Has anyone went from dancing to escorting Or escorting to dancing? Does anyone feel it's morally wrong to sell your body for sex. I have never been escort. I know I could never do it. I am just curious about the whole thing.

i won't diss an escort- that's their buisness- but personally, i wouldnt do it. however i would get pissed if a "dancer" was escorting in MY place of buisness- a STRIP CLUB. i think this has been discussed frequently before...

I think that if someone wants to sell their body for sex, there is nothing wrong with that. I don't care, that is their business. I am not into that, but if they are, then that's their right.
right- when you think about it- who are the escorts hurting, besides possibly themselves? if there was no demand for prostitutes, then the buisness would have died out long ago. prostitution has been around forever. there are MUCH more harmful professions out there than prostitution- IMHO.
Two seperate jobs as we all know. I have actually interviewed at an agency months ago to look more into the world of escorting, just for more info. Lots of ladies came and went passed as i was answering questions. They ranged from heavy (very) to plain janes, and not one was what i would expect. Looks wise.
I could not have sex for money. I don't want them around me, meaning in the workplace. And It is ILLEGAL to sleep around with clients for $$ in Florida. Take it to The Bunny Ranch as far as i am concerned.
However.....I respect them to a point. Cross my path with a Bf/husband family, your gonna have problems. So....At a distance they are fine.
I also don't like the whole "our women get checked for all std's every month crap." OK....Once you have HIV or AIDS you have it. Too late.
That's my true feelings, you offer me money after i sleep with you, you will get nailed......HARD

Personally, I don't have a problem with what someone chooses to do with their life. I could never do that type of thing. It's a very intimate thing that I only share with my husband. I was looking on a site once that had a link on SCL, I think. They have sites for the brothels in Las Vegas and elsewhere. I was truly amazed at how much the women varied. They even had a site for the men to comment on their experience with the particular girl. Truly amazing.
I don't put down those who choose to do that, it's just not for me.
Morally, I don't see escorts any differently than girls who have "sugar daddies." Sex is had for all kinds of wrong reasons. But sex as a job, I couldn't do it.
well what does everyone think "sex for money" is? jenna jamison has sex on camera for money, the film companies pay her, is THAT sex for money- or is it legit because a company is paying her? strippers sell the "image" of sex, is that sex for money? some people think it's just the same as prostitution (obviously i disagree). demi moore took her clothes off for "striptease" for money, was that legit becuase, again, a film company paid her? where is the line that separates? and what about women that marry men soley because they know the man will take care of them, financially, if the woman satisfies him? is THAT sex for money??? i would really like to know everyones opinion on this.
I think it's all sex for money, morally. But legally, the lines have been drawn. And dancing is where my comfort level is.Originally Posted by carmenNYC link=board=1;threadid=6769;start=msg75597#msg75597 date=1077233368

I think prostitution should be legalized..I no problem with what someone choses to do with his/her body.

I agree with Carmen, I dont mind if you are an escort, just dont bring it and advertise it in the club I work in. Then we all suffer.
Carmen, I used to say the same exactttttttttt thing. Basically, porn stars are prostitutes because they are getting paid for sex. I guess the laws are, you cant charge them yourself, a company has to do that for you, in order for it to be legal... Oohhh the loop holes. lol It seems like a nicer term to use, PORN STAR than prostitute. And they will argue against this, too, even though it is basically the same thing. Again, people's opinions will change because they see porn stars as "glamorous and beautiful" (some anyway) and when some think of prostitutes, they think of cracked out chicks in the streets...
But about Demi Moore, she danced, and that is legal. But when a girl does porn, she is basically prostituting, on camera, mind you, and its ok.
So lets see....next time someone wants to make money having sex, dont bother prostituting on the streets...Just do it on camera!!!! It will be ok, and you'll get paid. LOL![]()
I have no problem with escorts, just as long they kept that shit OUT of the clubs. But can you imagine having sex with some gnarly troll for money?!? YUCK!
I also think it should be leaglized. I think it would be safer for the people who choose to do it then. I also like the idea of places like the bunny ranch. I could never do it. I dont particuarly care for lap dances. Sex with some guy I dont love would kill me. (girls on the other hand....) I dont mind prostitues at all. Just as long as they stay out of my club. My club is for dancers. I would never work in a blended club where there were 'just dancer' girls and prostitues as well. I dance, thats it and thats all I want my co-workers doing there too.
Oh, and I think it should be legalized, as well. Like ami said, it would be safer and people would probably check themselves more often. Though I could never do it either.
thats true. want it legal? get a camera and sell the results as well (double your money, double your fun?). I get lots of "modeling" offers where the "photographer" wants me basicly to f*ck him on camera and then sell the video online. no thanks.Originally Posted by Lexi link=board=1;threadid=6769;start=msg75638#msg75638 date=1077238691

LOL Miss Siera, "having sex with some gnarly troll"
lexi- that's what im sayin man. porn stars basically are prostitutes, they are getting laid for $$$, no matter who pays out- a film company or a lonely man on the street. porn stars get pissy when they're called prostitutes like you said i guess b/c they dont want to be associated with the ones hooking on the street.
I think to each their own. I have no problems with escorts I just couldn't do it. I also do not think that escorts and dancers should mix professionally (within the club atmosphere). It blurrs the lines of what one will and won't do.
I comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.

