Default need advice on easy bruising

I bruise very easily. Anything that barely touches me leaves a bruise--I bump into a chair and it leaves a bruise. A guy barely grabs my thigh and it leaves finger marks.

I know I don't have health problems that are causing it...I have been tested extensively.

Is it a potassium deficiency? I thought I heard something about eating bananas. I take supplements every day and have a good diet but it still happens.

I wear knee-high boots but that only covers half my legs! Sometimes the bruising looks so bad I think I shouldn't go to work. Makeup doesn't cover it and sometimes the bruises are in places I can't even reach!

Has anyone done anything about this problem that actually works? Any advice would be so appreciated!

My friend had the same thing and her doctor said she had an iron defincieny. He also said she needed to stop drinking and doing drugs cuz it breaks down your immune system, she did and she doesn't bruise anymore.

But in your case I don't know since you said you take vitamins. Only thing I could think of was if you were drinking because that could capillaries to be more sensitive but other than that I'm clueless. Sorry Francesca!

Try using 100% cocoa butter to speed up the healing time. You can buy it at walgreens. I have also noticed that since I started using the UVA tanning bed it helps make bruises less noticeable.
Kobi - what are arnica montana and where can you buy them.

Arnica Montana is a natural supplement for bruising and muscle aches found at health stores.

I'm going to try all those things one at a time and see if something works.

Arnica topically...the pills are hard on the stomach. Just rub it in after your shift and your bruises will never discolor and will heal in 1-2 days. Great stuff. GNC, Whole Foods, and the like should all carry it.

i bruise easily from the rail on our stages. Looks like i have been beated with reeds on my shins. Try some vitamins, and some make up, the kind to hide tats. that may help you out a little bit.

The more I think about it, sounds like you are anemic. Pardon my spelling on that! Iron will take care of that as well. You should have been tested for that. That may be the cause of it.
    Good luck!

I bruse very easily as well.Try wearing boots with padding underneath. Also use theatrical make-up or the type of make-up that they use in funeral homes. It tends to be thicker and covers alot better.Tanning once or twice a week will also cut down on visibility.
