    Default BRUISED!!

Hi dolls!! Ok, yesterday was Tuesday & I auditioned... and... .... .... I got hired! The club's small, & doesn't get much attention I spose. I only had 2 customers all night, and only took home $68 cash (after tipouts & house fee/percentages). All good though...cept I have enormous bruises on my knees!!! :'( They hurt! I think it was well worth it though - cos I kicked ass on stage. The bouncer swore I had to have worked at dancing before, but no no - I haven't. I was told I look great on stage too! Yay! Ooh, & it was kinda funny - cos one of my customers I went to HS with! Ahahaha. He said I sucked at lapdances (yet he bought 3). Mhmm. I know I'm not the dandiest...but I'll pick up tricks & whatnot along the way. I know I won't stay at this club for more than a month - I'm just staying so I can get over my newbie learnings & etc. Is that bad?? I don't think so. I kinda feel bad about this, cos my manager's awesome! He's really helpful & kind...and not creepy / perverted. The bartender didn't say much, but she was kind when she did...and the bouncer's funny. He likes punk music, mostly the same bands I do. Woo! Anyways, so yeah, I believe I got the bruises from when I was down on my hands & knees showing my stuff. Anyone else ever had/have this problem!? I hope so. Any lap dance tips too? Like what to do, etc, etc? I have kind of a lil space to work with & I'm real tall & etc... toodlez for now! xo xo Nekko.

I've got bruises on my knees, upper thighs, lower back, and like RIGHT above my ass. That was after my first 3 nights of dancing. I dunno what else to do till our bodies get used to it- just cover it w/ make up. I need help w/ lap dances too.

Can you avoid going on your knees?

If you really want to spread your legs to the audience, what I think you should do is slide your back down the pole while extending your legs out....basically landing butt first on the floor (but smoothly, of course)

Then you can lay on your back and do stuff.

You can probably get away with kneeling a little, but don't do too much bouching or rolling around on them or you will get bruises.

In my opinion, the bruises aren't worth it. It loosk street walker and you can still put on a good performance without banging up your legs.

Don't cover it up with makeup....it rubs off on the customers and you can still tell there are dark spots most of the time.

What do you need help with on the lap dances? I think it's best to see what other girls are doing, esp the ones selling multiple dances.

My boyfriend was worried that if I had had to go to the ER one weekend [had infection, got antibiotics from doctor but he said 'if it gets worse, go to the ER'] he, the boyfriend, would get arrested, I had so many bruises on my legs, knees, hips, back... Right now I'm getting them from pole tricks, trying to cut down on the mistakes that result in such.

I looked like a freaken' battlefield when I first started dancing. I still get bruises a bit here and there, but eventually you'll toughen up and they won't be so reaccuring. Just make sure you're getting all the right vitamins and soak in epson (sp?) salt in a nice warm bath. Baby your skin as much as possible, and eventually it shouldn't be a problem any more.

As far as LD's go, you'll discover your knack and figure out what works best for you. Definately observe others when you can, but hey, you're brand new, you can't learn it all in a week!

My problem w/ LD's is the contact. I'm still not comfortable touching guys. So far I haven't had anyone try and touch me- I tell them NO Contact before I start and they've been good. But in states like CT where one-way contact is allowed, these guys want me all over them. My ass does brush against like their leg or something- nothing too dramatic, not like the other girls are doing. I just feel very uncomfortable touching someone. I love putting on a "show", but when contact is involved, it just feels too real to me- err, I guess I just gotta get over it if I wanna make some money $$$$$$$

You may become numb to the contact, but to start you out, maybe jsut use your hands. Rub them on his checst, legs, scratch his head and hold his hand....that type of thing. It's should be less intimate than the dry humping

Sounds like you like the club, why MUST you leave so soon? What's the rush?

I thought makeup was a genious idea until I actually tried it. Big Mistake.
Men in their nicest going out clothes do not appriciate them ruined by makeup or have their significan others see some girls makeup all over their pants.

Put on some stocking or something to hide the bruises for now and try to avoid your knees. Distribute your weight evenly no matter what position you are in.

Are you getting enough iron, anemic people bruise very easily.

Act like you love LDs and read through hustle hut for sales tactics.

LOL My first week was hell when I first started. I automatically loved the pole, and floor work, but oh boy, did my body pay for it. I was definitely the "walking wounded". My knees were the ones that took the beatings most. I never thought those bruises would go away. Plus, I got water-on-the-knee from it all.. ugh.. lol.. Something I did though, was use thigh-highs for a while. They covered the bruises and helped to prevent more.

What Megan is suggesting is definitely a great idea! Soaking in a nice warm bath with epson salts did the trick for me.

