    Default makeup

regularly i prefer regular soft makeup.. something that makes my skin look smooth, flushed and covers dark circles.. then mascara, eyeliner and a light gold glimmer shadow.. rub lotion in my cheeks to make them pink.. and gloss

    i like this look
but there are times when i want to go to a club and look the cat walk look
but i dont know how i end up looking like vampira
and all that liner on my eyes .. i look hung over not fresh

anyone feel like writing down a step by step starting with the eyes.. makeup lesson for that club girl wild spicy thing look?

something like.. start with liquid black liner on inner rims of lower lashes.. then smoky black eyeliner smudge under lower lashes.. blah blah?

or maybe a close up picture of your eyeball with cool makeup? i look at mags and the beauty makeup sites but they seem generic..

one tip I learned....make sure if you do smokey eyes, do have the shadow point in an upward direction on your lid. Keeps it looking alert rather than tired.

I don't know about everyone else, but I think liquid liner usually looks too hard. I really prefer the look of wet eyeshadow.

Dunno, maybe i am different, but i like the "less is better" look. Fresh face, light blush and light lips with a light smokey liner, i am set.

I love love love playing with my eyes! I'm not huge on makeup but when I go for it, I really experiment!

I ALWAYS put liner on before mascara because it's easier to apply then.

I'll just talk about one technique I do for my eyes, you can replace the colours but when I do, I prefer the stronger colour for the ''wings'' effect:

I put a very thin film of vaseline on the lids (up until the fold of my lid to avoid crease and a little past the edge of my eye because I love the ''wing effect'&#039 and inner corners of my eyes with a lipbrush and a matted eyeliner brush respectively. It helps my makeup stay and normally makes the colour much more vibrant.
Next, I may put on a sparkly pink eyeshadow (this one I use is from MAC, a gift from a fellow dancer and MAC fanatic ) just and only covering the eyelid.
Then I use a bolder pink (it's actually a rich rouge for cheeks which was given to me but is too bright for my shade of skin!) and blend this into the MAC pink from the outer corner of my eye and create the ''wing'' effect.
Then I put on nearly black eyeliner on my upper lid but only from the middle to the edge to enhance the almond shape of my eyes.
Then I use a wet look eye liner in vibrant green (rimmel) and colour the inner corners of my eyes.
Then I give my eyes a generous lashing with the mascara, only the upper lids though and I lash in the direction from inner corner to outer edge (enhances the almond shape even more).
Then I dust my brow bone with shimmery translucent eye powder.

I know it sounds a little mad, but I LOVE the effect! And it looks good even under the dark lights of a nightclub. I use a lot of colours and I LOVE the ice-princess look (I use silver mascara or tip my eyelashes with silver glitter and dot the inner corners of my eyes with white eye cream).

OK, enough or I'll go overboard!!

I put foundation on my eyes when I put it on my face, and then I use a dark dark brown pencil and darken the inner lids all the way around. On the top lid, I use the eyeliner on the outer 1/4th, pulling it up at the edge and then darkening that line into the line on the bottom, too. Then I take a shimmery color and brush it onto my eyelid, browbone, and middle of the space in between. Then I take a darker brown (has to be dark to show up in the club) and run it from my inside lid along the crease and up the line from the eyeliner to just a little before the eyebrow. Then I darken, widen, and blend blend blend until I have the effect I want - cat eyes. Then I use a thick mascara that makes big almost fake looking lashes.

Miss George, I work in the UK, have worked in a few clubs but am currently on a dancing break. I really just experiment with what makeup I have. I love playing with my eyes but I hate fake 'lashes and 'lash curlers.

I like to create my own styles and tips but I still like to look at fashion mags for some refreshing ideas. But if I go heavy on eyes, I wear a plain gloss in a natural shade. Otherwise I just go with eyeliner and tons of mascara (no eyeshadow, or a down-to-earth shade) and really glossy lips in a daring shade. Gotta keep the balance
