    Default Stinky feet

There is a funk living in my shoes that could wake the dead! My feet sweat so much in my dance shoes, which seems weird because they are sandals if you will, not closed. Any advice on how to stop feet sweat and odor?

Hi. I have a cooling foot spray in the line of bath products that I sell in my store. It is handmade with only all natural ingredients. Works well and smells minty. Can spray it on legs and feet when they are tired for a quick pick me up.
I have also heard that putting your shoes in the freezer will kill the smell. Good luck!

I heard Green tea oil or something like that helps. Try takng your shoes off while doing your private dances. It'll make less sweat in your shoe if you have them off half of the time and save alot of pain on your back and feet. : Unless...taking off the shoes makes the smell worse. I've never had this problem but a gf of mine had a gland problem that made her palms and feet sweat alot. She used foot powder I think.

I used to have some serious stank-foot too! These days I use foot powder. Sometimes I sprinkle a few drops in the shoe before I put it on. If it's open toe thats not such a good idea cause you'll have powder dusting out the front later and people will wonder what your on...LOL. For open toe shoes I sprinkle foot powder on the floor, step in it so that just a bit sticks to the bottom of my feet, then I put my shoe on. Works like a charm.

ya once the shoe stinks its long gone over to the dark side. Yes putting them in the freezer does kill the live bacteria that are feeding and creating the smell but one more wear again puts them right back where they started.

Dr. Scholls foot spray in the pump NOT the aerosal works wonders.

OR buy underarm anti perspirant in the aerosal can and spray feet. Dont get deoderant thats just smell to mask the smell you have to get anti perspirant.

Keep feet meticulously clean, even if it means baby wipin them back stage or washin em up in the sink.

Best ever foot spray I've tried is made by Melaleuca, peppermint with tea tree oil and triclosan to control those nasty bacteria. It smells awfully strong when you first spray it, but will kill the smell for a couple wearings before you need to spary again - spray on the shoes and feet for the best protection.
I also read that regular pedicures are essential for keeping foot odor at bay, apparently dead skin on your feet traps odor-causing bacteria, and by keeping the dead skin away you eliminate the source of the problem.

    Thanks ladies!
I already do a couple of those things, pedicures every two weeks and I always take my shoes off for private dances, mainly becasue I'm so tall it's easier barefoot. I've used Dr. Scholls foot powder in my boots but never my open shoes, I'm going to try sprinkling it on the floor and then stepping into my shoes.

I have that same exact problem...But I've been using the foot powder as well, and luckily it's been working so far.

Actually, that does work. I store my shoes with fabric softener sheets in them too.

I do that too, but only between and under my toes and in the arches of my feet. I use the soft, clear kind of anti-persperant and wipe it there. My feet don't stink, but they are slippery when the sweat in my Jante shoes that are not padded, just sweat on plastic. Not good. I prefer to wear stockings or socks actually. If you do this, you can sprinkle foot powder in your socks too. Also, don't share shoes. I lent mine out once and the next time I wore them my feet smelled. I had to throw them away.

Soaking your feet for 20 min or so in warm tea will neutralize the PH levels and help eliminate the sweating ,a nd therefore the odor. I find I only need to do this for 1 week every 2-3 years or so.

OR....50 mg of zinc a day for 2 weeks and in my experience, 15 years later I am only starting to have to do this again. "quote from GREG--internet poster"

Also you might want to try the clear rock crystal deodorant "Crystal Stick Body Deodorant" available at CVS WAlmart etc. you wet it and wear it and can honestly go 2-3 days without another application...

There is this thing that you can buy in any health food store or natural market, it is an austrian mineral rock that you can wet and use as deodorant and antipersperant. Plus it lasts for like 6 months. It is great to use on the soles of your feet to get rid of sweating... no sweating=no stink, and you can use it on your feet because it isnt deodorant like you would buy normally it does not leave a film or residue or anything.

ladies, ladies you're going about it all wrong. Unless stinky feet are getting in the way of your work whats wrong? I doubt its strong enough that a customer can smell them from far away, and if your feet/shoes are indeed anywhere near a guys nose then I imagine he has some sort of foot fetish and is loving it! so for those of us feet guys out there, we beg you leave your feet smelling naturally, none of this mint or tea or lemon or any other stuff... if you work in a contact-allowed club, you can even have him (us) lick them clean for you =)

Get a job as a domme. Splitsekonds isn't the only guy out there who likes really stanky feet!

Seriously though, if you soak your feet in a highly saturated solution of Epsom salt and hot water, it feels really good and takes all the soreness out... and they won't stink for about a week. I used to do this when I was waitressing. I'm okay as long as I wear sandals, but anytime I wear socks and sneakers, the smell from my feet can raise the dead.
