Default Making the segue into a sale

I don't do so bad at conversation with guys. I like to talk and I am smart and have done a lot for being only 23 so I can relate to a lot. I get compliments a lot on seeming smart or whatever.
My problem is getting to the "can I dance for you?" part. I don't want to just butt-in with that if we are talking about cars or something, but I don't want to waste the whole night talking for free! What are some ways that you think are subtle, polite, and effective?

This is why I think "intelligent conversation" is hurtful. You can be witty, but just stay sexy and flirty. It makes it a lot easier to make the transition when you want to pop the question.

Save the more engaging conversation for when you get him back to keep him back.

I had a feeling about that really. Sometimes the guys will keep pushing the "You're so smart!" thing, and sometimes I am like "What did you EXPECT me to be?"

Maybe they just don't see me as a "stripper."

    Thanks!

Okay, so I am having a great conversation with an interesting guy, but in the side pocket of my mind I am thinking, "money, need that money, not getting a paycheck here....need to dance...good conversation, but not getting paid for it, must dance..."

Yep, know exactly that position, the only way I get around that road block, is wait until you have that paused moment, and break the small moment of silence with, "so where do I get the pleasure of dancing for you? after all that's what I am here to do." I say that one all cutesy and innocently, or "I LOVE this song, (even if I don't), please I have to dance to it!" That one is if I have established good communication with them.
Or, for the most part, I simply let them know that I am having an absolute great time talking with them, but unfortunaletly I am here to make money. They will either understand and tell you to come back when you need a break, or even offer to pay for your time, which is even better.
That's about it for my advise at the moment.

    Good luck!
If you don't like me for who I am, it doesn't matter, because I do.

The type of conversation you have is very key. You should always be very polite, ask about them and provide a little about you. It should be fun, light, seductrive (but not sleezy) and entertaining conversation. While you are having it though, you need to focus on the fact that everything you say and the way you guide the discussion should always be directed in a way that ill ultimately make you money.

If a conversation has become to technical or to serious I'll turn it around by using a double entendre. If you are talking about cars maybe something like "That's why I love driving sticks...IF I can't control that baby in my hand it's a total waste of a drive. I want to know I'm directing every single movement of that monster truck" or something similar. Once his eyes light up (and they will), you close in for the kill..... "Let me show you some of my best maneuvers"

I've get a lot of the you are so smart reply's (backwards compliments) from customers but don't look at it as a negative. I turn my smart and witty convo into smart, witty and sexy when I'm working and let it make my money for me.

I think chemistry is the best deal closer. When you can find something you love about a customer you will look and feel warmer and happier about spending time with him. It doesn't matter if it's his name, his tie or, his passion for travel, just find something. Get your customer laughing, give him a big hug and he'll say yes to a dance. Stay cheery instead of stressed. It's an infectious device to make him and any customers watching feel a Need to 'experience' you.

I get the same thing... usually I'll politely excuse myself in some manner "oh excuse me, it's time for a costume change... i'll be right back" or "i think i'm coming up on stage soon, let me check/let me tell the DJ what song to play for me"... then i'll walk by him and ask if he'd like a dance in a few seconds

I'm with Emily on this one. I am a talker too and had to learn the hard way not to get too much into conversation with new customers, it's just harder to get the dance after that - either because you've created a less sexual image of yourself in his mind or because once it gets too interesting no matter how you phrase it, asking for a dance is an unpleasant interruption.

Best to keep the conversation light and flirty at first. Save the better stuff for when you've either gotten him into VIP or he's come back to see you again. It's a gradual thing. Keep a bit of mystery about you - you don't tell a guy your whole life story when you first start dating because it ruins the fun and mystery. Same thing with customers.

And make sure you don't let more than a couple songs pass before asking for the dance. Depending on the type of club and dances offered, you should either ask by the end of the song playing when you first approached, or by the end of 2, maybe 3 songs at MOST. The answer won't change if you spend more time than that.

Think about what women do when we are flirting with a man that we are ginuinely interested in. Even if you have a serious conversation with him, don't treat him like he's your debate partner. Touch him on the leg when he makes a good point. Toss your hair back and smile at him. Make eyes with him and get up close when he's talking to you. Watch his mouth move while he is talking and lick your lips. Gently touch your chest (kind of like when you have a small itch) to attract attention to your breasts. Men are visual creatures and body language can be the best indicator of what you are thinking. You don't always have to spell it out with words. Wouldn't it be awesome if you could make a man think that he is turning you on with a simple conversation. Then at a good moment, interupt him and tell him how much the conversation has made you so anxoius that you just have to dance for him. You just can't help it. If you flirt like that he should be ready for a dance.

Ok are you ready to find out just how good a dance this smart girl can give.

I could talk about xxxx all day but then you would be missing out on my awesome dances, are you ready to see what your missing?

2 quick ones but I'm sure you can think of plenty more.

I once had a girl after a good talk turn to me and ask "Are you ready for the best dance of your life?". Damn I was on the spot and no chance I could say no to the best dance of my life, hehe. If I said no I might wonder if I really did miss the best one ever, haha.

Be creative, it will throw the guys off.
