Isn't Hustler managed by Deja Vu? If so that's very bad news.
Indeed it is. However the two are managed and look completely differently. DeJa Vu's tend to have a more casual look and looser management. The Hustler clubs are more upscale, and breathtaking (Baltimore). They also tend to run stricter.

I hope I get to come down when it opens. ers: I think that's the main reason why I stayed at my club. They take a lot of money out of the dances, but I've gotten to go to Chicago, Baltimore, and Detroit (even though it's only 45 min from my house, they still put me up and dished out $250 for my dance card). Last year 6 of our girls went to Paris for two weeks (I couldnt get my passport in time )!

The Hustler I opened in Baltimore was amazing. Three stages (one glass on second floor). Great customer turnout. And they treated us like princesses. Limos, prime hotel, MAC make-up artists! The competition sounds tough though.

In both Baltimore and Detroit we had picketers (sp?) during the opening. Baltimore didn't suffer at all. But in Detroit, they're still picketing (now almost everyday for three weeks). It's causing horrible turnout for both dancers and customers. Damn elections.

What are the odds of that in Manhatten?

Doesn't Hustler/Deja Vu take half of its dancers' earnings?

They did very well. However, with that club as well as the others I mentioned, we were only sent down for the openings. After the inital opening, when they started hiring more local girls, we are sent home. I have no idea how the club is doing as of this year.

    Yes and no.

The Vu I work at in MI takes 1/3.

However alcohol clubs usually charge a flat base rent as opposed to tracking dances and charging per dance. They're goal I believe was to keep all the full-nude juice bars DeJa Vu's amd make all the fully toppless aclohol bars Hustlers. So I would assume that the Hustlers would charge the girls a flat rate.

But they're also greedy corperate leeches who will suck every penny possible out of the ever replaceable dancer. So who knows how the new club will be.

hey! i agree. . . with alot of people. . .PEC has the staying power. . . its #1 in manhatten. . our house is cheap. . . but hustlers opening is gonna be ALOT of money! and i will tell you . . because i always talk to the owners . . . if you leave for more then 3 nights they will not let u back! he told me to "tell" others that it wont be fair to the girls who didnt go over at all . . but he does not want to come out and make an announcement because he does'ent want to be like Scores . . . oh, the reason why it wont last? no large private rooms. . and no resturant! our restaurant has the club busy at 6pm, with rooms starting to go 7-9 thats early for any club. . . even when i worked at scores they didnt have the club the way PEC does. . . its beautiful! and brings the $ in. . . . what can i say? im gonna keep it as my home club. . . but i might check Hustler out. . . .

Sitara PEC's website is really nice. Better than other clubs in NYC thats for sure. One of my girlfriends worked at Scores and hated it. I told her to try PEC but she didn't listem to me she thought it was to new to make any real money there. She said alot of the girls at Scores we bitter and grumpy all night which many of the guys noticed. I don't know if it was me but the night I went to PEC the atmosphere was alot lighter. People we flirting and joking with customers and everybody was doing dances. I wish I has time to audition. I'm in my senior year and my senior project is very intense. Maybe this summer I'll give it a try.

Hello girls! I am here because the State of Ohio has passed a new rule (rule 52)regarding our conduct in clubs. We all fear that this is going to kill our business. It takes effect this Thursday so many of us are looking for alternatives. I am very interested in New York, but it is hard to decide where to go. PEC looks good, but I am not sure that I am "high calibur" enough to get in. I also have some tattoos and I know some clubs will not even let you in with them. However, hustling is NOT a problem for me and I am on top of the game. Does anyone have any suggestions for me and my dancer friend as to where to go?

By the way, I worked the first week that my club opened and made insane amounts of cash. If these new clubs are good, you will see huge cash flow and customer turn-out. After time, that will lessen and average out to what the other top clubs bring in. It is true that you will begin to see shortages in dancers all over. I have seen many clubs come and go here in Ohio and it's always the same. That is just my prediction.

Dancing in NYC is so over. It's ridiculous how over-saturated we are with clubs. I mean, how many f*cking clubs does this city need, especially of the gown and champagne room variety?
I agree Adina. I know Manhattan is very upscale but some guys dont want to spent 30 entrance fees. All these clubs are coming out at the same which are going to leave girls competing to get into the best clubs. Then what happen to second tier. They might do better as well, lower entrance fees, feature dancer, which would might be good for the customer meaning the club does well not the dancers. Different for some upscale clubs dancers do better than the club so higher tipouts.

Actually, you've probably got a very good chance of being hired by any of the new Manhattan clubs which will be opening soon. Opening a new club creates a need for 25-50-100 new dancers. While there are lots of dancers working in the NYC area, both locals and travel-ins, girls who already have established gigs at the better clubs are likely to be somewhat reluctant to quit their present club to take a chance on a new club. This is particularly true if the existing better clubs have put the word out that "if you quit and go to ____ , don't bother to ever come back !".

However, once the new clubs are open for a bit, and it becomes clear how much earnings potential will exist at these new clubs, NYC dancers will then be more willing to make permanent moves. This usually results in most of the girls who were "less than perfect 10's" that were hired to staff the new clubs for the grand openings gradually getting the boot a month or two or three down the road, as more "higher calibre" girls seek permanent moves to the new clubs.

However, the addition of more super-upscale Manhattan clubs resulting in more total dancers working really brings into question where the customer money is going to come from to provide earnings potential. Working a grand opening will undoubtedly great, as upscale club customers will certainly decide to stop in and check out the new club instead of going to existing clubs. But eventually, more dancers plying the same number of upscale club customers will result in reduced earnings.

It then becomes a question of which club or two are considered to be "THE place to go", the way PEC currently is. This effectively means that dancers in THE clubs will have very good earnings potential, while dancers in other clubs see their earnings potential decline due to loss of customers to THE clubs. This in turn motivates the very best dancers in other clubs to seek work at THE clubs, which allows club managers at THE clubs to be extremely picky about the dancers they will hire in the long term and reject any would-be dancers who don't meet their standards i.e. tattoos, a few extra pounds, non-supermodel look, A cup breasts, or whatever else doesn't strike the club manager's fancy.
