I was never addicted to crystal meth, it was addicted to me! Seriously back in the late 80's I got into cocaine because pot was hard to find and I couldn't stand hash, it was fun to see who could snort the most and still sleep, lol. When snorting it no longer held an appeal we started to freebase it(crack before crack was hip). I joined the Navy to get away from the drug culture I had become immersed in and lo and behold was introduced to my favorite drug:METH. When the Navy finally decided I had a problem that needed fixing I had been up for 27 days straight and smelled so heavily of ether noone could get near me. I overdosed several times and had some interesting conversations with "god" while I was fighting for my life. It took 6 months in rehab(the first 3-5 days were spent mostly sleeping) to get clean and I'm VERY lucky to still be alive and kicking to this day. Hell after 16 years I STILL get meth flashbacks and everytime I do it scares the living shit out of me! Meth amphetamine is nothing to fuck with.If you wanna talk more in depth about it feel free to e-mail me or p.m. me.Originally Posted by Princess44 link=board=1;threadid=7166;start=msg81307#msg81307 date=1078526385
Blade
My ATF was busted in a drug raid and forced to attend a 30-day rehab (or go to jail.) It totally changed her life and she says it's the best thing that ever happened to her. If you have a problem, don't wait, you need professional help now. The longer you wait the harder it is to break the habit.
Friends Of Naked Dancing Ladies (FONDL)

I've had friends/ co workers be addicted to substances. It's hard because they won't let you in when you try to help...if it's a friend be prepared to be shut out..be paitent.
meth has become recently such a problem in fl. i know several people on that shit and they cant get off, it seems now it is worse than crack. i personally know 3 people so strung out on it. strong normal, non dancer people.one WAS an accountant, the other works for an attorney, the other WAS a dancer and is now a hooker. it like blade says is nothing to fuck with. run as fast as you can!
As quoted by Luckyone:
I asked directions from a genie in a bottle of jim beam and she lied to me.
Methodus saved my life!
How does one get off of substances through professional help that does not break the bank? Its seems that any halfway decent rehab requires you to be Robert Downey/Charlie Sheen to pay for it unless its through a criminal offense, which no one wants....
I get the feeling that the rehab industry has many parallels with the diet industry...

There is a huge thread with alot of responses about this, I think titled "taboo" or something like that. It was started as a suggestion to use meth as a diet aid but wound up a drug debate, including some references to people's experiences with drugs.
>>Edit: That's the thread. Lots of reading there.
