Yes, there was a girl at my club who was large and stripped. At least a UK16. A customer made a rude comment about her to me when she was on stage about her weight and I told him that if he could not appreciate women, he should eff off out the club. He apologised, but comments like that don't excuse anyone in my eyes. I've seen that girl make great money because she has large, heavenly titties, a great smile and is bubbly. Don't diss the larger ladies, you just don't know what they're capable of.

Violet, yes its me in the picture and I dont know how to take your comment about "a little bigger". At first it sounded like it was a compliment, and then it sounded like an insult, but I dont know how you meant it.
Anyway, there are girls who are a lot bigger than me and they do great. I weigh 110, and some girls who are taller and heavier and still do great. Hell I know girls my height who are heavier and do great.
I have never seen a REALLY fat stripper in my club nor have I ever heard of any (im talking huge)

Whilst I might not be 'heavy' as I have toned up and lost a little weight... I'm not perfect. I have cellulite (sp?) on my thighs etc.

Then again, there are two dancers at my club at this present moment who are "fat". I don't call them fat.. I call them voluptious (sp?)... one is "bigger" than the other.

The biggest girl at our club can do incredibly well as she is so damn sexy in my opinion. Same with the other "heavy" dancer... she does well too.

In the end, body size/shape/image will only "get you in the door" in re: punters .... then it is up to your hustling/selling ability and personality to sell.

There are PLENTY of guys who like bigger girls. Or even just the curious george's out there who want to know what it is like to "handle" a larger lady... regardles.. there IS money to be made no matter what size you are.

I am 5'8" 154 at the end of the day! Lol. I do great, i love not being skinny anymore (for me it just works better with more weight) like i was when i started dancing at 21. Now i do many privates because my Fav. club closed in Lauderdale, BUT, i can still get a job at an up-scale club! I keep checking! lol.

Yes heavy or thin, it works both ways for the customers...Really!

Definitely! I used to be "big" in a thick muscular way, but now I'm just soft and curvy. Bigger girls attract older customers who have less drama and more money than the younger ones.

In my opinion, I don't think that anyone's body is perfect. I've seen other dancers who are a little chubby, but they have totally banked. Different men like different women. I think that if we were all the same, it would be a very very boring world.

I'm 5'3", and 112 lbs. A couple of months ago, I was 117, but I'm too active at the moment to keep it on. And I've even been passed over in clubs by men who wanted someone with a little more weight on them. Everyone has their ideal body type, women and men, and if there's a dancer fitting that ideal, they go for it. I know quite a few men who like their girls a little heavier.

One of the sexiest dancers at my club is at least a size 12. She's so confident, though, that nobody notices or cares.

Really, though--whose standard of beauty is the 5'10 110 pounds woman? The fashion industry. Rent a porn--the guys don't want to fuck fashion models. They want women!

Since I've been working, my sizes have varied between an 8 (last winter) and a 14 (the summer of 2002). I can say that right now I'm not at what I feel would be my ideal weight/size, but I still do well when I stay motivated.

Oh, and I can just barely squeeze into my size 10s.

Different sizes look different on different body types. What I'm trying to say is if you carry your weight well and with confidence then you'll do fine.

Yes, confidence. There was a girl at my club that was maybe 5'4", 5'5", and she weighed like, at least 165 lbs. She made BANK because she had confidence, she was sweet, and her other attributes also helped a lot--she had great hair and a beautiful face. And she moved beautifully.

Last time I checked, no one was perfect. We don't have the opportunity to get airbrushed before coming to work like a centerfold model!
Every customer has a different idea of sexy and each likes something different. You may be completely unattractive to one and the most beautiful goddess to grace the earth to another!
    Good Luck!

Since nobody else will fess up, I will. I'm a pretty big girl (in stripper terms) and it's never been a big issue (No pun). I'm a 12 or so, but I prefer the phrase reubenesque exotic dancer to fat dancer. Go figure. Boys are really much more accepting about padding than the other ladies in the club. Strange.

There was another thread about this recently, I think on the general board. I'm 5'5", don't know my exact weight but maybe somewhere around 155-160. I usually wear a size 11/12 now. I have a belly that can't be sucked in, lots of cellulite, etc. And I don't even have big tits to "compensate" (it seems like a lot of people think that a bigger dancer only has her huge tits working for her, or something). I'm making as much or more than anyone I've worked with so far. All day long all I hear is compliments about my body. Not one person has said anything negative yet.

At my smallest, I was a 4, at my largest, a 10.. I am an 8, I'm not skinny, not big, I've got an hour glass figure(38-26-3 and I am bigger than some of the girls at my club-but it has not stopped me or hindered my money.. I've had a child, so my tummy is not taught like it used to be, but I keep working on things... but honestly, its not how big you are, its what the customer likes and how well you work with what you've got.... I dance to Rob ZOmbie's Brickhouse remake just to remind some of those guys who can be a little crruel with the worrd "thick" that a non barbie girl is a winning hand! LOL

yes... i dance... and i am 5'8" 135 lbs... about a size 6/8... there are a couple of girls i work with that are heavier and/or curvier than me.... i struggle with weight issues since i am recovered from an eating disorder.... but am realizing that it's not all that important....i weighed about 10lbs more when i started but have started to tone out a little from dancing...some guys like thicker girls... really... i was shocked....
men like girls of all shapes and sizes...
