Or club does that sometimes (we're always pastie, but they only sometimes enjorce the no contact rule) and the only way to make money is to do VIPs where we do touch and let them touch. But it's hard with no-contact....hard to get more than one dance and you really have to wow them with your personality. If possible, use flesh-colored liquid latex for a pastie. You can't really tell.
I have read the new law which is called "Rule 52". Our management says that there is going to be some sort of appeal in a federal court. This rule WILL hirt sales, I can garauntee it. Customers are just going to start going to the all nude clubs. But then again, I hear they are trying to pass legislation effecting the conduct of nude clubs as well. You can read the actual document for "Rule 52" at the "Register of Ohio" website. Once there, you must look up "Rule Number 4301:1-1-52". That is the real deal. This rule also refers to "ORC 2907". You can find this document on the "Anderson's Online Documentation" website. You must search for Ohio Revised Code 2907.01. I hope this helps everyone.
ohio has always had a 6 inch rule. as for pasties... is the new rule that it has to be more then just latex? we used to use just the clear latex. Nude clubs are no contact too. Just last summer I was giving a guy a dance at plush in columbus and he barely touched the back of my knee with his hand. I didnt care, but the bouncer threw him out.
ok, i've read it. so no latex, at least not the clear kind. an opaqe type should technicly be leagl, however the club to cover thier butts will prolly say no. in kansas they use these round band-aid type things.
I like number 8 of the one on top.
I dont get why there are two... is it two diffrent versions and only one passed? or is it just two diffrent sections?
heres the link:

then enter 4301:1-1-52
I would have included the link to that site in my first post, but I was not sure that this site allowed any URLs. Sorry about that. There is an old version of the rule that was "rescinded", meaning canceled or voided. If you look where it says "TYPE", you will see that one version says "NEW" and one says "RESCINDED". So, the new one is the one to worry about.
YAY!!! "Rule 52" has been officially delayed for 31 days. Keep your fingers crossed!

I've only danced in paistie clubs. Va is no contact while on stage and we just recently went to contact dances in a VIP room. I've always made decent money but the one thing I've noticed from traveling and talking to girls that have been dancing in Va for years is that we have to have a better stage show since we couldn't rely on lap dances when they were no contact. You can always tell us old school girls cause we work harder on stage!
yeah... where I work now, the stage is just a bunch of mini-lapdances with a pole in between. I would rather have no contact on stage.
I work in columbus also... what is the latest on the law?
On a good note I bought a new outfit to cheer myself up about the new law...
Hey you guys keep me ubdated! I am a very new Ohio dancer. I've been dancing for two weeks and i havent been making much money as is so these new laws will really hurt me. My club is no alcohol, so will these laws still apply?
Hello all!
I have been dancing in Columbus, OH for about 12 years and have seen the laws change and all the ups & downs.
I have worked in all types of clubs. Before 1998, all alcohol clubs were called go-go. They did not get topless at all, and there was absolutely no contact.
Nude was nude with no alcohol.
I always made more money in the nude clubs.
Currently, topless clubs now do 'lap' or 'friction' dances.
Nude is still no contact.
In 1998, I was making between $200-$600 a night without touching customers or letting them touch me.
I currently make maybe $50 - $100.
Believe me, if there is no contact, you will make more money.
I will be very happy when Rule 52 goes into effect. That would mean no club could make you touch customers or let them touch you. I prefer this, and I also make more money without touching.
I sure would not work for this crap money if I had to be forced to do lap dances.

CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES!! seriously. And get other people to do it too. Tell them that it's a waste of taxpayer dollars and their time to legislate what two consenting adults can do in a regulated adult setting, as long as there is no chance of disease transmission. (i.e. prostitution. I'm actually pro-prostitution but that wouldn't be the time to tell them that!) ESPECIALLY when this has been going on for a gazillion years and no harm has come from it. Maybe even get statistics on clubs' incomes and show how clubs generate more money for Ohio's economy.
I think Rule 52 will get lost in appeal. My club in Dayton hasnt changed one iota. There was a bunch of talk (the dancers were worried as hell) but thus far no changes.
Im keeping my fingers crossed.