I agree. I think it's bs that extras are involved in strip clubs. I don't want to be around prostitution, but sooner or later, I may not have a choice. Eventually, that may be what stripping turns into.
i totally agree with lexi ...i mean i could careless what other people do with their body ....i think porn stars are prostitutes ...getting it on camera doesn't make it morall though it might make it legal ...isn't it amazing how life is ...i mean you have prostitues who are out there havig sex for money and its illegal... bring a video camera into the room and it suddenly becomes legal ....i have no problems with escorts( arn't they making an honest living) ...there are others things/people to worry about ......there are alot worst immoral things going on around us

Oh, I know how feelings can get all heated when talking about prostitution. I once posted a light-hearted business idea for an "all-you-can-eat"-style brothel in Nevada to one of the business newsgroups I moderate (misc.enterpreneurs.moderated). Some posters got all bent out of shape over it and us moderators got a lot of heated hate emails from them. Here's the archived thread:

Personally, I do not see anything wrong with any form of sex work. It's a consentual activity between two adults. Be that paying a cover charge to see women strip on stage, receiving a lap dance, engaging in sexy talk over the phone, or having sexual intercourse.
And I can understand why some exotic dancers don't want prostitutes plying their trade in their clubs. Some object on moral grounds and some that it's competition for patron dollars. However, I do feel it should be up to the club owner to decide what type of club s/he operates, but, in the same breath, feel they must inform the dancers of this. That's just plain business sense. Making sure all the employees know just what kind of a business the club is in so everyone is on the same page and there's no unwanted surprises.
However, I do find it interesting that some here view porn stars as nothing more than prostitutes and view them not in a positive way. As many feature dancers are porn stars, it makes me wonder if feature dancers are negatively viewed by those that view porn stars as prostitutes.

I agree, prostitution should be legalized. If its two consenting adults, then its no ones business. And just because I wouldnt do it, doesnt mean that nobody else should. However, if it was going on in the club where I work? Legal or not, it is not ok!! Then I'll never make any money and thats just plain rude.

There are a few porn stars that work at my club....I know it's kind of different than an escort, but even though I don't look down on them...I sure would never do it either. I guess the same goes for escorts. To me that is rock bottom. Not that I am judging those who do or have done it...I just never ever could. There were a lot of girls that said they were dancers but were really hooking up for "dates" after work in one of the bigger clubs I used to work at. It really used to piss me off because it gave the rest of us a bad image. I guess if you are gonna escort keep it totally seperate from the club and just not mention it to the other dancers.
I did go from escorting to dancing. There are different kinds of escorts though. Despite what many will tell you not all escorts are prostitutes. A full service escort provides sex but not all escorts are full service.

I think prostitution should be illegal but for practical not moral reasons:
a. The more prostitution is tolerated the more it is expected.
b. As the supply goes up the price goes down.
The stricter vice controls the business the less the customers get for their buck and the less we have to do to earn it. Customers in a zero tolerance environment are generally perfect gentlemen. In Utah you have a great situation where nudity is so scarce the guys are greatful for every scrap and pay top dollar. That's the way I like it!!!
You get what you put up with
they should just legalize the damn thing. it suddenly becomes legal when there's a camera.....so every perv can watch. and you KNOW all the "straight" folk have a secret porn collection. including the president, cops, professors, judges, etc. everyone has a hidden perv in them, lets just all admit it. haha.
I really can't knock a top dollar escort. I mean, think if you could make 500 per customer and do 3 or 4 a day. That would be quite a cushy living! And then there are escorts even more expensive than that. Wasn't there one girl who is about $12,000 a weekend? I doubt she works much, prob. has a cushy day job and thats just play money for her. When I think of that kind of cash, I could almost see myself doing it. ALMOST, then I think about what a lonely life that would be. I'd have to give up relationships, and seriously-what kind of guy would date a prostitiute and would anyone actually want that guy? And even after quitting the business, you are still stained with having once been a prostitute. It seems like great money and a great life, but in the long run you give up sooo much. Love, a family, all that money can't buy. That makes it so not worth it for me.
