    Default Opening Club--Need Entertainers

HI--- I posted on another site, but thought I'd drop a note here too. I'm Devon Michaels and I've been an exotic dancer for almost 16 years now. I tour as a feature, have done adult magazines, fitness magazines, and xxx videos . Now I'm co-owner of a new club in Peoria, IL.
It's called Elliott's and it's a nude, no-contact club. Stage is just topless, and tableside topless or nude, so you have the option of not going nude at all if you don't want o.
We're looking for entertainers to help us with the grand-opening. I"ll be there for the entire first month, and then two weeks per month thereafter.
Anyway, if you're interested, please drop me an email.
    [email protected]
We'll be covering airfare ( or if you're closeby, gas money), hotel, transportation to and from work, and license fees.
    Email me with any questions----

Hello Devon thanks for the post.
Not to sound like a starstruck fan but I've been in lust with you for years!

When will the grand opening be held?

How much will the dances cost?

Any info on the size and layout of the club (champagne or V.I.P. rooms)?

How many dancers are you looking for?

Is this club a brand new facility or a new opening/new mangmt type deal?

Just a few general questions I'm sure a lot others want answers to.

    Thanks Nina, that's really sweet!!
I can't believe I forgot the date!!! Our grand opening is April 15th. We're looking for about 20-30 entertainers. It's not a huge club, so we won't be running 100 girls a night or anything. In fact, our plan is to be the smaller, more homey, friendly, fun environment.
We have not set dance prices yet, but they will be under $20. It's part of our business model to keep dances constantly flowing, so entertainers don't have to spend 4 songs wasting money trying to talk one guy into one song. Plus it keeps the club looking fun, active.
We do not have a VIP section. These are NOT lapdances, rather tableside, no contact dances. "Back in the day" there was an invisible line from the knee up. You didn't have to grind ( and I'm not being a prude, I've done my share of contact dances!!!) to make money and buys bought tons of dances.
Our focus is constant energy on the floor. One or two merchandise dances here and there, but not so many you feel like you're always trying to sell.
We will not be taking a portion of the dance money and for the opening month, there is no house fee. What you make is yours aside from $5 for merchandise dance and $10 deejay tipout.
So, I think that covers it. Tableside, no-contact dances, topless only on stage, topless or nude tableside (no spreads).
We're still debating on hair/makeup guy. I have a great one, but do girls really use them?
The club was an existing restaurant. It's situated in a great area--- about 10 car dealerships and two factories within blocks---safe neighborhood. We ran it as a restaurant up until Dec., and it's been a very popular lunch and afterwork spot for over 20 years. A third of the club must remain restaurant per zoning laws--note the drive-thru sign! It falls on the restaurant property line, so technically we have to advertise food on it. That side is separated and there's no dancing over there, though you can go eat, hang out, so long as you're covered.
We will be the first 18 and over club in the area, and we've had tons of emails from excited college boys--
We'll have features once a month--magazine and XXX stars.
So I think that covers it---
I can't guarantee a fortune, but we have had a lot of customer inquiries. My partners both have over 20 years each in adult entertainment and nightclub, and I've been dancing 16 years. WE believe that if you don't gauge the girls OR the customers--- the guys spend happily and the girls are happy too.
Let me know if I can answer anything else---
Look at our site, but remember, we are renovating--we totally gutted the inside of the building so the pix still look like big construction piles!!! The carpet goes in tomorrow and then everything really starts rolling. We put up constr. pix so the locals will know--hey we're working. There's been a lot of press about "the new club in town" in newspaper and on tv here. It was a big zoning debate, which we won, and lots of extra free publicity for us over the squabble.

The outside will be spruced up too, and I picked out the cutest leopard carpet. Saw it in a Spearmint Rhino and had to have it! LOL!!!
Hoping to get great men's mag coverage of the opening too.

Our square footage is a total of 6000, 1500 of that being restaurant. Not huge, but big enough. The stage is small to get more seating in and there is just one stage. We have seating for 100.

Hi Devon!- I've been a fan of yours for years; even before you started doing porn. I think it's great that a
dancer has an ownership interest in her own club. Best
of luck and much success in your new venture!

Thanks so much. Yes, it's very scary. Took practically every penny I've socked away, but I did a lot of research and I have good partners, so I think it's going to be great! Thanks for the support!!!

Hi, Devon Michaels. I just saw your post on the Blue site and then here. I've been wondering when Elliot's was going to open. I work at Al's. I know we're competition, but I wish you luck. I will stop in as a customer when you open. I'm curious if you know what your house fee will be after the first month? I've never danced anywhere other than Al's and am comfortable there. I predict you'll get a good group of dancers though. Especially women looking for less contact than is becoming the increasing norm in the other clubs. Take care.

Hi sweetie--- you are welcome to stop by anytime of course. Al's was the first club I ever worked at and I love that place. I don't really consider it a competition thing. There's plenty of room for another club in town. Plus, we're 18 and over, so it's different. We ( at Al's) were worried that Cabaret would steal our biz when they opened way back when, but found there were plenty of girls and customers to go around. I like Al and Kathy a lot, so it wasn't about trying to take anything away, just a good business opportunity for me.
The house fee after will be $35 BUT the thing is , if you work all your scheduled shifts, then you get $25 back for each shift, making your housefee $10. It will be a two-week check, which will make it a little easier to do taxes hopefully. That's the plan as of now. So, if you work five shifts a week, you'll get a check for $250.
Everything else will remain the same.

Sounds very very cool, Devon. I used to live in Illinois (Zion area). It's too bad I'm back in Rhode Island now, or I'd definitely be interested. Hubby and baby need me here. But I do wish you all the luck in the world and great success for your business.. It sounds great! I also like that you've gone into detail when giving the information out. I'm sure some other ladies on here will definitely be able to do it.

    Take care and Good luck!

Got em!!! You are totally cute. I'm really excited because so far everyone that has sent pictures has been really pretty and even more important, really sweet. I could still use a couple more as a few couldn't come until the beginning of May. It's shaping up really well though. Thank you all so much!
    Love,
    Devon

Hi Devon - Are you still looking for a couple more ladies? I might be interested.

I live in Iowa - but the very first place I ever danced was amateur night at Big Al's when I was in college at B.U..... ah, to be young again LOL. Anyway, it would be great to be back in P-town for a little while again.

How long are you looking for your dancers to stay and work full-time?

    Thx..
    Kali

I started dancing at Big Al's too, when I went to Bradley. I just moved back here last year. Yes, we are. Why don't you email me a couple of pictures to [email protected] . What part of Iowa? We are asking for a two-week commitment.
    Thanks!
