    Default Hair removal and tanning

Deja Vu said they'd hire me! Only problem is...I shave and have these gross, red bumps :o! I tried waxing, but I bruised and underwent a brief, but massive amount of pain. I heard laser hair removal and electrolysis are better and more satisfying alternatives. For those that have had electrolysis or laser hair removal: Are you happy with the results? How much was it? For anyone that shaves: Any advice on getting rid of those nasty bumps, and just making me look better down there?
One more question I also heard about this spray-on tanning that they do in tanning salons...I believe it's called mystic tanning, but I'm not sure. I'm sure some of you ladies are familiar with what I'm talking about. If any of you have had that: Are you happy with the results? How much was it?
    Thanks !!

Do some searching in the body business forum and you'll find the answers to all your questions. We've discussed a lot of this.

I've done the lasering thing, however, you need to pick someone reputable because I've heard of (and seen) girls get burned by a laser in the wrong hands. It leaves ugly rectangular scars. Most lasers (such as Epi-light) work best if you have dark, coarse hair and fair skin, such as myself. I've gone to Completely Bare in NYC and they are great there, although expensive. It hurts, though less than waxing. You can shave right after lasering if you need to work and, though I don't know why, you don't get razor burn after lasering. The hair falls out after 7-10 days (exfoliating helps) but DO NOT wax or pluck the hair between sessions, which need to be about a month apart to work best.
As for fake tanning, I've done Mystic Tan (in New Orleans) and the cost is $25 a session. I was suffocating in the enclosed booth (god knows what those tanning chemicals do to your lungs) since I couldn't hold my breath for the entire time it took to spray me, plus there was still tanning solution mist all over the place after anyway.

yeah, completely bare is really good, i think its 350 a session for the epi light laser hair removal. the girl that did my bikini laser removal told me to stay out of the sun or put sunblock on the bikini area if i went in the sun because the skin that is lasered will get dark pigment if it gets too much sun...so i've stayed out of the sun, but i wonder if mystic (the spray on tan) is still ok?

for red bumps, put diaper rash ointment on right after you get out of the shower and leave it on for 10mins. Gently wipe off and then use a little soap and water to get white reside off. Apply regular lotion on after. Makes skin soft and either prevents or helps you get rid of razor burn.

I have had all my bikini area lasered off except for a teeny little heart up top. It is WONDERFUL! the only thing...you cannot tan (real or mystic) during your treatment period...at least a few months) that sucked. Your sessions must be at least a month apart, and the paler your skin and darker your hair the better. It took only three seeions for me and I am done. I let my skin go pale for abiit and my pubic hair is dark brown anyway,,,so great for me. It only cost 220 per seesion,,,and that's Canadian! No scarring, no burning, no nothing but smooth and hairfree. I wasred the day of treatments,,,and it hurt like a bitch for me (which everyone said is unusual..but I guess I am a baby)
Anyway, I had been waxing and shaving for years and always had those aweful red bumps and ingrown hairs. So I would definitly reccomend it. But do your reserch...get referred to someone by a person you know.

As for Mystic Tan...I like it but find it fades un naturally and blotchy sometimes. However,,I am anal about keeping my skin nice so that's the only way I tan.

for shaving make sure that the area has been soaked in warm water first. i just wash my hair first when i take a shower, but i know someone who only shaves in the bath. also there is a spray deoderant i have seen work really well but i can not remember the name. and use an exfoliator before you shave, a poof or gloves works well.