You will become accustomed to dancing in time, your body will toughen up and you'll become less likely to bruise or injure yourself. But until then, just take it easy and baby yourself.

    Hang in there hon.

I've been dancing for three weeks, and my knees are still covered with bruises. I agree about the iron. I've been anemic before and probably am now, too. They do hurt, but ice packs help. My club is so dark no one can tell. I'm still waiting for them to "toughen up." Good luck!

Woo, love that so much has been said - anywho - so I'm still a bit sore, and I took yesterday off & I go back in tonight... I think I'll do fine & I'll just stick to doing lil "simple" & "soft" moves for now. I bought a real cute checkered outfit yesterday & thigh highs to match, so my bruises will be covered. My friend thinks I should just stick to thigh highs not only for the begining to cover my bruises - but just as "my look"...I kinda like it. Anyways, I'm still a bit nervous, cos I know my club's going to be busier tonight, since it's Thursday & nearing the end of the week. I'm a lil nervous, cos yeah - lapdances + body soreness = funny! Haha, yeah. Plus, yeah... I'm still a lil shy of the customers. All good though. Ooooh, & I forgot...but earlier someone asked why I was going to leave the club I'm at if I seem to enjoy it so much... The wonderful answer to that is, I believe it's not busy enough. Cos I know of 3 strip clubs that are kinda always packed...and mine's well kinda always empty until the weekend. It prolly doesn't help that my clubs kinda set off aside and not in the area the others are n etc. But yeah, I would like to work at the busier ones (for money purposes, course)... and this club just doesn't allow too much cash flow because of it's location & etc. I mean, it's nice & wonderful for me to get all my moves & learnings down... But yeah, hopefully in a month or so - I'll move to the BIGGER clubs. Anywho - I'm off for now with this post, toodlez - xo Nekko.

I've been dancing for about a month and a half (usually three times a week) and I still have bruises all over my body. I don't think they show up too bad in the stage lights so I'm not that worried about how they look, just how they feel. I hope my body toughens up soon.

When you do floor work try to slide more than you stomp or slam your knees. Practice at home on your kitchen floor crawling. You'll become more sensitive to your body's position. Don't shave your knees so that your tender skin is a little more protected. Try creating a floorwork routine that uses extension like a ballet dancer. Lie on your back and lift your leg to show the audience. Crouch down knees on the floor and extend your torso back to show the crotch or forward to show the chest. You can lie back and arch your back a' la Jennifer Lopez to show a great chest. You can roll into a humping or waggling position. Just try to think of staying in harmony with the floor and gravity, not working against it. With polework you can gain strength in the gym and then you'll be much stronger pulling yourself up or grasping with your thighs. Weight training does wonders. And when you know you want to do a really angry or raw routine you can switch into boots or thigh high socks to cushion or protect your skin. Any dance move that bruises you you should throw out because that means your joints and cartilage are taking a beating.

Yep, try the vitamin k, there are a few diferent forms of it so choose your faveand remember to take vitamins ,drink water, slather on cocoa butter lotion when your not working and try not to get so excited on stage that you bounce all over the place like a mc hammer backup dancer. Slow and sexy works em every time. When you move too fast, guys cant get a good look at anything and they will give up watching you and look at something else if your just a blur in the flashing lights bruising yourself up.

So, I'm still getting some bruises here & there. Most were from playing soccer the other night... But...I dunno, I just think my skin's too tender? I dunno if that's the right word. Or maybe it's just cos I'm so pale? Hm... I dunno... I'm gonna try cocoa butter & vitamin K. Do you dolls think if I tan that maybe it'll help? LOL, I dunno. Maybe I should stop playing rough sports. Heheh, toodlez.

I am quite the pale one myself so i buy this stuff called sally hansen airbrush legs. Its airbrush makeup that goes on your legs .looks completly natural and dries in 30 to 60 seconds,(much faster than a self tanner and looks extremely real) You wont be disappointed with it. It kinda blurs bruises, doesnt cover them completly, but will give your legs a sexy smooth streamlined look. I use it every time i work and it doesnt rub off. It also contains vitamin k to create healthy skin and will help bruises and veins go down fast. If your really concerned about hiding your bruises completly, id go with sexy hose of some type and stay kind to your legs when dancing even though you play soccer just so you rule out 1 kind of abuse. Thus increasing your healing time. Luv ya!

Hey Nekko, if you cant find a sally beauty supply store, they usually sell it in any drug store like walgreens and they sell it at fred meyers too. It costs 10.00 here in washington and should be the same where you are. If you still cant find it look online but i dont know if they do sell it online or not. I just get it at fred meyers.
