Default Do Strippers drink on the job?

As I'm sure you all know, I'm hosting a bachelor party.

Wondering if I am expected to provide drinks for the strippers we have enlisted.

Should I offer them drinks, or is that not allowed.

Personally I would likely drink a bit before I started dancing around in front of people, but I would totally understand if they didn't drink.

I guess I just want to know if I should expect them to have drinks.

    Thanks,

    Tyler.

LOL... does Pinochhio fuck with a wooden dick?!?! Not sure if I'm speaking for everyone, but a lot of the girls (over 21 of cvourse) at my club drink quite a bit. If I were doing a bachelor/private party, I would expect drinks.

    Good one!

I don't drink alcohol on the job, but it's nice to have something purchased for me....

Ok ok, I'm sorry. I thought it might be a stupid question, but I figured I better ask.

I was a little worried that was over-stepping my boundaries. If I went to a restaurant, I think it would be strange to offer my waitress a drink, so I thought that it might not be appropriate. Now that I know that's the standard, I will certainly offer.

I have another question. The show we bought is two ladies, for 1 hour. Is the hour EXACTLY an hour? Or usually only 50 minutes, or might run over? This is another stupid question I know. But I'm totally new to this.

It's your guys fault. If you ladies were in Seattle, I would just pay one of you to do this! This is quite the task organizing this party.

Thanks for answering my drink question all,

    Tyler.

    Hey Tyler,
An hour is usually from the time the girls start performing on. For instance, if you hired the girls to arrive at 10pm, and they mingled for a few minutes, and dressed for the show in a private area of the home, and began dancing at 10:30 the show would typically run until 11:30.

The only exception I can think of is a no clock show (usually more expensive) or if your guests are not tipping very well due to lack of interest. I have been hired for 1 hour and quit dancing after 3-4 songs because the group was looking more for a gag type show and once the shock wears off the gag is over.

I wrote an article about hosting a bachelor party. you can find it on my website at http://parislove.net/partytips.html

I hope you find this info useful, and have a great time at your party!!

    XOXO Paris

Hmm well it is sort of a dumb question. Havent you been to strip clubs before?? Most dancers do drink but there are a few that dont. You need to have some alcohol on hand but also some soda as well. The booze will loosen things up and help create the party atmosphere for those who need it.

FBR, I have never been to a strip club, or attended a bachelor party. Never seen a stripper in action. Other than girlfriends that I talk into that kind of stuff...

Tyler I guess I shouldnt be bustin your chops LOL Ive only hosted one bachelor party and it was at a strip club so I really didnt have to do anything LOL

I went to one a number of years back at a private residence. There was only one stripper and she brought along her gorilla bodyguard. It was still fun in spite of that. Lots of drinking and whooping and hollering. She got naked but nuttin unexpected happened. Good luck. Your buddy should be pleased that your trying to have the best party possible.

I would be a bit offended if I wasn't offered a drink if every one was drinking around me. That's just rude. So yes offer away!

Yes do offer them a drink, more strippers than not drink on the job. Offering them something besides the beers and JD that the boys have would be nice. Some mixed drink options would be a good idea.

Often times the time slot is for an hour, but if your party is tipping well the girls will stay longer. Don't get offended if they don't, they could have other appointments.

Thanks to all for the words of advice. I will certainly arrange some margaritas or something that ladies typically like due to all of your comments. I will try to do you proud FBR. Still a few weeks till the event, so I will be scrambling to get the ducks in a row.

And special thanks to Ms. Paris for the sweet website and giving me the complete 411 last night. You're a peach.

    You ladies all rule seriously.

    Thanks again.

Yes, I would definitely plan on having something to offer your ladies. Most drink; those that don't can always just sip a soda or ice water, but will appreciate the welcoming air of having been offered what everyone else is having. I don't drink myself, but I do enjoy it when men offer and sometimes take them up on it. It's a gracious gesture.

    Hi Tyler,

When I was in the military, I went to a ton of bachelor parties. Many years later when my younger brother got married and I had the honor of being his Best Man, it was my job to pay for and host his bachelor party. Calling upon all my experiences at bachelor parties and being a marketing consultant, I tried to make the best party possible. Here's what I suggest you do to make sure all your guests have a good time at yours. The following is what I did for mine.

