    Default Ingrown Hair

Ok, I have an ingrown hair in my bikini area. Is there any way to get rid of it quick? Any products that can be used on it? If so, where would I find them? Thank you!

I am a licensed esthetician so I have done this before. In fact this is the right thing to do, by the books....I know it might sound scary but here's what you do:

Go to a pharmacy and buy a box of lancets (they have a very fine needle point). Sanitize the area with alcohol, open the lancet and...if you can do it yourself, fine, but if not, have someone else do this for you: stick it into your skin right where the hair is. You will have to basically pull the hair out from under your skin through the hole you just made with the lancet. It's kind of hard to do it to yourself since you can't get close enough to really see it that well. But it is possible.

It will bleed for a minute (just a drop or two)...afterward just put some Neosporin on it and within a few hours it will look fine and the micro-sized hole you made will heal up with no scarring.

No product will make it come out and it only get worse and worse. If you don't want to do it yourself, and don't have anyone to do it for you, go to an esthetician and have them do it for you.

wow, didnt know there was a book for that. Thats what I do anyway, except I use a pin or needle, and tweezers to help pull the hair out. I do scar for a few months though, but my skin marks easily from the inside (pimples etc). But thats from before I got to it anyway, nothing I or anyone could do....

Using a lancet helps minimize scarring.

Using a product called Tend Skin after waxing and every day for a few days after, will help prevent future ingrown hairs. You can get Tend Skin in some beauty supply houses and some salons carry it. You can also order it on the Internet.

permanent hair removal is the best and its cheap about 3 treatments of $100 your skin will look better in the end without ingrown hairs, to me it looks like a STD.

I've gotten it with the Intuition razor too!!

I think its from the soap that is a part of the razor....I make sure to get my pits super super washed after shaving them..use exfoliator....cause that soap gets stuck in the crevices and causes that redness!

They went away, mostly, after I scrubbed the areas well post-shave....
