    Default Ever danced in Japan??

I was thinking about going to Japan to dance because I hear that you can make a lot of money. I don't want to jump into it though. Has anyone ever ventured that far, if so I would love to hear of any experiences good or bad.

    Hello there.

About Japan ? Yes, I know lots about it.
There are two ways to work in Japan. One is work at
Lapdance club. Other one is doing Hostess at hostedd bar.

Lapdance rules are almost same every clubs in tokyo. First of all, one dance cost about $55.
club and client expect u to sit on his lap and keep your bottom grind. Of course you can keep stand up though. In some clubs, clients are allowed to touch your body - above waist. sometimes they kissing to your body (or lick)

There are well known top clubs in Tokyo (Ropppngi area), 7th heave, Private eyes (there r sisters club), and Tantra. I remember the House Fees are about $140. It means you need to pay $140 to work evey night.. Which was a bit too much for me but u'll keep rest of money which you earned. But of course some othre clubs don't charge you House Fee insted they take 20% from every single dances. (This way is comfortable for me.)

Doing Hostess at Hostess club - Well, this is quite easy one. What you need to do is just being clients nice & happy compnay whilst they are in the club. You don't need to go home wit him, nothning nasty in the club.
Most of cluds guarantee you $28 per hour. (some places are more)
So if you work 5 hours a day. $28 x 5 hours = your income. Just sit beside clients, and chat chat.
And if clinet comes back to see you again in the club, you 'd probably recieve $25 bonus by each client.
They can't touch you or you don't need to be naked at all. You can also go to supper with clients before work and take him to the club where you work - you will recieve about $25. This is called DOHAN which means escort him to the club.

Always mind, we don't need to pay expensive
contract commision or House fees, aren't we ?..(coz club should make money with selling drinks)
I know many agents charge you big commision to work in japan. But there are plenty of clubs out there if one doesn't work, just walk out and try next one.

    Good luck

putting 2 and 2 together, with the current earnings potential in Japanese clubs and the exchange rate for US$:yen, the earnings potential for "just dancing" in Japanese clubs is hardly worth the hassle and travel expenses if your primary interest is earning money. But if you're more interested in seeing Japan plus trying to earn some bucks on the side it's not a bad deal. However, Japanese clubs are nowhere near as flexible as US clubs in regard to shifts worked per week and starting/quitting times, meaning that you won't get as much free time as you might think.

Also, if you work a deal through an agency some or all of your travel expenses will be reimbursed ... PROVIDING that you fulfill the time and performance requirements of your contract to the letter. The agency also takes care of visas and other necessary paperwork on your behalf. But the agency does get its cut one way or another. If you go it alone and finance your own travel expenses, you'll be free to check out several clubs once you get to Japan and to work out the best deal that you can once the club manager has had a chance to look you over in person. In this case you're also free to leave whenever you want, which is not the case if you have signed a contract with a time commitment through an agency (well, you can leave, but it will cost you big time - like ALL of your hourly pay since the first night you started dancing plus buying your plane ticket home out of your own pocket!).

If you are not an experienced world traveller, you might want to keep in mind that you will be considered an "undesireable foreigner" by Japanese authorities, which puts you at a major disadvantage in the unlikely event that you wind up involved in any sort of trouble with locals. Also, any disputes between you and the club will almost certainly be decided in the club's favor.

Whilst I have not and will not dance in Japan (foreign environment, not english speaking country - I have a hard time with Japanese).... I have done plenty of research in re: this as alot of Aussie girls go there to dance or hostess.

It does depend on the girl. HOWEVER with that being said.. blondes do well in Japan over any other hair colour. There are bound to be brunettes and other hair types/colours who have done well yet consistently the blondes do well. The Japanese have a facination with them.

Be very aware that most contract club require you to work 6 shifts/nights a week leaving you with only one shift a week for R&R. If you can handle hard work .. then you might find this lucrative. Also, different clubs work for different girls.

Some find they don't do well at one club (for whatever reason) yet better at another.

All in all.. it is what you put into it will determine what you will get back out of it. Plus blondes with some class will do well. Learn Japanese and try to speak it as fluently as possible so they can't pull anything.

For "value".. here is some approximations:
    $100 Yen = $1.20 AUD
    $1000 Yen = $11.80 AUD
    $10000 Yen = $118.30 AUD
    $50000 Yen = $591.80 AUD

These are all correct at the time I posted this. Hence it would only be worth it if you could make $40,000 Yen or more per night (for Australians as that equals approx. $473.50).

