What kind of container do you carry your money in around the club with you?
What kind of container do you carry your money in around the club with you?

My Locker, never my person...
Depending on club rules I use a garter on stage then it goes into a purse and next chance I have to get to the dressingroom and lock it up. I have had some club not allow purses though and others have rules about how often you can be in the dressingroom but I try to keep less than $50 on my person whenever possible.

I lock it in my locker. Purses can be stolen (by customers even!) and I don't like the look of garters personally.
Let your indulgence set me free. - Shakespeare

I carry it strapped on my garter at ALL times. Too easy to get 'lost' any other way. Purses get stolen by other girls AND by customers, lockers get broken into. Hell I work with a girl who had someone steal her money from her locker by watching her do the combination and just going back later to open it up, and they even locked it back so she had no idea her money was gone until she was getting ready to leave. I'll keep it strapped on me, thank you. That way I know it's not going anywhere until I take it somewhere.
In Houston licensed dancers have to display the license on their body...usually on the ankle. The dancer shops sell little ankle-purse things that have an elastic band on them to hold them on. They have a window to display the license and a velcro'd pocket to keep money and I also keep lip gloss, Listerine pocket pack, and eye drops in it. It's really small, so it doesn't get it in the way, and no chance of it being picked or getting lost since it's attached to your body. It could be used for holding money, even if you don't need to display a license. Mine is black, and I wear it over black boots, so you can't even notice it.

a silver iridescent treasure chest purse ( sort of a hard clutch). carry it with my everywhere in the club, and have not had anything stolen in the two years i've had it. it's cute, and can hold lots of things, decreasing my trips to the dressing room for makeup touchups. plus it's heavy and would make a great weapon if needed![]()
Dancers in ATL must have a garter on at all times, and legally (though this may have changed) accepting $$ in garter is the only way we are allowed to take money. I use 2 very thick garters and a rubberband around my cash. I've only lost $$ once or twice--but it was cause I was completely drunk.

Francesca,
Where did you get your license holster as described above? I just use a rubbed band attached to my shoe...where can I find this neat little thing???

I always carry a small dressy purse with a long strap, and wear it over the shoulder style (where the strap crosses my chest). I have never lost it, and when I set it down on stage, I just place it near the pole, or somewhere away from the grasp of others. I feel naked working without it and won't walk away from it out of habit. I also use it when I go out clubbing as I am used to having it around me at all times, it is just more comfortable that way.
Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

Paris - how big is the purse? Like a purse you bought from a normal clothing store?
What do you girls see other dancers doing.
I am always running to my locker, but I would like to try a different method. Maybe something attached to the underwear??
I think the little purses the girls at my club carry are really tacky. It just reminds the customer that they are about to fill the dancer's already stuffed little bag with more of their hard earned cash.
I am partial to fancy money clips.

Call Treasures in Houston I bet the girl who owns the shop there would send one to you if you paid the shipping.

I secure my cash around my garter with rubber bands. If I am having a good night someone from the bar will bring a champaign bucket to the stage to help me round it all up till I can straighten it out and get it on my garter.

my money stays strapped to my leg!

I carried a small- cute- little purse (that looked straight out of Alice in Wonderland) for a long time. One day before work, I tried to wash it, as the light blue had gotten dirty, and I ruined it. I went a while without a purse and got used to carrying $$ on me then putting it in my locker asap. I'm afraid now that if i try to get another purse, I'll forget it.
When I'm wearing my corsett at work, I fold the money together and hold it in my top until I can get to my locker (I try not to have more than $100 on me at any given time), otherwise, I cup it in my hand. I've never lost money (knock on wood), so both using purses and not using purses seem to do well as long as you stay in a clear state of mind.

I kinda feel how mother daisy does...not that I think purses look tacky, just that I don't want to hear guys say "Look, you already have all that money! Can't you give me a discount?" or other BS.
