    Default Demographics and your look

HI i was reading a post on here about strip club racism. Very interesting post about stuff that got me thinking. What looks does everyone have and what major cities do you think that would appeal to the most? I work in Minneapolis and we mostly have a scandanavian population. Even though I am half german I mostly take after my father(from Brazil) and have olive skin tone, dark brown hair and brown eyes. A lot of hispanic men get dances from me, Black men love my ass (hey we brazilian girls have butts). Little asian guys sometimes like me. And older white men like me alot. With the thirty year old white men it is half and half. Some like me and some do not. I'd say this demographic makes up half of the strip club goers in minnesota. I was just wondering if minnesota is a good place for a girl with darker features to make money. A lot of guys in minnesota like their own kind ( blond with blue eyes). Now I have no problem relating to white men in general ( i do not speek ghetto or anything) and I'd say I am above advrage looking so I make pretty good money but i was just wondering if i would make more in a diffrent city like new york where itallians make up a large population and are generally more recepitve to a darker sultry look? Where in the country do you think looks are most in demand? Here are my guestamants!

Blue eyed blonds( example: Pamala Anderson: Pretty much everywhere expecially in Texas and Minnesota and California.

Dark haired/eyed Brunettes: ( example:Catrine Zeta-jones): New york, Bosten, and philadephia.

Asians example: Tia Carrerie) Obviously Chicago because i read on this board there is a real shortage.

Red heads( example: Donna from that 70's show) I would think they would do good anywhere considering they are so rare.

Obviously form my examples all thease women are super hot and would do well in any club but i just wanted to see if there are cities you think they would have the most demamd for their particular look. What cities do you guys think?

Blondes also tend to do very well in Chicago and through-out the Mid-West. Brunettes are also favored in Texas, Florida, and California where a more "exotic" look is not alien to the local population. Ny'ers, in particualr, love brunettes and anyone with an exotic look.

From this customer's point of view, the 3 most important things are friendliness, smile, and fitness level. I could care less if the girl is blonde, dark or whatever. But I'm one of those older guys who plans to spend a lot when I go clubbing. Maybe the young cheapskates have different criteria.

I agree FONDL, the younger guys are into looks so it seems in the clubs. I always get "your hair is so beautiful, can i play with it?"

The older guys could care less, i watch them. They seem to like a smile, kindness, and a lady. Yep, even in a strip club!

I agree. The older guys usually look for personality and good conversation. I don't think it is a certain area that prefers blondes, brunettes, etc. It really just depends on the individual guy. Not all young guys like big boobs, etc. and the closer you are to a big city, the more diversity there will be in the club, not only as far as dancers but in preference.

    well...that's odd...

'cause after all of this 'supply and demand' talk...and after viewing several photos of several strip club web sites...i'm convinced that there definitely is a prefered 'look'...so to speak...regardless of demographics....

Why do some people still have to fight...to get the same opportunities...that are given to others??...

Look out for self...because noone else will...AND

I think in the U.S. it doesnt really matter, its more a matter of your personality and total pakage, than your hair and skin color, but I am sure some men have a personal preference they may lean toward but they can easily be swayed away, depending on your personality and how persausive and articulate you can be.I do think certain countries have a preference for certain looks,I know in japan basically they only like blondes with big boobs,Iam not sure of the preferences elsewere though.

Topaz, those strip club web sites majorly doctor the photos of the strippers. Also....the website is probably going to use the photos of the girls that most appeal to a "Scores" type of customer who might be spending money, the girls more like showgirls and supermodels....this is just a safety net......

Seriously, my club, and all the clubs in Texas I've been to, are very racially diverse. The girls who make the most money are the ones who are put together well, and who can hustle, and are not afraid to just walk up to a table of any TYPE of guys and just start to bullshit and have fun......

I worked with a Lithuanian girl who danced in Japan...she was blonde, but she had really small boobs. BUT, she was very tall and skinny....

From what she said, Japan likes girls that are very different...meaning taller, and with different skin types than the natives. Even black and Latina girls are liked there is they are slim and classy. I imagine this is because they already have enough local girls, and prefer to recruit variety...

    Good question, Lilac.

I'm dark haired, dark eyed, tall, natural DD's and wide hips.

I've done the best in alaska, texas, and the north east. I did not-so-well in LA.

I also tend to appeal to the older and middle aged guys more. Customers in their early twenties usually don't like me at all.

Lilac--it's not necessarily a bad thing to look different than the local standard of beauty--you'll get people's attention, and everyone for whom that blonde haired, blue eyed ideal is not appealing. Attracting attention is the name of the game...

In Washington state, strangely enough, it seems to depend on the day. If one blonde is having an exceptional night, usually all of us are. On the same night, the brunettes will not do as well. Huh. Weird.

Hello. Well being a Southern transplant in Minnesota, I do notice that there's a plethora of Scandinavian beauties in the clubs. However, I've always tended toward brunettes and those with darker skin. In fact, except for some of the downtown clubs, it's always a shame that there is a minimum of African-American ladies.

But I agree with some of the other posters, for me (and I'm just in my 30's) repeat business goes to those with attitude, presence and the ability to converse pleasantly.

I'm a redhead working in the South. I get everyone except black men (way too skinny for most of them, but they love to tip me on stage when they see the white girl popping her booty).

For the most part, it's all about the blondes here. The bigger the bosom and blonder the hair, the better. But it is the South, so black dancers have plenty of young guys and black men to choose from. If they aren't "ghettofied" ("Yo, baby, you like sistahs?") then they sometimes do very very well with older businessmen. Asians always do well.

But that's only a foot in the door. You have to have skills to get beyond that cracked-door opportunity, and anyone with exceptional skills can do away with demographically preferred typecasting entirely. In other words, the only definitive statement I can make about my area is that the customers want a good actress who is interesting to be with. I've seen black girls cut a swath of destruction through customers' wallets, I've seen blonds who couldn't pay the rent and I've seen Asian hotties who spend the night in the dressing room from boredom.

First the smartassed reply: Dancers have hair?
Now on to the meat of the topic...
I have noticed that the thicker dancers seem to do much better with the afternoon/lunch businessmen. Granted I am using my wife and several of our friends as the basis of my opinion, but I have worked with them at night when the club has more under 26 yr olds in it and they don't make as much money as the "barbies" or the thinner girls with blonde hair.
At first I thought it might be the music choises then I realized Deanna dances to gothic metal and some punk when I can slip it in.I think it breaks down to the way you carry yourself and if you have a certain "air" about you you will do better with the older crowd as opposed to the young guys.

This is off-topic here, but does your wife do well with the Gothic music most of the time?

Here in Atlanta because there are so many translplants there is a great variety of body types to choose from. I've noticed that the blue collar guys tend to like thicker women and white collar guys like thinner or 40- 24 - 40 women.
The trailer trash types with brown roots and brassy hair get turned down at every pass, unless of course thats the only type of girl at that club.
If you are the only girl of your "type" at your, club and you are comfortable and can work it then you tend to do well, but if you feel out of place than you may not.

I wonder why there was no option for black/latina girls?
    And why the comment that
"I've seen black girls cut a swath of destruction through customers' wallets" as if we aren't supposed to make money?

Yes she does, I think it's because its"her" music so she gets more into the sets, and it shows on her face that she is more relaxed and into things.

It also depends on the club, in new york all kinds of women are popular because there are so many different kinds of people.
