I think it's interesting. I don't know much about it, but had my cards read once by someone that was into it. He didn't know me well, but some of the things he got from it were kind of accurate. I'm not one to totally buy into stuff like that though, but it would be cool to learn more about it.

I've had my tarot read twice..... Even though i am a believer ( in just about everything) i was and still am wary of such things. Anyway both readings which were done 6months apart were spot on and i mean SPOT on! it kinda freaked me out because they were so accurate.

This was last year and i haven't had them read since, i would do it again but its not something that i think should be done too much to the point were it takes over your life OR when ever your down or going through a crisis you feel that you need to consult the cards.

I usually have my cards read professionally every 6 months, sometimes if I have alot of descions to make or am unsure about something I will just happen to come across a tarot reader and I know its time to have them read. I don't take it all to heart but it does help clarify things. I also have my own set, but I find it hard to read for myself at times.

I love having my cards read. I'm very into tarot cards, and astrology, and all kinds of New Age/Pagan stuff. Although I still don't understand much about astrology, it's very confusing. The tarot is much easier to understand.
It's much harder to do a reading for yourself than for other people. When you read for yourself it's hard to give an objective interpretation of the cards. I love it when I come across someone who has a real talent for it. It's great to have your cards done by someone who understands how to read and really enjoys reading the tarot.

I actually just started learning to read tarot. Really right now ive started off with playing cards, as I dont own any Tarot cards at the moment. They have been very accurate and I seem to have a knack for it already. I read my friends cards yesterday, and her reading was soo accurate that it shocked even me. (she didnt tell me what she was thinking about until after the reading) Tarot is very cool...definatly a fun thing to get into.

I've been into the tarot for DECADES ! I'm told that I have an uncanny talent for doing very accurate readings. Of course, I agree completely with Kittie that it's impossible to be truly objective when attempting a reading for yourself.

Very into Tarot, but think of it as a tool, not anything more.

Read about it, and admit i have a pretty closed mind when it comes to reading cards about ones life. Seems to me too much like slot machines, what comes up, comes up at random. And don't mean anything.

Why is it people get different readings with different results? Of readings from many different people, with different answers.

    Dunno.

My aunt is into Tarot cards and all kinds of stuff in that area. She's read me my cards before and I thought it was fun. It hit very close to home I guess you could say. I think the cards are accurate when your 100% sure of what your doing.

I think I agree- I had been reading up on the subject and also doing readings for myself with the help of a book for awhile and this was my first reading for someone else-- and it was interesting the difference in the intuition.

Yay! Glad someone finally created a topic on this.. (I was raised on this stuff.. lol)

I'm a 4th Generation Strega (Italian Witch), not to be confused with New Age/Wicca, etc...

I work with my many decks DAILY. One "Rule of Thumb" that should be followed though, is don't do your own readings. You don't want to influence the cards in any way. You should always have someone else read them for you. I do, however, draw a "Daily" card each morning, just to give a clue as to where the day will lead. I've done this for many years, for myself and others.

I also make tinctures, potions, wands, besoms (brooms), and much more. Like I said, I was raised on this stuff and was taught basically from birth.. lol

I'd love to see more posts and topics on this type of stuff..

for 6 years ive studied and loved astrology, i dont think its that hard to understand at all. i have never read tarot cards but i can do pretty much anything else. i guess it really depends on the type of person.
i practice divination of all kinds, rituals/ ceremonies, candles, herbs and oils. any one else who is into this knows when i say it is a very thought provoking interest, and can help you in your job or life in general. i have found great success with it and like to think it is the cause of my money making.

I used to do Tarot, but I relied on my own psychic feelings instead and have been much better for it. My entire family has this uncanny ability to predict things - mainly death. I predicted meeting my current boyfriend about a month before it happened. I misjudged the place by a few thousand miles, but I knew the direction he was in!

I get readings from an old friend whose clarivoyant ability is at over 80% accuracy, better than several famous clarivoyants. PM me if you want her contact info. I have been honestly bowled over by things she has predicted for me, but it made life easier knowing what was up the road.

I had my cards read about ten years ago and everything was very accurate . I really want to get it done again, I just have to find someone decent in the area.

I was trained by a local High Priestess over 10 years ago. Since my first fiance died; I have not been as into it; but pull it out for my close friends every now and then. I am reluctant to read for myself; but (especially lately) have been needing some clairity and have laid them out..I always write the layout down; so I can come back to it later with a clearer mind and perspective and see if I was accurate.

I just use it as a tool; like astrology. I just had some friends on another board pull me and DH's charts for this week (since he had a very important court case) and they got so specific that we were able to avoid an argument! Both can be important TOOLS as long as you realize you ALWAYS have free will..they are just outlining the influences around you.

I too tend to rely on my intution and instinct mostly; and that by itself is always improving. I am now very able to identify people's intentions and tell what is going on in a situation quickly and easily. It has come to the point where meditative visualization actually seems to do more harm than good; because the universe seems to be saying "I've GOT this; quit PUSHING already!" If I just go with the flow; it seems my spirit is already doing that work. A bit strange; but hey...whatever works.

I had a SW member do a tarot reading three times, and all three times she was right on it! Ordinarily I'd be very skeptical, but it was hard to argue with the results.

The last two times I was much more careful not to give her any indications as to what was going on in my life (this seems to be the way many less scrupulous psychics will do it--leading on the subject for clues), and she was still uncannily accurate. We used to work together and were quite close, but rarely see each other now, so she had no idea what was happening.

I definately do not tell the psychic anything much I keep my answers short and sweet... I'm a big fan of yes/no answers instead of leading questions. Regardless, I like to have a reading every so often so as I can get some guidance in re: my life and the possible future.

It does aid in helping me make decisions about things.

I read palms, but it's more of a party trick, rather than for accuracy...

I've had my cards read several times. Some have been better than others. But the ones that were better leave an impression on me years later. So freaky....
