Default Mystic taning tomarrow, any advice?

I want to know what to do and what not to do when mystic tanning. I don't have a base tan, so any mistakes I'm thinking might be very noticeable. Just thought I'd cover my bases on this one, don't want to walk around looking like a freak if it turns out bad.

And don't forget to put the lotion (they give it to you at the tanning place) on your hands, and knees and elbows, heels, etc. And cover your hair...my one friend forgot to do that...and had some really funky hair color for a couple of days.

I'm a bit late on replying to this. But be very sure when applying the lotion that they provide (stuff that keeps off the color), to get it in your belly button. Be very generous when applying the lotion in there! I kid you not, it took over five months after my final mystic tan for the stain to leave my belly button. Everywhere else rubbed off rather quickly, but nothing would get it to leave my belly button. I had to walk around with a filthy looking belly button for months.

The first time I did a spray tan I had a guy who very thoroughly explained to me how to avoid problems. He said to goop on SOOOO much of the barrier cream all over your hands and feet...rub it all into your cuticles, inbetween your fingers and toes, and blend it in to your skin at your wrists and ankles...he said to put on 10 times as much as you think you need. like to the point where it is disgusting and you have you put a towel on the floor to step on so that you don't slip. Put on the hair cap, and after you're done VERY VERY VERY thoroughly wipe off the barrier cream from your hands and feet and cuticles to get off all the color. Some people really need to exfoliate first and moisturizing before going in helps as well. I do all of the above and have excellent results. I've had streaking only once when I got lazy and didn't put on enough barrier cream and didn't wipe it off well enough when done.

I actually like the spray tan called Sun Spray better than Mystic Tan. It seems like the same thing but Sun Spray has deeper color, lasts longer, and is cheaper than Mystic. They have it at Palm Beach Tan (don't know where else). It's a chain and they are all over the place. Quite a few in Texas I know that and Las Vegas too.