    1) Hire more than two strippers. This is what everyone is coming to see. Nothing else. Contact a local stripper talent agency and they'll get all you need. They should be listed under "Entertainers" in your yellow pages. If they don't have enough, they will recruit to fill your order. And talk to them about variety. Remember that what trips your trigger isn't always what trips someone else's. Afterall, this should be an occasion that isn't supposed to happen ever again so make it real special. For my brother's bachelor party, I hired ten strippers, scheduled them to arrive one an hour, and made sure there was a lot of variety. Variety being a few blonds, redhead, brunette, white woman with black hair, Asian, Hispanic, Black, and a big-chested one (who was one of the blonds).

    2) Don't have it at a strip club, your house/apartment, or a hotel room. Rent a "small" conference room (a.k.a. hospitality suite) at a hotel. Again, make it a special night. Everyone will enjoy this a LOT more. Visit all your local hotels and find the best room you can. They really aren't all that expensive. It should have a big seating area and a large coffee table in the middle. Have the hotel remove the coffee table and that will be where your dancers will perform after you move back all the chairs as far as they can be moved. Make sure the room also has a dining table (and move its chairs to the seating area) and a wet bar. Insure that the sound system can play both CDs and tapes as the strippers will bring their own music and their music could be on either. They'll likely bring their own boom boxes, but once they know the suite is equipped, they'll use it for its better surround sound. Get a conference room with a bathroom IN the room as that's where the strippers will want to change before and after their performance. Check the sound proofing of the room. Have a buddy of yours come and check out the rooms with you. Have him go out into the hallway, shut the door, and you scream your head off. Your buddy shouldn't even hear a whisper. BE REAL HONEST WITH THE HOTEL STAFF ABOUT WHY YOU'RE RENTING THE ROOM! Don't worry. Almost all hotels are cool with having bachelor parties and strippers entertaining them. What they're NOT cool with is being surprised by a bachelor party and/or an army of strippers in their hotel. Oh, and make sure the hotel prevents the room's phone from making long-distance calls or a stripper(s) might take liberal advantage of this. For an idea of the type of room I'm talking about, here's where I hosted my brother's bachelor party: http://www.concoursehotel.com/conventions_suites.html

    3) Get one of those mixed drink posters. You know the one that shows all the different types of drinks you can make AND how to make them. If you can find one with a white background, that's best. Bring a permanent black magic marker so people can sign their names/initials next to the drinks they've had. After a few drinks, the signing of names will be greatly appreciated by your then-well-oiled guests so they can "remember" what they've had before. Then look at the poster and be sure to get everything you need to make those drinks. And, again, make the night special by buying all new bottles. Hopefully one of your guests is a good-natured person that knows how to bartend and is willing to do it. If so, ask them ahead of time if they're willing to do this. If not, hire a bartender for the night. I'd recommend a female bartender to keep her mind on her job and not on the bodies of the strippers. Oh, and get bottles of champagne. Guys really don't care for champagne but strippers do. You don't have to get high-end champagne. My rule of thumb is a bottle of medium-price champagne for every stripper at a party. Get bottles that have a lot of gold foil on them. Women love gold foil on champagne bottles.

    4) Get finger food and ONLY finger food. Nothing that need to be cut up or eaten with a spoon or fork. And get LOTS of it and LOTS of paper napkins. Find out what your groom-to-be likes and get that. Place the order for it a couple days in advance. Don't assume the restaurant will be able to fill your order on a moment's notice. Then place it buffet-style on the room's now-chairless dining table. For the party I hosted, I got several buckets of barbeque spare ribs and buffalo wings from the best BBQ restaurant in town. I also got really good summer sausages, a big tray of cheeses, bags upon bags of chips (each bag a different type of chip), and a BIG cake done specially up for the party. Oh, and I also got a big platter of cut vegetables in case the strippers wanted something on the light side.

    5) Go to your bank and get all the money for the strippers in crisp dollar bills. I suggest 50's instead of 100's. Get as many new small white envelopes as you will have strippers. If you go through an agency, the strippers will all be paid the same. Carefully count out each stripper's payment and put them into separate envelopes. Do NOT lick the envelope shut but simply fold in the flap. Now this makes it real easy for you to pay them and they'll appreciate it. You don't have to be seen by your guests counting out the bills each time. All you have to do is reach into your coat's inside breast pocket, pull out an envelope, and hand it to the stripper when she arrives and as you guide her to the room's bathroom. She'll then open it inside the bathroom and count it out there and not in of view of your guests.

    6) Last but not least, get two sprayable cans of whipped cream and a jar of maraschino cherries for each of the strippers. Drain the jars of cherries of their syrup so it is easier for the strippers to get them out. Don't hand a stripper a used can of whipped cream. Only new ones. They will have used them lots of times before and will know how much they can get out of each. They'll also appreciate getting their own cans and not an used one of the stripper before them. Most will empty them completely and on purpose. Believe me, your guests will appreciate the strippers doing this.

