    Default Great Lengths Extensions?

Hey, just wanted to get some info about Great Lengths Extensions if anyone reading this has had them done or knows someone who has. A non-dancer friend of mine has asked me about them, but all I know about them is that Britney and Jessica Simpson have had them done.

Are they available nationwide? Do they use real hair? How do they attach it and how long does it take? Cost?

    Any info would be appreciated!

    Hi Nina--

I had Great Lengths extensions put in my hair about four months ago and I LOVE them! My hair was dyed blonde, damaged, and had weird layers so I cut off a few inches and got 18'' extensions done.

They've helped my hair grow out more healthy, so I'd say that they have been a worthwhile investment. I feel so much sexier dancing with the long blonde hair. And we all know how important it is to be confident at work.

My extensions cost $1600 but the price really depends on the salon and the length of the hair. My stylist told me that the price in California can be as high as $4000.

The extensions are made from real hair and shippped from India, so that is what makes them tres cher. The small sections of hair are attached with a polymer bond that can be adhered with either heat or the new cold fusion method. It's a time consuming procedure but not uncomfortable to sit through. Mine took about six hours to do a full head of hair.

I would definitely check out the link to the website that Seraya posted. It's helpful and explains everything.
