    Default Your stage routine....

When you are up on that stage, have you actually put some thought into your stage routine?

I know Paris Love mentioned something about she had changed some of her routine to cater to females... which moves (if you are able to describe them) do you feel caters to females ?

Since I do the School Girl look alot at my club: top and skirt.. I have worked out a routine that goes with this quite well or any outfit that is a top and skirt. When putting my routine together I knew I wanted to appeal to a few 'types' of people:

Those who love small breasts (I bring attention to the fact that they are REAL and PERKY)
Those who love butts (I bring attention to my butt alot)
Those who have an 'up-skirt' fetish (at the end of my stage act, I am topless and take my GString off yet leave my skirt on )
Those who like nipples as mind can and do stand out pretty well (especially when I tweak them just a little bit or use my tie to 'activate' them )

How about you ? Or do you just do whatever you feel like when you are on stage ?

Do you regard yourself as more of an impromtu stage dancer (do whatever you feel like on stage) or have you thought your stage 'act' thru and pretty much stick to the same moves/routine ???

    Just curious.

I guess I do not think about it too much. I pretty much listen to my music and move acordingly. I like alot of '80's new wave and some of it is really upbeat and I do find myself dancing faster. When I listen to Rock though I usually dance very slow and eroticly for some reason. My club is a "gentleman's club" so we are not allowed to do any floor work so we are pretty limited. We do not even have a pole but on stage we have a vent that blows air and It looks really sexy and your hair just softly blows up ala Marylin Monrone. So I just usually walk around posing like a playboy model i.e with my back to the crowed arch my back and shake my hair a little. Bend over without bending my knees, and running my hand between my legs, carressing my boobs.

I have some moves that I would do, and some of them worked very well in conjuction with each other. But I would play to the audence and the music. If a particular guy can't stop staring at me I will play to him for a minute then turn around, head last, and wink then move on, it entices him to come up and tip. then of course when someone tips you have to change your routine to go and get the tip. thats why I never did a compleate routine from start to finish. I did have certain moves that I would always try to match up with certain parts of songs though. Made it look really polished that way.

The first night I danced. I was all over the place and was having a hard time deciding what to do next.I made a $hitload of tips that night though and nowI am trying to put a lot more thought into what I do, and I figure I can garner even more ca$h.This past WEdnsday I danced in tight boxer briefs.I was in a cage and they worked well because I could put emphasis on my crotch by pushing up against the side of the pole and working it up and down.I would really like to improve and add variety to my dance moves.A very beautiful lesbian woman I met used to coach female strippers and she helped me alot with different things such as making a smooth transition from my knees to my feet and back again.I am having a hard time trying to roll my body when I am on my knees leaned all the way back.I guess it comes with practice and upper body strength. This weekend I have some great things planned I got a glow in the dark thong, glow in the dark cock rings and some rub on latex lotion(the salesman promised it would not clog my pores)Changing my routine according to tippers is tough at the club I work sundays because their ar rails at several levels around the stage and it makes it alot more difficult to move from place to place smoothly.

I just do whatever my body does. LOL

I kind of go with the music, but while I'm up there I'll pick out two or three guys that are watching me and look like $$ and play up to them particularly. I don't know what it is, but I can usually tell by looking at people and how they look at me what kind of mood to use with them (ie, cutesy, innocent, sensual, intense, etc).

Ok, a few tips from Kat that I have learned from many a dance genre:

    1) don't walk out immediately, wait until the bridge/chorus of the music breaks. Let them anticipate your arrival!!!

    2) Start so slowly and don't do any pole/floor until at least halfwway through. If I am dancing to a rocking song...I come in with arms raised, hooting and hollering, like the drunken party girl ready to get down. I am 99% sober when this happens though.....

    3) Find a man and FOCUS on him...but learn to glaze your eyes over so that anyone can think they are being stared at...this takes time/skill

    4) I don't recommend getting on the floor unless someone comes to tip you....

5)Its like sex..BUILD IT UP!!!! If your body is not warmed up and ready...don't attempt too many pole tricks/splits, etc...does not look good if you are stiff and pull your groin muscle...

More tips will come upon request...meow!

    They're great Katrine

Another tip that was passed onto me by another dancer and I actively try to use:

If possible, end your stage routine in the middle of the stage.

As for your fourth tip.. if you are in a club, like myself, where you generally go on stage to advertise yourself (hence generally don't get tipped)... do some floor work. HOWEVER.. also learn, what I call, 'bridging' moves... learn how to get from the floor to a standing position in a sexy, sensual way - with a pole and without a pole.

I start out by scanning the crowd and getting peoples attention, then I do a big pole move. After that I go with the song to get into it, then I start catering to the customers around me. I dance faster and bigger (if that makes sense) on a friday night when the club is pumping. On a weeknight I am slow and sensual and mostly concerned with who I am attracting so I can dance for them.

I do kind of the opposite of Katrine...since we do 18 minute sets, the first song is generally the fastest, the last song is slow and for floor work, andeverything else is in between.
I start off pretty energetic, with lots of moving around and pole work, then slow it down so that I'm not doing much except rolling around, spreading, running my hands over my body etc during the last song.
The beginning is when I do my funny stuff, smile, makes jokes and generally get the crowd comfortable...the last song I do a bit of eye contact but mainly try to look like I'm in my own little world.

Now that I have left my current club.. it is going to be interesting how my stage routine works out at a new club. I shall be working at the only other decent enough club on the Gold Coast called Crazy Horse for Easter.... it is definately a different stage set up.

    We'll see how I go.

Then I'm off to Melbourne for two weeks trying out two different clubs... once again, different stage set ups.

    I'll keep everyone informed.

I don't do the exact same thing every time I'm on stage, but it isn't completely spontaneous either. I have certain moves choreographed that go with certain parts of songs. I don't do any pole tricks at all-I think they look cool but I have no acrobatic talent whatsoever, and I don't want to risk hurting myself for an extra couple of dollars. I do a lot of floor work though, and I move very slowly and sensually. It helps waste time when it feels like there is a looong song on and no one is at the tip rail tipping me.

The club i work at right now barely has a stage - what stage there is, is tiny and covered in carpet (yes, carpet burns are a problem) so there's not much scope for a good stage routine, but i do usually have semi-set routines. I have certaiin costumes and songs that have very definite routines and moves - Call On Me, What You Waiting For, Personal Jesus, others are more generic - usually slow songs, my routine to For Your Eyes Only is probably no different to my routine to Mariah Carey's Honey.

I thinks it is important to be able to adapt them according to the audience - if i know guys sitting close to the stage like my ass, i'll play that up a bit more, or i'll make a fuss of certain guys - stags, birthday boys, young ones, that can be useful in controlling the crowd too if they're a bit noisy or too quiet.

Like GCG no one tips (in the UK as a whole generally!) so the stage is there as advertising/ entertainment.

It sucks that no-one tips in the uk!

I wish there was a club that changed all that.
