    Default Completely newbie questions

Hello everyone.I live in Tallhassee, FL where strip clubs are illegal so the nearest one is in Panama City (PC). I plan to start dancing in July when I go there for the summer. I've been lurking around lately trying to see if any of my curiosities have already been satisfied. Some have and some haven't so I was wondering if you all would help me out a little bit.

I'm a 153lb black girl who's weight is mostly in her hips and thighs. The thing is on my butt, thighs, and on the backs of my knees I have stretchmarks from where I've lost and gained weight repeatedly. So I was wondering if you all knew of any ways I could get rid of them effectively? Also my butt has started going south a little and I was wondering if there were any ways to "quickly" tone it up a little.

Also I have no rhythm I mean I can shake my butt a little but all of the extra I can't do and the regular routines I don't know how to do. I bought "The S Factor" and am studying it but I was wondering if I asked a dancer in PC to show me a few things before I started would they mind?

All of the dancers I've seen have long hair. My hair is a medium neck length because it's so damaged it won't grow. Is long hair required? If not, what are some things I could do with it?

Makeup. I have never worn makeup unless it was for a dance recital (only had two don't remember much) and even then my sister put it on for me. Can someone give me tips on what looks good on dark-skinned girls and how to apply it?

One more thing. I know the I have to pay the house for me being there, but I wanted to know who gets what or how much and if I don't make much how do I pay them? How much do I get to keep and how do I make my money if I'm renting out my space?

Ladies your replies and advice will be greatly appreciated. I'm sorry if this is a lot but I just want to have a little more knowledge of things before I start. I look forward to getting to know all of you and hopefully being able to give advice one day.

Or Should I just not even try?

Hey FLAGurl, I feel your pain :'(, , Im a black female too, I have rythym, but I have been practicing (I bought the S factor too) and I feel I dont have enough moves for two songs. I dont know what to tell you about the stretch marks, although from what I seen, men dont notice them to much (if at all). However, Im sure there are some great ass toning tips on this site, if I run across any of them I will send them to you.
About hair, (dont you just hate is sometimes), I dont have extremlely long hair either.

What I do, is I go buy some human hair, and bobby pins, and a scunchie. I pull all of my natural hair back in to a pony tail with a black band (not a rubber band, this one has no rubber in at all you can find it in drug stores.)After that I put the scrunchie around the band, then I take the human hair extention( make sure you cut it in half) pin it at the begining, wrap it around the pony tail, pin again in the middle if needed, continue to wrap it and pin it at the end. Viola!...you have a nice long ponytail, that looks great, cheap, and since it is human hair, you can curl, it staighten it, crimp it whatever. Most people think it is my real hair. And when I go to the clubs as a customer, the guys are checking me out, all races (big plus)...so it must not be too bad.
Now, make-up on a dark-skinned girl...hmmm...Im light-skinned, so Im not sure if you mean like kelly roland dark, or brandy dark... for the eyes I would say black out line with a smokey gray eye shadow...or nice lavander eye shadow, I only do lip gloss, So I cant help you there. I you have the time go to a department store and ask them abot make-up for a night on the town.
As far as the house goes it is differ for every state, so hopefullly some ladies from your area can help you out.

I hope I didnt put you to sleep with this, post. Good Luck, Im sure you will do fine.

Pole Kitten...one nice thing about dancing is that you could have 3 moves you do really well and they will take you through the whole 2 songs. The reason being is that you are going to be m-o-v-i-n-g v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y. You will exaggerate each and every movement to be as sensual as possible. After a while, your "stripper" self will come through and you'll just find moves you never knew you had...don't worry...once you get up on stage you'll laugh at how much time and effort you put forth into getting "prepared".

As for stretch marks...everyone's got 'em from either growth, weight, or babies. Men don't notice or care, and those that do...screw them. If you would feel better having them covered...then you can always try dermablend. http://www.dermablend.com

    Good luck!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

PoleKitten- I had thought about that for my hair but I didn't know how well it would work or what not. But now that you've mentioned it, it gives me the green light.

VenusGoddess- Thank you for telling me about dermablend. I even got lucky and found a place in my town that sells it. Yay. Is it very effective and can be used on any part of the body?
