You can cover up the stretch marks as Venus Goddess says.

I am a black dancer and I work in lots of clubs where I am the only black dancer. That is an optimum condition to be in.

Plus not having the stereotypical black butt is actually more in your favor as some of the better clubs don't want black girls with back.

You will make most of your money off of white men. My best club is one I book one week a month in a small South Dakota town. Only 2 blacks out of 25,000 people live there and I have several really good regulars who are white. You have to be comfortable with white customers and dancers to be successful in this business.

Actually, in the small town clubs, when other black girls work with me on occasion they tend to be uncomfortable with me because I get along well with the white customers and dancers.

Just be comfortable with who you are. Your body and weight are fine.Your current size is more of an advantage to you now in this business than when you were 130 lbs.

Many new black dancers tend to focus on black customers more than white ones.

Don't do that. Focus on everyone. Don't avoid black men but realize than white men are the majority in many clubs and depending on where you are hispanics may be a large part of the crowd.

Be comfortable approaching and talking to everyone and realize that all your money comes from selling dances.

Good post Tina! For all the ladies, if you have problems socializing with people from all backgrounds you might as well hang your heels up now. People are people and if you aint making no money you need to step up your communication skills and confidence. A book on verbal communication wouldnt hurt. Also look into your local toastmasters organization, good cheap resource for stepping your game up.