Now you're all set. The only other thing I'd recommend is that you set down some rules for your guests and let them know about it ahead of time so they don't think you're raining their fun time when they arrive. The following are the rules I instituted at my brother's bachelor party:

"1) No cameras. No cameras mean no photographic evidence and thus nothing getting back to anyone that wasn't there (a.k.a. the bride).

    2) Bring LOTS of one dollar bills to tip the strippers with. Nothing else is required of you but this ... so bring LOTS! I'd suggest a minimum of a 100 one-dollar bills. The more you bring, more you'll tip, the better the performance the strippers will give, the better time all will have.

    3) You're to hand your car keys to me when you arrive. No exceptions.

    4) Everyone is to be a gentleman to the strippers. If you're not, you're kicked out. Period. Being drunk isn't accepted as an excuse.

    5) Do not wear any pants or shirts that have anything metal or plastic on the front. A light turtle-neck sweater should do. If you need a belt to hold up your pants, move the buckle to the side when you get here."

Last but not least, you -- the host -- don't drink or do drugs. You do and the party will bomb. Sorry, you're the host and it is your job to make sure your guests have a fun time, everything runs smoothly, and the strippers and hotel staff know there's at least one sober man in the room. Enjoy yourself at someone else's party. Make this party an event to be remembered and cherished forever. The only way you can insure that happens is by remaining sober throughout. Not even one glass of champagne. If anyone offers you a drink (or, worse, tries to force you to drink), tell them that you're the host and the hotel has requested that you remain sober so there's at least one sober person they can deal with if they need to.

    ---

As for how my brother's bachelor party went, I've been told by its guests that they had a really good time. It has been many years since then and they still regularly thank me for inviting them to it. As for details...

The first stripper turned out to be the talent agency's owner! She was the redhead. She was in her late thirties or early forties, but she sure knew how to entertain my guests. Great performance to start off the party. Oh, and she was also the first one to just see if this party was for real. No one had ever done this before with them and they thought it was too good to be true. Once she saw it was for real and that I had put each stripper's money into a separate envelope, she called the others on her cellphone in the bathroom and told them to come at their appointed times. She then performed for the group. She was VERY nice. Not just as a dancer but as a person. She appreciated the effort I put into the party and how I tried to make it run as smooth as possible. In fact, she was so impressed that she came back later with a woman that was thinking of becoming a stripper to show her my party since it was so good. They even brought back a bottle of something like "Hot Sex". They were a blast.

And the rest of the strippers then came at the top of each hour. It took about five to ten minutes to switch between strippers, but that was fine and expected. I knew the guys would use that time to get another drink, go to the bathroom, or to snag some food from the buffet line on the dining table.

The strippers seemed to really appreciate the champagne and vegetables. As expected, none of the guys had either of them but the strippers drank and eat them all up. That and spare ribs, buffalo wings, etc. They all had hearty appetites. And without my encouragement and during small talk with them, one of the guests informed one of the strippers that the champagne and vegetables were bought with them in mind. She told the others and they all seemed really pleased by that thoughtfulness.

And all the strippers all seemed to have a great time and most stayed after their set was done. The owner said that never happens. It was great that they wanted to and they were warmly welcomed to stay by all the guys. And as if the night couldn't have been better, the three strippers that stayed until the very end made the tenth set not a solo set but a triple-stripper grand finale at no extra charge.

Definately offer. I don't drink on the job. I like to be in control at all times while I'm with people I don't know. Better safe then sorry.

Pumpkin (I call my GF that, so a little strange),

You ideas and your Brothers party sound extremely good. I can just imagine that was an excellent party.

However, I'm not a millionaire. I don't think I can afford that many girls! I certainly wish I could, but I just can't see that happening.

But thanks big time for your feedback. I took notes on everything and I'll certainly steal some of your ideas if that's legal.

    Thanks again...

It's Pumpkin Pie. With Cool Whip on top, it's my favorite dessert.

So they've said. I didn't enjoy it, but that was because it was a pretty much a job to me and thus I wasn't meant to. I was the host.

It wasn't cheap, but it was unbelieveably expensive either. Call around and get prices. You might be surprised and find out that most, if not all of it you can afford.

You won't be stealing. I freely offered that post. Make use of it as you wish. I'm just glad I could be of help.
