Default How do "Girls" feel about dating male strippers?

Okay, this question is inspired by babybianca's thread on "How do guys feel about dating strippers?".

How do you girls feel about dating male strippers?

    1. If you are both in the same industry.
    2. If you have quit and he is still in the industry.

i would never be jelous because they pay you money to tempt them so the chances of a stripper and a customer hooking up are slim to none. plus the customer looks up to you and would you really want to be in a relationship where you aren't on the same level. ???

I have not only dated, but I married a male stripper. If I were single again, I would probably date another male stripper (I have a couple in mind ). The big problem in our house was only one bathroom, and one full length mirror, so we moved to a bigger house, and now there is no problem.

I only had one time I was jealous of his dancing, and it wasn't the dancing that made me jealous, it was the situation. We were in the early stages of our realtionship, and he gave a private show to a girl that he had dated in the past. It wasn't even so much that, but this was the girl that ended his first marriage (he had an affair with her). So I told him I was totally uncomfortable with him doing that kind of thing with her, and he never did it again. It wasn't like anything really happened between them in the course of the show, I was just upset because of who he was dancing for, not the dancing itself.

However, if it was a real life situation (not a stripper situation), I would have been more upset, because money wouldn't have been exchanged. The fact that it was a financial transaction made the situation easier to swallow.

Do you guys share selling strategies at the dinner table? That must be very interesting to have insights to both worlds and you can practice on each other to fine tune the art of seduction.

Actually Paris' situation should make for a great stable relationship. People who are involved with each other who are in similar careers and lifestyles have higher chances of the relationship lasting.

If more people in our career would focus on guys who are comfortable and understanding of dancing lots of dancers wouldn't have so many "man" troubles.

It's kind of hypocritical to say we wouldn't, right?

Tampa, just because you see girls all around you doing extras, do you? Exactly, so give a guy the benefit of the doubt. It just so happens that a lot of male strippers I've met are cokeheads, but I don't base my opinion of them in general of that.

A boyfriend of mine stripped for a while and it created no problems in the relationship. He picked up a little extra cash and we got to trade some great stories. He also said it enabled him to be less judgemental about my job and a lot of what we put up with.

It comes down to not passing judgement based on a person solely because of their job.

I now have my lifetime membership card for the local Girls Nite Out show. We kept buying lap dances for the birthday girl. He was yummy looking! But the MC kept chastising him, "Charles! Stop grinding your dick on her!" As hilarious as that was, I don't want my man to rub his weiner on other girls.

    OK so I'm a hypocrite.

He would have to be one hell of a trustworthy guy.

For me, if a drunken customer were to start rubbing my crotch I'd slap him senseless and feel sick. But when a male dancer has a cute drunk chic start rubbing on him.... 9 times out of 10 I think the man will go for it. It's completely different for men than for women. It would me feel dirty to have a customers hands on me, but men will mostly just get horny given the same situation.

So unless he's convinced me of his 100% devotion to me, I'd have to say no.

like i said NINA, id REALLY have to trust him!!! What i was saying that i see other girls at work preforming extras, therefore i would really have to trust that he wasn't like that! Obviously not all girls do that. hell i'd say less then 20 percent do at my club.

and i totally agree that it is different for a hot chick to rub up against a guy and for them to "get into it"

a hot guy rubs up on me, i put his hands elsewhere,, im taken and happy.

i trust my guy.. dont get me wrong, but in a sitation where he makes his living dancing sexually for women is another thing.

I may be a hypocrite.. i dont care,.. this board is about opinions.

First off, I agree with everyone's right to express their opinion on this site.

Also, not that it made a difference, but my guy used to dance for other guys and there was no contact (he danced on a bar).

I just admit that I'm puzzled by someone not wanting their SO to do what they themselves do for a living based on the often uninformed reasons others use to trash us with. But again, it's only my opinion, doesn't mean I'm wrong or right.

Your guy danced for other guys, not other women. Unless he was wasnt gay, id have a problem with it. Although if he was i prob. wouldn't be dating him.

My preference is not to date a male dancer, but if i found a certain male dancer to be a sweet kind, respectable man... it would be different.

I dont dance for a living.

I wasn't even trashing male strippers, look back in my post.

It seems you are taking personal offence "in my experiences" to what i am writing.

I dated a male stripper. I actually found it quite amusing when I'd go to his shows. Yeah, the women were definately allowed to touch more, and the guys would even grab their hands and rub it on them. Didn't bother me in the least. He was in very good shape and didn't drink, smoke, do drugs, etc... (hmm, now why the hell was he with me?....)

I wouldn't mind my husband dancing. After all I know that at the end of the night he's comming home to me. I trust him and his decisions.

This really has nothing to do with the man's profession. I've had police officers looking for a mistress for hire at the clubs lots. The subject is whether or not you trust your boyfriend.

I am not worried that my husband is going to go home with one of his customers, any more than he is worried that I am going home with one of mine.

And, yes we talk about show ideas, party bookings, and costumes over the dinner table. I have been know to steal his costumes from time to time, but mostly just hats and accessories.

My hubby hasn't been dancing for the last couple of years, but is starting to get back into it now. This is fun, we share tanning packages, share ideas for shaving and personal care, and get all done up for work together. We even use the same hair stylist. He is my best friend and life partner, and I get all the free table dances I can stand (whoo hoo!!).

As long as he was doing it as a means to an end which is to help create wealth... basically be doing it for similiar reasons to myself (not the exact same, just similiar).

Also.. it has everything to do with trust and the man himself more than what he does to earn $$.

For a long time, I kinda viewed male strippers with humor. Personally, I find more enjoyment with watching women dancing. However, I met a male stripper from Vegas and he had to be the most attractive man I've ever seen. He came into my club (in Houston) and I talked to him for a while; he changed my view on them.

I've tried to get to my boyfriend to strip. He has the body, all he needs is a tan and a shave (he won't do it). I've seen him dance and he could do it- he just won't saying he doesn't want to dance for ugly women or (especially) for men. It kind of irks me that he won't consider it- I dance for unattractive men and prefer it. I think its more of a homophobic issue more than anything else though.
