    Default Any Harley riders?

Welp......the riding season is about on us........so I thought that I would see how many are Harley riders/owners?

I got mine 2 years ago, and love it to death. I say it's a hell of a lot cheaper then going to the 'shrink' Of course........I have one of the best venues to ride at also (Colorado Rockies).

Oh yea....have a XL1200C 2002 Jade Pearl. More chrome to buy this year.....if the house doesn't kill me first.

    So........anyone else out there?

I don't have a license to ride a bike, you need a bike license in Florida. But my roomie builds Harley's. Owns 2 and i ride them, but they are not moving. I actually lay on harley's, and have my picture taken.

    I love a Panhead! Actually all Harley's!

Geez Pam. Sorry you didn't come to Daytona for Bike Week. I bet you could have gotten tipped by the guys just for laying on their bikes and having your picture taken. lol.

Does riding on the back count? The Ol' man's got a 69 shovel head. It's currently in the shop getting stretched and raked. It's driving him crazy cause Va's starting to get those nice riding days!

I zoom and swoop on a Honda.

The Harleys don't offer what I want in a bike. But Hondas don't offer what Harley riders want in a bike. That's cool. I wave at everybody on two wheels and a motor.

I don't ride a harley or "Cruiser"... but I ride a "crotch rocket"... a Kawasaki ZX-900 and a Yamaha R6... I know, I know... we are supposed to be rivals on bikes, but I look at it this way. We are all on 2 wheels, why can't we all get along. I ride with people that ride all different kinds of bikes. A motorcycle is a motorcycle, they just look different.

Ugh, crotch rockets... I have nothing against the bikes themselves, but the people they have a tendency to attract (certainlynot ALL people, of cource, so please don't take offense). But it's always the assholes on the racing-type bikes that are on the regular roads racing and acting like assholes and endangering the lives of everyone else. It's a generaliztion, sure, but the people on cruisers.. Well, all they really do is cruise and bother no one.
I know... I hate those jerks too... it's those guys that make me look bad. I just love the style of bike and the feel... if I do want to race, I do it at a track or at a designated spot with officials, and medics, and RULES!!! (we have 2 here in San Diego)... So I understand where you are coming from and no, I don't take offense

If it has two wheels.....I always wave. Even if it's a.....(gasp) Scooter......hehehehehe

I used to work at a hotel in Nebraska right on the line up to Sturgis. Spent many a hour talking with bikers of all ages, race, backgrounds, and personalities. And I got along with all of them. I think that if you have a common thing to talk with people about.......you can find some really good friends.

And I understand about the weather. It's 80 degrees here in Northern Colorado....and supposed to be in the upper 60's/lower 70's all next week. I think that it's time to bring the beast out (that's the bike......not my pecker. hehehehhe)

Hubby's got a '67 shovelhead, I have an '82 sporster. Problem is though, he's in the process of rebuilding my bike and keeps getting sidetracked with helping everyone else, plus with losing my license for six months, I won't be riding the damn thing anyway!