Once again I have embraced my addiction and have put off the moral dilemma to another day.
Hey Miss Chevious
Umm I am a dancer in Ohio but I go Full frontal nudity So that Law doesn't affect us oh wait Yes it does All of your customers are now going to go To The actual strip clubs and see naked women. The six inch Rule has always been the case. So if you were doing dances any other way but six inches away your lucky your not in jail for prostitution. I Think this Law was the best thing that's ever Happen for the stripping industry. So Guess What Looks Like you'll Be taking all your clothes off or working at Mcdonalds.
I read that Rule 52 was considered unconstitutional again. However, 6 Dayton clubs just got raided for drugs and prostitution last week, with 38 violations of rule 52. I am not sure how that makes any sense. Anyway, there is a House Bill 428 that is going to try to make all clubs close at 11pm, no direct tipping or pay, and a 6 foot rule instead of a 6 inch rule. I don't think that will pass. It is way too restrictive.

I work in Ohio and the issue was a big concern for awhile. I heard there was an injunction on it about a month ago but nothing since.
Well, I was wrong. House Bill 428 passed the House and is on it's way to the Senate. Apparently, if it passes the Senate, it will go into effect by September.

Ok this might be a stupid question. But I'm just covering my butt on this one. I assume that these laws would only apply to public clubs. I would assume that they do not apply to someone's private party where they've hired entertainment (not an escort, just a nude stripper).
Would I be correct to assume the above?
Also a pondering comment. My home club is XTC in Akron. It's fully nude, and we've always done contact lap dances. In fact the rules they give us to sign when we start working there say that we are allowed to straddle the guy in the lap dance booth. StripperWeb is the only place I have heard of these possible new state laws. No one at all has talked about it in my club. You would think that someone would. Hmmm.

I don't know if you are in the same district. Maybe this won't affect you. I am in Columbus. And by the wording, I don't think anyone's private party would be affected. Anyway, here is the link to House Bill 428. http://www.legislature.state.oh.us/b...?ID=125_HB_428
You will have to scroll down to Sec. 3768.03 and below to really get to the bad stuff.
When you say you have always done contact lap dances - were they done before 1998? That seems to be the year when most of the clubs here in Columbus started pushing for more customer contact for less money.

Thanks for the link. I did read pretty much the whole thing. I read everything at the bottom. So, it passed the house. Now it has to pass Senate and then be signed by the govenor. Are there petitions out? What can we do to protest? Does anyone know of anything being done out there or are we just standing around waiting for it to happen. I am a tax payer and law abiding citizen and I don't want to sit around and wait to be resrticted even more.
Common Ohio Ladies, Club Owners, Store Owners and Patrons let's stop talking and start doing. It might be too late but shouldn't we try?

There is an organization called A.C.E (Association of Club Executives). and the Ohio chapter (B.A.C.E.) is collecting money (like $1 per dancer per shift) to raise money for attorneys to fight this. The link to their website is: http://www.acenational.org
One member of B.A.C.E. comes into our clubs at least once a month to let us know what's going on. He publishes a monthly magazine called NightVisions which shows clubs here and in Dayton and surrounding areas.

Hi, I am in Columbus Ohio. I am fairly new to dancing and read about this law and am also worried that it will affect our jobs. I also read that the law might make us have to pay a fee to dance at a club. I am also worried about this smoking ban that might happen, the club I work at isn't crowded anyway and I am afraid that if this ban goes into effect or whatever this will make things even worse, so us dancers actually have two things going against us!
Welcome to Columbus, fellow Columbsite.
As a patron, I've wondered as well how these laws (when they happen) will effect business. Chances are it will changes things dramatically at the start and then like everything else will ease up. At least I hope so. I have experienced air-dances and would have a hard time bringing myself to pay 20 - 40 bucks for one knowing ahead of time that's what it would be.
Smoking won't hurt things. We'll just go outside.
