Default I made a big mistake!

Recently I got an eyebrow wax. I love it and it is wonderful but last wednsday I started to feel an ingrown hair. Now i get the brazillian bikkini wax i can get ingrowns but since i dance topless usually it is not a problem. But on my face I just wasnt having it!!! SO like an idiot i tried popping it. but i really didnt think it was ready to get popped! So i took my tendskin lotion which has alchol or something in it and put it on my ingrown untill i felt a burning sensation. I think the ingrown is gone now but now I have an ugly red burn i think between my eyes!! This is something that can not be covered up with makeup! I missed three days of work becuase i can not go in looking like that! I am really depressed and confused, i think it is a burn! Burns heel right!! I don't want to look like this forever!! The problem is i want to get eyebrow waxed but i never want to have this problem again. If i put tendskin on( like the directioions say not my own stupid stupidity) will it stop the onset of ingrowns. It has helped the ingrowns on my bikkini line alot will the same go for my eyebrows? Do first degree burns heel without scars! Anybody with any info on this PUT MY MIND AT EASE!! I'm going nuts!!

If you have no puss underneath or a blister like mark, you should go to the drugstore and ask for something to cool down redness, and help healing of irritated skin. First degree burns can blister on a very sensitive area.

I would first go to the pharmacy, if this condition is not getting any worse over the past few days. He/she may know what would help to heal if the area is not looking infected.

Of course if you get no better soon, see a doc. as a burn can infect easily if it opens/blisters or will puss out..

    Good luck!

Also burns do heal very well with no scar depending on what type and area. I am no doctor, but it sounds like you caused a major irritation.

Stick a safety pin in a Vitamin E capsule and squeeze out the oil...put it on the burn. It will help it heal and minimize scarring.

As far as eyebrow waxing in the future, I wouldn't risk it. I can't wax my eyebrows at all because my skin is too sensitive and I get a bad rash, along with ingrowns. So now, I tweeze instead. Once you've waxed, you can maintain the shape by tweezing each hair as they grow in. You will have to spend 5 minutes a day or less maintaining them - you may only have to tweeze a few hairs a day. It hurts at first but you will get used to it and eventually you will not feel it at all.

Tweezing doesn't cause rashes or ingrowns like waxing does.

well, since these good ladies gave you ways to correct your problem (and since I don't know anything about that), I will add my 2 cents about how to COVER it. However, I will say that covering it up with makeup might slow down the healing process as it tends to clog pores and whatnot....it's really your decision, I'm just giving you an option, that's all. Ok, this'll sound really stupid but it usually works pretty well. I'll state the rule for all marks, not just yours. Use the OPPOSITE color in the color spectrum over the spot you are trying to cover, and then use concealer. So, basically, if you have a red mark, like a pimple or a burn or something, use green or blue eyeshadow over it. This neutralizes the color. Then put a decent amount of concealer over it, blending VERY WELL around the edges. If you have a discoloration like a bruise that is blue or green, use red or pink blush or lipstick and just cover it very lightly. Again, cover it with concealer. Now, like I said, this USUALLY works (sometimes it takes several attempts to find the best color to neutralize the blemish) but sometimes, especially with things like cuts with scabs, it just won't work (usually because of the texture more so than the color). And again, I'll warn you that using makeup will probably impede the healing process and may even make it worse (infection) but if it's a measure that you NEED to function, use it, but just make sure to wash it off REALLY REALLY well before going to bed.