What about Okinawa ??? Anyone tried there ??? It is close to Japan yet mainly American (similiar to Guam as in mainly Military) and paid in USD. I personally would feel more comfortable with that situation.

TheBestDancers - go with them. They have a more widely known good reputation than the other one.

Yes, I have been to Japan about 3 times. I'll be honest and say it's not how it used to be..and Roppongi is pretty much the gutter of Tokyo where all the foreigners, US military, drug dealers hang out..but Roppongi can be a lot of fun too..no one knows why but everybody keeps going back!? I was a dancer and a hostess and worked in Roppongi, shinjuku. &th heaven, private eyes and tantra are probably the top 3 clubs but each night a tip out of about $160 US dollars but apparently you can make a lot of money in these clubs. I have friends who have made nothing and other thousands every night. when it comes to hair colour, blonde is good but it doesnt mean anything anymore, I've seen Japanese men go for tiny blondes to fat, skinny, white, black , asian..it doesn't matter as long as you are charming and happy they like you. Shinjuku I was making $1000 US a week and I was getting accomodation free. I wasn't making too much money in Japan, I was getting money from customers fo rdoing nothing, just going out on dates and keeping them company. Japanese men I can't even beginto explain but there range from gross/sleazy to even sweet and caring and the people in japan are all pretty much friendly. my first time i went with world agency.. i had free apartment and most clubs you pay tip out depending on how many private dances you can make a night eg. 0-3 pd = $50 US dollars 4-6 = $80 7-9 $100 10-12 $120 13- = $160 and then there are clubs in shinjuku that will all offer oyu a gauranteed salary of $110 US a night and whatever u make on top of that with drinks, champage , tips is yours to keep. its not unusual to make over $300 in tips a night. I've seen some pretty amazing things with some girls. But there is touching and a lot more that goes on in japan private rooms then you like to think.. no sex though. its hard but they are allowed to touch your breasts. All in all, japan is a great place, I love it there and I have always had a great time there..I recommend 1st time with agency and 2nd time to go it alone but you have to be careful of some of the nigerian agents who have ripped me off in the past. world agency is run by aussies. I'd also recommend working in Roppongi, Shinjuku. not akasaka and not Omiya.

oh by the way, I made over 20,000 US in 6 months but walked away with about 5,000 due to how expensive everything is in tokyo even though I had the free apartment! an apple in japan costs on average $5, entry to a disco is about $10-$30 and a beer is $8 this is all US dollars so it's easy to get carried away there..it's a great experience though.

oh one more thing..hours are long..mon-sat some places 7-3 or at latest 5 in the morning. and u can get penalties for bein glate, taking days off..u are not your own person in japan, u get told what to do sometimes..anyway, Ill stop ranting. but if u have the money then id recommend going with your own ticket and finding aguesthouse so u have more freedom. its a 3 mnth contract unless u can get there and then pay them the airfare and then go on your own. it really is so much better without an agent in japan.

I had thought about working in Japan, but heard so many mixed reviews. I met someone who dated dancers while stationed over there and heard a lot of behind the scene stuff. If you just want to make money hustle in the US or in London. Being in another country under their rules (while naked) doesn't work for me...

You'll probably room with other girls, and most will be from columbia or russia. There will be prostitution (so I was told) and you are there for a contracted time...3 months min. Rules are strict, they fine you, and I'm almost positive you can't bring your man with.

If you decide to go..to all.... be careful and goodluck!!!

There are ups and down of working in Tokyo. You can make more money going out to bars in Roppongi after work and selling champange than you will probably make in the club dancing. I work for the 7th H/Lips/Private Eyes Co. through Euromax/World Agency...this was a bad idea. Few cases: one girl i met went through 6 roomies in less than 3 months, come and go, they took money out of our drink pay and made us sell tickets to the club without warniong, girls are on occassion cheated on pay, many girls go into debt owe the club money, the apartment is not free if you want your own, they may lie and say this like to one girl just to get you to come, the rooms are about the size of an American bath, there is touching allowed, if you do not want to allow it, they will try and force you to allow it, favoritism plays a big part on getting seated at a good table with good customers, they don't tell you before you arrive, but at some clubs, you are forced to stand outside/at the front door in your dancer clothes for advertising purposes, NOT cool for those that care for 'some' discretion, dressing rooms are not great. Most girls at the club I work at are having up and down months, more down than up. Many $0-$100 nights. Watch your drinks if you do come. Ghb or similar is common here. It is a fun city, just make sure of the reason you are coming and watch where you book and who you book through. Good luck and one love to all...
