Venus, NY/NJ area clubs are very different from Vegas clubs - because there are so many dancers trying to get hired in the better NY/NJ area clubs most of them run on a schedule that rigidly controls which dancers are allowed to work on which nights. Granted that "exceptional" dancers are often allowed to come and go as they please once they have successfully auditioned at some clubs, while at the same time "not so exceptional" dancers may be forced to adhere to rigid schedules and/or are limited to working specific shifts. Unfortunately, you're probably not going to know how a particular club is going to react to you until after you fly in and successfully audition.

All accomodations in Manhattan are expensive. The cheapest usually run about $75 a night. Of course that's a relative bargain compared to some clubs charging $120-$200+ as a nightly stage fee.

If you want to try your luck, you should start by contacting the clubs you're interested in and advance scheduling an audition. If they know that you are flying in from far away, they may cut you some extra slack compared to a local dancer.

Sitara - You misunderstood my example. I said it "can
be" like that meaning it can SEEM like being stuck in
that situation. As far as introducing myself - why ruin
the rapport and mutual respect we've managed to build up despite our differences ? Yes, I've seen you AND
your friends and you're all pretty. Good luck and good
    hunting.
I don't know about the other customers but on the few
occassions when I go to PEC ( NEVER by myself-ALWAYS
with friends or clients ) we don't need any help or assistance interacting with the dancers.
YOU know that I have never done the VIP thing at PEC
and I doubt I ever will BUT you never know. There's a
    first time for everything.
