    Default this sucks...

i really love my job so far.. i am comfortable with dancing and stuff. but i am doing horribly.. after tip out i am left with just enough money to buy a mcdonalds happy meal. i dont know what i am doing wrong. i am one of the prettiest females in my club..and i have a good personality. i dance pretty well and look as though i enjoy what i am doing. i get rather nervous because i am black dancing at a very upscale white gentlemens club. i would imagine that i would make money there, but i dont think i am the type of girl the guys want. a guy wont want a dance from me, and then 15 minutes later i see a skinny blonde dancing for him. i am expecting rejection so i dont try anymore. what strategy should i go to work with? i feel as though i am wasting my time because i am not making any money .. and i have been working about a month. i really enjoy when there are black guys there because i can relate with them easier and the music is more my taste. should i try going to a black club to dance and see how it is and if my money increases? i want too, but i want to give my club a chance, it is really upscale and beautiful.... i am in a slight money emergency right now, i need to fix my car and i am not making nearly enough money to do that!! help me!

    Read the hustle hut stuff.

By all means check out the other club.

If you want to stay at the one you are at then ask the other dancers for advice and a helping hand. Maybe you think you are comfortable, but you are really projecting an image of discomfort and low-selfconfidence because your nights are going so poorly.

Work the new angle, tell every guy you are a virgin lap dancer and you need them to pop your cherry or something like that.

Girl - I feel the same way you do - I am currently in the same boat! I am a pretty Mexican girl covered w/ tattoos and I dance to stuff like Rob Zombie and what not - well the club that I'm at is a bootie shaking club- Being latin I can surley shake it but because I come off as being hard-core punk - I can't sell dances. I feel the same way you do and I have been told that I am a hot girl - Like u I'm stuck. Ladies what shall we do. I like going to work and I am happy all the time and the girls that have a horrible attitude and sulk because its slow make more money than I do. Please help us .

Bun and Thong...I suggest that both of you have more than one club to work at if at all possible. Getting stuck on one club is a mistake especially if the club isn't treating you well.

Being new sucks, but after a month you should have a small collection of reg's . Coming across as hard-core anything is usually not good. Anything you can do to soften and feminize your look should help. I don't know what kind of time you have but if you have extra time try these helpful tricks:

Get on Yahoo chat and start meeting guys in your area and pulling them into the club. Or use the Singles phone lines.

Dress up sexy and go "car shopping." Tell every car salesman you are a stripper and where you work. Under the guise of looking for a car you may generate some biz.

Hit the adult section of magazine and bookstores or go to adult stores. Carry business cards and hand them out when the occasion arises.

Most of all...hustle, hustle, hustle! Talk to every guy in the club and read Hustle Hut. Risk rejection, risk looking stupid, risk pissing the guy off.

You will be amazed what happens!
You get what you put up with

Actually, if you are not paid by the club to be there, the law requires that you have at least two sources of income to be considered an independent contractor, and not an employee. And although most clubs would prefer that you leave town to work at another club, they can't really stop you (legally) from dancing at another club on a regular basis.

The clubs in Reno have a bad habit of keeping the girl's sheriff card, thereby preventing them from dancing at another club. Things are a little different in Nevada compared to the rest of the US however.

A big thing with getting the guys to notice you is your music while on stage. You have to play to your audience. I worked with a beautiful balck dancer in Montana, who made bank every night. Montana is known for being very racist. She would wear a cowboy outfit and dance to country music. She would also dance to butt rock, and the guys loved her music, they sat up and took notice, and got dance after dance from her.

I know that many girls feel like if the guys don't like her music, screw them. But this is where they are going to have fun, and this is where you are working. I frequently dance to music I don't like, but the customers love it and I make money because they are feeling good. Thursday night the DJ played the theme to "Dukes of Hazzard" for a girl who really doesn't like that kind of thing, but as soon as the song got started her stage filled up with customers who were otherwise really boring all night long, and she made $60 in 7 minutes.

Just food for though. And read a lot in Hustle hut. There is great advice there as well.

Good luck and make lots of money$$$
    Paris Love
