wanting your parts and you find them stealing them. All and all it's just posetions and they can be replace. Thats a lot comeing from me because I'm a car freak and hate to see damage to cars.

Sorry to hear about all this vandleism! It's a shame to have to work so hard to have nice things just to have some creep steal it away. They will get theirs. Glad you all are safe.

I worked my ass off from the time I was 14 untill I had enough at the time I was 16 to buy a brand new car. The second day I had it, I took my best friend to the mall. When we were done shopping I walked to my car only to find a key scratch that went all the way down to the primmer ( paint will not cover this, and rust cannot be prevented and will set in pretty fast). The scratch went all the way from one side of the car to the other. I was told this frequently happens to cars with new plates. Fucking assholes!

Lord help myself if I ever catch someone vandalizing a car. Even if it was an accident people need to learn to take responsibility for the actions. Well I hope things turn around for you this New Year.
